Homeschooling seems like it would be such a good fit for you with Evonne. So many co-ops out there for other teachers to pour into her 1-2!days a week and kid interaction but you have flexibility in the schedule outside of co-op days. Loved your life updates. Fall is thinking about coming around here but summer is still holding on. So ready for fall.
I can 100% relate! During this season my “me time” is often during Saturday morning nap and I will go to a workout class and then go thrifting for my daughters clothes! My husband encourages me to find a hobby but TH-cam and thrifting are more fun to me than any other hobby!
Aww my 2nd girl prayed specific for a little sister and really believed God for it. It was so sweet... so I knew we were having our third girl. When I handed them pink ice cream cones to announce the gender, she squeeled, "I knew it was a girl because it's what I asked for!" She was 3yrs old then... my 5yr old asked me a few days later why she didnt get a baby brother... so I quietly asked her if she'd prayed for a baby brother of just asked God for a baby? ...she dropped her little head down and said, "I only prayed for a baby... so next time i will ask for a boy!!!" ❤ So both of our girls are now praying for a boy... God loves to prove Himself and I feel like sometimes leads little kids to pray for certain things to grow their faith. ❤ I've learned that symptoms don't have anything to do with gender :) all three of my pregnancies were completely different, from how i was shaped (how high i carried w/just one), to how bad i felt, along with some skin issues wih just one of them... and mine were all the same gender. 😊 all girls. . . . Please pray for our teeny preemie in NICU❤ she was born at 31weeks.
My kids are 16 and 20 and I STILL miss them like crazy when they go back to school after summer break. But, being home to hear all about their days is still the best. Congrats on your pregnancy!
Every fall I make the time to take some walks in the woods by myself to enjoy the fall colors. I find if I go a particular time, that the light filtering through the leaves makes for an almost magical experience. Another fall must is to eat pumpkin treats!
Those Trader Joe's chocolate croissants are amazing. Me and my family love them. I also recommend the almond croissants too, with plenty of powdered sugar!
Good for you Megan to get some time away by yourself! Coincidently just today I drove 2 hours by myself to go shopping. I am an empty nester so I do get a lot of alone time. The community we live in basically has a Walmart for shopping and that is it. Sometimes I like to go alone and not invite a friend so that I can go where I want to go and take my time without worrying about someone waiting on me. The town I went to has a couple of very nice antique stores. I only made it to one but spent about an hour browsing the store. You deserve alone time as you are such a hands on wife and mother. How nice for Josh to give you this time. Never feel guilty about getting away as one needs to fill up the tank now and then!! Thank you for taking us along! Hope you are feeling well!!

Also, I am SO excited, when this came out I was 19 weeks pregnant, so it's so excited to go along in my first pregnancy with you! Since I'm also tired from pregnancy, I'm not super energized to do ALL the fall things, but I do hope to go apple picking and make apple pie, as well as lots of pumpkin baked goods 😄

I loved the fall fashion! I literally paused the video to go up to my closet to see if I had a black dress to wear with a flannel and I have a long sleeved one! I put a flannel over the dress and hung it back up so that I would remember to try it when the fall weather actually arrives in NC. But I thought it was such a cute look and I wouldn't have thought to pair the two! 😊

Another great video Megan. Awwww, this sure took me back to when my kids were little and heading off to school. I too, sent my kids, they needed more interaction. Mine are now 23 and 24, poof, the years go by way too quickly!!! I cried every year they went to school, when they were little, I just LOVED our summers together!!!
When my son left our house for the first time, I broke my heart for a week, maybe it's because i spent most of my time with him . Now he's back with us at the moment but i know when he's off again the tears will come and that's me at 59. But you have to go through the same thing another 3 times. But I've got my beautiful dogs who i love with all my heart by the way my son is 41. And he's the greatest gift I have ever got..hope you're scan goes great.

I could feel your emotion with the topic of the kids getting bigger and picturing lifes seasons; I definitely feel and get the same way with my daughter and she's only a year and a half 😅❤😂 I'm glad your pregnancy symptoms havent been too overwhelming! I remember my entire 1st trimester I was EXTREMELY nauseous to where I couldn't even look at a screen let alone move around and anything over 70 degrees had me boiling up to where I felt like I'd pass out. Thankfully that passed shortly after I started the 2nd. Definitely alot of naps. My big cravings were spicy chicken sandwiches and kid cereal 😅😂 Sending love and well wishes! Don’t worry about the children all leaving your nest. I had the exact same thought but my last two daughters got married this summer and it’s actually very nice to have only a little bit of laundry and spending more time in things I used to want to do. Feels like now I can do things I always wanted to do but never could because I was a mom and I loved having the children home but now I really can go into what I never got to do. It’s just a new chapter in our lives and I tell you it’s fun. Not as sad as you might think . God bless you

Honestly that day out is exactly the kind I'm hoping to have some day this fall. I homeschool and get so stressed in fall when that starts plus all the sports and activities my high schoolers are in. It's such a change from summer. I am hoping for a day by myself and I want to leave in the morning, pick up a coffee and just drive somewhere while I listen to podcasts. I don't even know where I will go yet. Probably a little shopping. I think it would be fun to hike by a river or something. I am actually very tempted to drive to Inherit Clothing but it's 4 hours away and I think that's maybe too far for one day. I've been there once and would love to go back. I just hope I can fit something in my schedule.
Sounds incredibly fun!!!! Running errands and just getting out is just therapeutic, not everyone finds this fun but think it definitely is! Raised three daughters and used to take a few hours one day a week for each daughter; used to do that for 1 kid each week and would go out for lunch together and try to do an activity, think it helped to develop a close relationship with each especially as they were getting older. Kids are each so different and just like doing things special to each individual kid is important
Autumn is my favourite season too - maybe because my birthday is in October! Unless your tartan/plaid skirt has pleats at the back and an wrap over front it won't look anything like a kilt 😅

Honestly that day out is exactly the kind I'm hoping to have some day this fall. I homeschool and get so stressed in fall when that starts plus all the sports and activities my high schoolers are in. It's such a change from summer. I am hoping for a day by myself and I want to leave in the morning, pick up a coffee and just drive somewhere while I listen to podcasts. I don't even know where I will go yet. Probably a little shopping. I think it would be fun to hike by a river or something. I am actually very tempted to drive to Inherit Clothing but it's 4 hours away and I think that's maybe too far for one day. I've been there once and would love to go back. I just hope I can fit something in my schedule.

Sounds incredibly fun!!!! Running errands and just getting out is just therapeutic, not everyone finds this fun but think it definitely is! Raised three daughters and used to take a few hours one day a week for each daughter; used to do that for 1 kid each week and would go out for lunch together and try to do an activity, think it helped to develop a close relationship with each especially as they were getting older. Kids are each so different and just like doing things special to each individual kid is important
Autumn is my favourite season too - maybe because my birthday is in October! Unless your tartan/plaid skirt has pleats at the back and an wrap over front it won't look anything like a kilt 😅

Another wonderful video! I teared up too when Yvonnie went to school, it brings back so many memories when my kids were little! Hey, I liked the mac and cheese story, how sweet of Josh to go get it for you! I love Trader Joes too, our closest one is in Buffalo, NY which is 90 minutes from us, so when we do get there I love going and shopping there.

So fun seeing you visit places that I’ve been! We used to take the kids to Dutch Wonderland when they were little! I’m from the Lehigh Valley so we’ve spent a lot of time in Lancaster! Also Trader Joe’s way down on 309 is where I have to go too! Also down there for IKEA! 💕
