Super clear instructions! Thank you!!!
You're welcome, thanks for the comment!
Thanks, pretty entry level stuff. Although, When someone has an existing interface. How would someone integrate the quad cortex as a 2nd interface in a DAW, while still using the existing audio interface as an output? It's very easy in MAC. Kind of confusing in windows. Thanks Great content. T😎
Thank you very much! The Windows solution depends on your DAW and other interface. If you’re using Reaper, you can select different input (your Quad Cortex) and output interfaces (your original interface). Other DAWs will need you to install ASIO4ALL which allows you to use multiple ASIO drivers to split the input / output.
Would you recommend to use usb signal of the QC rather than running the QC via XLR in a Interface/Mixer (also connected with the pc via USB) due to quality?
Yes, we recommend using USB whenever possible for the highest quality recording. That way your signal path stays digital. When using an XLR to connect, you are introducing analog to digital conversions which can degrade the sound unless using high end converters.
Some of us don't use or have deep dived into ir packs can you rec a good cab?
Yes, you can achieve great recordings using the factory IRs in the Cortex. If you’re interested in exploring different IRs, we offer a free pack on our website, along with video guides to walk you through the process. Cheers!
