Saw this kid wrestling at district 11 districts! Kids a beast
I coached for quite awhile at youth and HS level in PA. Had “success”. Familiar with RedHawks etc…Great job with this breakdown. Appreciate the insight
Great philosophy at the end. Love the long term thinking and ultimately instilling that the goal is more about constant improvement over “just winning.”
Praying for the best for your channel, grow the sport!
Great edit and congratulations to you both!
Awesome vid man I’m happy to see your wrestlers grow as people and show the work you and them have put in for many years
Great video! Love your breakdown of all the matches
Man I am so glad the youtube algorithm brought me here. What Tyler did was absolutely phenomenal, talk about a performance of the tournament. Love your commentary here and it's clear you really are passionate about coaching and grateful for your time with Tyler. You clearly did an amazing job as his coach. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I just subscribed to your channel and intend to go through your video log. All the best moving forward
I *KNOW* you're happy for him!
I coached my kid in NJ whose team Southern (Frank Molinaro's alma mater) won 4 State titles & he was Captn of his jr and sr year, was a great nice kid & I was wrong in my coaching technique often, He became a better Wrestler than I was in 8th somehow so I got him into Maurice Worthys hands (NCAA finalist from West Point) & it was the best decision ever! Great job Coach and Ty!!
That’s cool, interesting how that works.. Are you any relation to Mike Galante? I went to Lehigh with him.. Also, I wrestled Molinaro twice in college, I think it was his freshman year, he was super good, beat him in the dual, lost to him at NCAAs, his leg riding was so rough lol, my back was killin me after nationals
Determination, grit and talent. Congratulations to him.
Hey Seth, great video man...thanks for sharing! Like the comment below, I'm glad the algorithm popped this video up at the end of a different one I watched. I did like it and subscribed.
Indeed there are now seven 4Xers, but it was great learning there have only been 8 Ultimate Road Warriors and that Tyler was the first true freshman! That's amazing! I think I watched most all his matches this year, and it was great to see him selflessly bump up from 141 to 149, and the amount of muscle he put on by the NCAA tournament was remarkable. Really curious to see how things pan out in the PSU room over the next few years.
You are definitely putting out some PA hammers, so keep up the great work sir! I understand kids should do what's best for them, but it would be nice to see more PA talent stay in PA and rebuild programs like Clarion, Lock Haven, Bloomsburg, Edinboro, etc.
Great philosophy coach 👏
PA vs PA is iron sharpening iron to the top and beyond. Love it all....
I remember watching you and your brother at Hershey. Kudos to your analytical breakdown.
Strong leg riders as I recall. 🧐
Once they slapped those legs in, you weren't getting up or out. Time to look for the out of bounds.
Great video man !
great video!
I saw a wrestler from Boise State do this about 20 years ago.....no one since.......7 straight wins to bag 3rd......more impressive than a title IMO. Go Tyler!
There was a guy from Edinboro who did it in the 2010s but I forget his name and year
I think Pat McGee did it in 2021. (Minnesota kid)
David Carr did this couple years ago. Lost in the first round as the 1 seed. Wrestled back for 3rd.
Great video and great advice you give kids…
Wow the competition he had to beat to get that bronze is insane. Very impressive and motivating for me.
Seth- I enjoy your videos. They make me feel smarter after I watch.
Id like to use your clip at the end of the Kasak video. Its exactly how I feel
thank you, i appreciate that.. you can use any clip, just make sure you credit me in some way
Way to go Tyler!!
Very impressive!! I never knew he did this! He will be a major factor next year! As if Penn State needs anymore great wrestlers!? Good job kid! 👏👏👏
Hey Seth, I remember you back in the day pulling off the same thing at States your high school senior year. Losing first round in a super tight match wirh Kyle Fluke to wrestle all the way back to 3rd. Was super impressed by you.
lol yep, all of the “it was a fluke” puns from people were out of control, fun fact: first match in the wrestle backs I had was against Quentin Wright, who won NCAAs for Penn State 4 years later, this sport is funny sometimes
@seth.ciasulli your brother's state final match vs Brian Sticca was the best high school match I ever saw.
Was surprised with win over Arrington. Hate seeing PA vs PA in and before blood round
On the bright side, I can't remember when PA has had less than 2 national champions in a year.
Question How can I watch your old technique videos if possible? They were really helpful.
thank you! my old technique videos are located here: www.youtube.com/@seth.ciasulli/playlists .. you have to be a member to view them, it's only $5 per month
crazy seeing myself at 1:47 in 8th place at 97lbs lmao
He’s only a Freshman so he still has a bright future.
8:07 I use this exact move (bow and arrow) back in 2017 at a high school tournament. The ref totally allowed it
Hs vs college
1 more thing
Matt Ciasulli vs Sticca is my No 1 best PA state final
Since the Abas family has a long and storied history in the sport of wrestling it would seem you would know how to pronounce the name, no biggie but surprising considering all the NCAA titles and world medals. Incredible commentary, well done.
sorry, admittedly I’m not great at pronouncing last names, and I’m not 100% in the loop with historical wrestling families. this one definitely slipped through the cracks. thanks though!
Good high school coaches are mainly unsung 👌🏿 heroes in an athlete's development 👏🏿. State titles don't guarantee success.
Hey Seth, how tall is Tyler?
i haven't seen him in a few years, but he's probably somewhere around 5'4 - 5'6
Isn’t shane vaness 149?
Shayne was out with an injury this year
I watched him wrestle the Wv guy. He would not beat him again
U know what ur talking about
A lot of people don’t know shit first video I watched of urs good job
Agreed, thanks!
It’s a small world b. My wife sold a piece of furniture couple weeks ago and the guy that bought it told us Tyler works for his dad on a farm in state college . He said Tyler is such a respectful guy . Go Tyler
For sure, such a small world.. yeah, Tyler is super respectful, they’re good people, and the meat that his dad sells (kasak kuts) are delicious, when i bought my house he stacked my freezer with a bunch of different cuts as a house warming gift, they were so good
@@seth.ciasulli I will have to check that out . Take care
