- The Russian-made Ural Sahara sidecar motorcycle. It is powered by a 750cc "boxer" twin 4-stroke engine that makes 41 horsepower and 42 pound fee of torque, through a 4-speed transmission and shaft drive. The entry level Sahara retails for $17,999.

I'm from Russia. In Russia you can buy an old Ural for 500$ and less. This motorbike is needed to you if you will drive on bad roads and not on highway. Sorry, my English is bad. Hi from Russia!

в далеком 80 у нас был такой, зеленый, здоровенный. в люльке одно удовольствие сидеть. маленькие были детьми, тентом накроешься голова торчит, едешь ветер дует, класс ощущения. прыгали на складном рыгаче заводки, инерции и нашего веса не хватало иногда, поршня клокотали но иногда даже сами заводили его. а еще садились всеми братьями и сестрами в люльку и сбоку на крыло и ездили с отцом по деревне по делам. вот время то было.
While Urals are still produced at Irbit plant in Russia's Ural mountains, it is an American company headquartered in Seattle. The guy who privatized it from the government in the 90's immigrated to the US and moved the company with him. Most of Ural sales are in North America.

I wouldn't mind owning one even if it's built in Russia under Putin but not at the price they are selling them at. May be if it's under $10K--even that's too high for what you get. You could buy a BMW R1200 for what these go for....just not a good buy unless you just want to burn money.

Yes, way to expensive.
I really wanted one of these because of the sidecar and two wheel drive plus I liked the retro looks to them. After doing a lot of research I went with a Ducati Scrambler desert sled and then added a side car to it for my wife. The main reason I went this route was because unreliability of the Ural and due to the fact a lot of our camping adventures take us miles and miles on old logging roads where we don't have cell service mostly. There also was the question how the Ural would perform on high altitude trails like the Imogene pass in Colorado. for the price of the Ural I saved a couple of thousand buying the Ducati and side car setup and have quite a bit more power and torque not to mention reliability. Don't get me wrong I really like the looks of the Ural and am thinking of buying a used one to tool around town in I just don't think I could trust it very far away from civilization.

если ты про ГРМ устаревший штанговый? В 40 е уже были двигателя с 4 мя клапанами на цилиндр, с двумя верхними распредвалами и системой впрыска, алюминиевым блоком, угадай какие?)) В-2 что на Т-34, так что прогресс буксует где то на одном месте
