It's not very touristic city for Romania but it's the most important one after Bucharest. If you read some history of romanians you will understand why. First of all, you walked only in 30-40% of the important areas. Behind the Palace of Culture there is a beautiful garden full of cafes and restaurants + a big mall. Second, as you arrived at the Cultural House of Students, in the left street as you climb the hill starts maybe the most important area of the town. It's called Copou neighbourhood and it's a 100% 3-4 km walkable boulevard where you can find the biggest university in Iasi and the first ever in Romania, 2 very important and beautiful parks, statues, museums, restaurants, different arhitecture villas, the botanical garden etc. The boulevard it's full of trees on both sides. At the end there is the Agriculture University and its very green campus. I already wrote a lot. It's a 2-3 days visiting area - the city itself and the surrounding area (the county of Iasi owns 2 castles and a big known romanian winery plant). The city doesn't have hostels because as I said, it's not very touristic, but it's totally worth visiting and the costs are not bigger comparing to the rest of the romanian cities in the end. The hotel might cost more but the restaurants, transport, museums passes etc are cheaper than other cities despite the fact Iasi is the second largest city in Romania.

Sorry, but with how much money did you come to visit? 🤣🤣🤣 Hotel prices are normal as everywhere. Take some comparisons or go to bucuresti to see where you will sleep 🤣🤣🤣And there are applications on the phone to search for a hotel. You're in 2019. You do not have to go for 2 hours 🤣🤣🤣

Cities all over the world, have their own charm. However to really understand and appreciate any country, visit the surrounding villages of the cities, you will find the country folk much more appreciative of visitors to these communities.

Amit Bist It is one of the biggest mixed use projects in Romania. It has office buildings, a significant residential area and a big mall. Besides that there is also a park, which in my opinion is the main tourist attraction of Iași. You’d definitely enjoy Palas and the Palace of Culture..no matter the age.

    WOW
you made all the wrong choises, in Iasi you may live for free...you don´t need to pay for it
    the centrum it´s always expensive
next time try the "country" rural zone...
i will dislike this movie, because it´s a first look, and the cheap hotel you foundt it´s shitty and expensive also. Romanians generaly are very polite and usualy you are not supose to pay-
