I really like the way yall trap your units, with the clean out plug. Here in Austin its all copper and nothing has a clean out or a union to separate the line. In Buffalo.....nobody glued the trap in...so you can just pull it out to clean it. Its interesting to see how different areas do things. Im gonna start to push for some way to clean out drains better. Having no way to access the other than the vent or the tap off the drain pan is a bit ridiculous. That rust on the dome of stage one is a give away that it's been overheating.
As always another great video Steve
So Texas like Cali your not supposed to drain on the roof? We see a lot not glued as well, Thanks Jason!
Great video! Do you work much outside Jefferson county? I did for 15 years and if you do
not live in Jefferson county you can get a rebate on local taxes for every hour you work outside the county.
Interesting, I did not know that. We go south as far as munfordsville, up in to Indiana to Memphis and Scottsburg then Frankfort, we have a shop in Lexington
@@EverythingHVACR Do you pay Jefferson Co income tax? At one time it was called the sinking fund if you live outside Jeff Co. it is normally a 1.45 percent tax 2.2 if you live inside the county

@@EverythingHVACR Oh OK, I thought your company was located in Louisville, Jefferson county.
I did residential HVAC. How in world would you clean that indoor coil w/o spilling water down the return to the inside the building. I assume You putsome kind of shield in return opening to block water
Yes, it is difficult to clean any package unit evap without getting water inside, it helps if it's kept clean you can rinse with easy pressure without making too much of a mess, they get neglected a lot of times because of this reason but if needed return can be blocked off, these are actually easier than say a Trane slanted coil. Thanks for the comment James!
Even old turds pay the bills! Love the air leaking on curb, happen more than most people think.
That the mb3?
@@EverythingHVACR when the loadout coming? I have the mb2. With an old blue force vickers sling on it. Lol. Didn't want spend extra for a sling. I returned the tpxl. It was to tippy for me. Thinking of getting the mb3 since I like the mb2 alot
I hear this a lot, it's the bare minimum in my bag. I'll have to work on something
I enjoy working on this particular models. Carrier did a great job, back when things were built to last. This units can take a beating and still run.
Truth, I like these too, Thanks Henry!
