    Local here. I've heard alot of people say it isn't authentic. As far as side items go that's another story. But that being said all if the sausages in the restraunt are made at another restraunt in the Sarasota area called Geiers. They have a local German kitchen and market. So know that if you eat here you are getting authentic German sausages made from someone's grandmother's old timey recipe. We love to eat here and it's Oktoberfest style where you are with others. Which I love! Great choice if you are traveling with a ton of family

    To be honest, us germans don't usually eat these gingerbread hearts :D We eat it without frosting on top and buy the good stuff! The hearts are just gifts :)
    Also, the way you say Küche sounds so funny, keep going! :*

    I love this idea! Breaking down each pavilion. I have been to Epcot a hundred times and didn't know all of the dining options you shared here! Though Beirgarten is a family favorite, and one stop we never miss on these trips. Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to see the videos in all the other pavilions as well.

    I love the idea of a video for each pavilion. Biergarten is great. I’ve been 3 times. Good food, proper roast dinners not burger/hot dog junk. Entertainment is fun. Don’t hurry your dinner & you’ll get to see 2 shows, both different. The first time we went we got a front row table so a good viewing spot & easy to get to the dance floor. We shared with 3 lovely ladies that time & got chatting. They were staying in the same hotel as us & we saw them on a Disney bus a few days later & we compared other restaurants we’d visited in between.

    I used to work at the Biergarten Restaurant as a server. Last visited in 2017. Food was great and absolutely authentic. My 3 kids loved it, real german food in USA.

    Germany is probably my family’s favorite pavilion. We love it for the food, beer, shopping and the Werther’s Caramel shop. We never miss eating at the Biergarten. We absolutely love eating their, meeting new friends and enjoying the great show. We especially love going at Christmas time. The decorations are beautiful. I can’t tell you how many times my kids got to light that Christmas Tree. We’ve also made a habit of buying the Christmas Tree Pickle ornaments and giving them to many friends and family over the years. The one thing I miss is the soft chocolate dipped Mickey Gingerbread cookies. For some reason they don’t sell them there anymore. Luckily we’re able to find them other places. I’ve even had friends bring some of them home for me when they take their trips. Shoot...Now I’m hungry!!! Thanks for sharing.

    We love Germany!! My husband always convinces me to go back to beirgarten, and each time I am pleased. I do not like much of the food just because of personal taste, but the things I do like, are super good. I feel as though this place would be best suited for a group looking to have a good time. It's fun, very pub like for the atmosphere, and you can really spend a lot of time here if you have time to kill- hanging out and drinking, watching the show, and continuously eating! We've always gone with friends and especially for college program cast members its a really great time. :)

    While Biergarten is a bit on the pricey side, especially if you don't come hungry, I did find the food to be fairly authentic and good. I grew up in Germany and I am usually extremely disappointed by so called "German" restaurants in the US. Overall I would give Biergarten a B+. Not all of the dishes are 100% authentic and most of them are good, rather than fantastic, but it definitely gave me a big hit of nostalgia when I went. As far as atmosphere goes, it's kind of noisy and a bit kitschy, but still fun.

      My mom enjoyed it 25 years ago when we went when I was a child. She is from Germany. I'd say they should try to expand the experience beyond the narrow view of the Bavarian elements of German culture since Germany is far more diverse than just Bavaria. But I do suppose that is just what Americans expect.

    I enjoyed Biergarten. My ex mother-in-law is German so I ate German food quite a bit. I also had the opportunity to go to Germany and indulge on authentic German food which was fabulous!
    I thought the food was good at Biergarten. The atmosphere was also nice. I enjoyed the music too.
    If I drank a liter of beer, you'd have to carry me out! Some German beers are quite strong! 🍻😆

    I love Biergarten. I like to go early in the day and stuff myself. I then don't usually need to eat for the rest of the day, so in that regard it's actually good value because three perhaps even two counter service meals would be more expensive then here and the food would be nowhere near as good. Also non alcoholic drinks are included in your meal here too so I actually find this place to be a good place to go when you don't want to spend a lot on food.

    Biergarten is a great value if you are on the Dining Plan with all table service--I think it is signature dining worth 2 table service credits. Since it is a buffet with entertainment it is well worth it and you will be full enough to get by with snack credits for the meal you skip.

      Tiffany, Read the reviews for Biergarten in this vlog and Trip Advisor. I would NEVER EVER recommend Biergarten. This is simply a sausage fest for $50. If you do not like sausage you will be disappointed! Strange and usually huge people are crammed into a picnic table and are sweaty and smelly from walking in sun all day. You are constantly have to move for the people and kids at your table every time they want to get out to the buffet. Also, you get constantly get bumped into from the table behind you. If there are kids in table behind you might be wearing some of their food as they pass by you. Did I mention that people are SWEATY and SMELLY B O EVERYWHERE! Not Appetite inducing. Go anywhere but Biergarten for dinner. Grab a Sausage link and beer from cart outside this would be a better alternative.

    • @LanierSched
      @LanierSched 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      mike j: I read the reviews... seems way more positive then negative replies. Sorry you had a bad experience...but as you can read, it is not the normal experience. Plenty of meats besides sausage to eat: Schnitzel, Rouladen, German Meatloaf, Pork Roast, Roast Chicken. Although too late to tell Tiffany Anderson, there is a youtube video called "Biergarten Dinner Buffet"... film of ALL the food being served. Also.. go for lunch...it is much cheaper then anyway!

    Just as a fun little FYI. Haribo is pronounced HA- REE- BO. The A in HA is the same A sound as when you say Han (Han Solo) the I makes a EE sound and then the O is a very stunted O. Like the O at the end of Video but just cut very short. :) German is a very staccato language. :)
