I am new to this, but in all of my research, bleach based products are a NO GO on marine upholstery. The bleach breaks down oils present on the upholstery and in the stitching, causing it to break down prematurely. I would exercise extreme caution using any bleach based product. I would not allow it to get on any of the stitching if you do use it. Rather, use it in a more controlled manner, applying only to the panels in between stitching.

try concrobium mold control after the first cleaning. Spray it once a month and no mold or mildew. Fabric safe on vinyl, canvas and synthetics. They have it at home depot and it is used by pros in flood houses. At the end of the season, spray everything and next spring you won't have any mold or mildew. It is more a preventive than a remover.

BLEACH!!! Did I hear you say the word BLEACH?!?!? Well that’s all that’s going on, is the bleach kills the mild and make it look like it’s fading away. With either product, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to shake the bottle first. There are probably numerous chemicals in each that will help to do their job that they are designed to do, better. First and foremost, bleach is a very harsh chemical to be used on any surface. You’d be better off starting with an ALL-Purpose Cleaner (well diluted) to kill and open the pores of the fabric. Then 303 might have had a fighting chance. In my experience, 303 is an amazing product. Nothing protects like 303. The problem is, people don’t look after there stuff till it’s almost too late and then they expect miracles from a bottle......not to mention spraying the chemicals over the water. 🤔 Not sure if that’s a great idea?

Did you end up with any streaking on the green color parts below? It's pretty easy to remove the mold with many products but id be concerned that bleach will bleed the colors. I've seen it happen with other products on my boat. Any thoughts? Do you have a video or pics from the next day?

My boat is a 2017 and I still have issues with bleach products trying to streak the colors.

      No, no streaking at all.

This did nothing for the mold on my boat. I've tried it all nothing so far. Marine 31 with magic eraser did not work. 409, Awsome, Star Brite, goo be gone. Cleaned most of it but still have several spots nothing seems to work

Sounds as if the mold has gotten into the fabric backing and or foam of the cushion causing it to wick up.

jonsm114 I would agree if this was a really old boat that had cotton or natural fiber stitching. With modern boat stitching, this is not as much of a concern. Marine 31 says online that their product is less caustic. I think with enough dilution of water to wipe off and then a protectant we should be good.

@@wannabefoodtvstar what would you say is a newer boat with newer stitching? I have a 2004 Glastron, modern stitching or old stitching? I put some Star Brite mildew remover on, washed it, rinsed it, afterwards, four places on my stitching opened up, has bleach in it just like the 31.
