When I played this I went for Vampiric Bats(a swarm) described in the small Bestiary section of the DB Rules. As a Ferocity 2 Monster, typically doing 2d6 damage, and only taking half damage from piercing, this was a really tough first encounter
I asked the oracle if I had a Harpy or Vampiric Bats. I got the bats. I didn't realize they were Ferocity 2, and barely made it out alive. If I had noticed the ferocity...that woulda been tough!
Ensure that if you use Timestamps you put the following in your description: Timestamps 0:00 Intro 30:20 Actual Play Begins Without doing it like this, the timestamps will not display in the video.
Just found your channel. Been working on solo gaming myself recently as I have no friends around who will play, I do play on discord with people and Dragonbane is great for both. We have almost finished the adventure book. I like those token packs. Usually I do TotM but for solo it does help to have a small setup.
Absolutely theater of the mind is fine, but there’s just some thing about using some miniatures that activates my lizard brain more especially when I’m playing by myself. Glad you found this channel and glad you’re here!

The poison dagger is a “trap card.” All that happens is that you run the risk of getting poisoned, you don’t get a dagger (if you look closely at the picture, the dagger is broken). There are other (trap) cards like it, that make it more clear how it works. That said, you are completely free to play however you choose. I really like the look of those Tabletop Tokens. I don’t need them, but I really want them. They’re not available in Sweden, though, and I’m not paying for shipping/VAT for something like that, so it’s going to be a no, unfortunately. Come for the game development, stay for the solo play. Great stuff!
@@hariszark7396He referred to the bat as “they,” even though it was just one bat. And some people insist on that, hence the joke that the bat had “they/them” pronouns.
In English the correct usage would be they them when referring to somebody without knowing the gender. This is been a rule since the 1300s. However when it comes to a bat or another animal, the proper pronoun should be it.
@@jackskelington7377 The correct usage for a single oddity we don't know the gender is "it". When we have plural, many oddities, then the correct is "They". So, when we are talking about A Bat, the correct usage is "The Bat" or "it". "The Bat was flying. It went in a cave." "The Bats were flying. They went in a cave." "The person went in the house. It was hiding there". "The people went in the house. They were hiding there." Looks like there is a very simple way to say all that and the usage of "They/them" makes no sense for a single person. I don't need degree in English language to see that.
