Absolute legend. The word “legend” is thrown around these days but this man is a real legend. He’s comic timing and facial expressions are untouchable and he can wrestle in his sleep. He has done so much for NXT and helped countless people progress. He MUST be a future HOF! Mr. Regal I tip my hat to you sir.
Best gimmick bar none was Regal commentating on his own fights. I don't know if that was a feature of the original USA broadcast but it was a regular feature of the British edition of WCW. And of course he often featured on the British edition. Always a highlight of the week. (The crowd are booing him) "They don't seem to like that other fellow much." "I did that rather well." (His host commentator points out an instance of Regal clearly deploying a prohibited manoeuvre on the ref's blind side) "What lovely weather we've been having lately." If ever they find another wrestler with Regal's talent they've got to revive that character.
Please WWE. Please give this man a WWE Title run! He's a great talker, a great heel, and a great wrestler. My favorite wrestler in the business right now.
Legend! He sounds like Sean Bean as well lol. His demons did get the better of him but glad he has (hopefully) beaten them now. Absolutely awesome in the ring.
@@shoWbitz actually I think Regal’s a melting pot of British swag...little bits of Broz, Firth, Grant, Bean, Clive Owen mixed in there....or alternately Robert Palmer on the growth...had the same accent and hairstyle

I think Regal kinda blew it for himself and he would probably tell you that himself. He was in line for main event runs before (remember he won a King of the Ring tournament?) but his demons got the better of him. It's a real shame, he could and should have been so much bigger.
CRIMINALLY underrated. What an important part of the wrestling business. Regal has done so much that a lot of fans are not aware of.
Lungsy1988 I know it's so sad he retired. When I saw it in NXT I was very sad. He's so technical, one of my favorites of all time no doubt about it.

I've always liked and respected Mr. Regal. I hope it's not too late for him to get a push for the WWE title. He's good for at least one big push.

Think it's more a Lancashire accent, since he genuinely grew up in Blackpool.
