Fact about Mamamoo: They're so inclusive and they talk about self love since early years, also they adjusted their lightstick so fans with disabilities can enjoy as others, Hwasa said if she's "fat" for Korean standard she'll make her OWN standard,, and thr fact she's supporting the no-bras in a conservative country speaks volumes. They've been working non-stop lately and I'm feeling it is about time to search more about time because no one is doing it like them. Also listen to "YES I AM" on their yt channel for the right lyrics honestly the best song to start knowing Mamamoo.
oStarshipo oSubso it's probably because one time in their fansign or fan meet one fan approached mamamoo(specifically wheein) and the fan was mute so they were enlightened that they have fans with disabilities. Thus, they decided to add the vibration in the light stick so that the fans can 'listen' to their music in a way as well. ❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊😊 sorry if it was long. I just wanted to share how it came to that.
Go wild and watch the translator lose her shit? The entire setting doesn't lend itself to going crazy and making jokes that have to be translated and stuff. Also sitting on a couch with fixed mics, move a bit and people don't hear you anymore. It's just not the place to do that.
I really love the way Hwasa talks. Like her words really show how thoughtful and matured she is. For e.g: when she said that "since in Korea there is this trainee system so they didn't really get to think of other options for career and just focus on being artists" and Zach said that "of course you're kinda gave up things in order to become artists" and then Hwasa reconstructed his words and said that "not only artists, every careers and every person need to give up something in order to achieve their goals." Such a beautiful, matured and intelligent young lady.
As an interpreter/translator myself this lowkey gave me anxiety like 50+ mins of interpreting is literally so freaking exhausting!! Respect for the interpreter you did great! 👏🏼
@@detergenthwachae that, unfortunately, is how it often goes with translating, esp something this long... you typically have to get the main point across and not the fine details or else things will get bogged down. especially with how fast both sides were talking in this interview. yes, it would have been nice for her to say more to the girls and translate more of what they said, but that's tough to do in a live show with a time limit. while not perfect, the translator did a good job. and was quite likely beating herself up afterwards for not having done better and that's also why lilysubs is subtitling what our girls said
That's what me and my sisters thought. We were like "Solar! Speak slowly or in little phrases!" And "speak one at a time!" My sisters and know the pain since we translate for our parents and it's so difficult. So, just seeing it gave us anxiety
I don't want to be a hater but you're talking about the guy who asked Blackpink, a group known for not writing their own songs, what's their process for making a song, lol. 3/4 of the group grew up outside of Korea, they didn't want to answer because they know outside of Korea it looks bad when you say you don't create your own stuff. It was an extremely poor choice of question.
Charred zach is one of the best and most respectful interviewers. how would he know that blackpink doesnt participate in song writing. And blackpink didnt seem to feel uncomfortable with his question. Stop creating drama always lol He even asked jiiso about her playing instrument
Zach: What's your biggest accomplishment? Other groups: TH-cam views, Billboard, music awards, fan votes, trending hashtags etc. MAMAMOO: The fact that we came together and become MAMAMOO. That some genuine and passionate artists attitude right there! Like they're so proud to become MAMAMOO because they got to sing, perform, creating music and performance which they love so much. They didn't care about awards and fame. I STAN THE RIGHT GROUP.
They’ve released a statement, it was an anxiety attack so they’ve had her take time off for her wellbeing - which is good that they’re caring about her mental health
anisa nurraudah yeah, hopefully she’s able to rest and recover as someone with anxiety myself I get it. A recharge and a break I’m sure will help in some way - at least RBW are looking after her, check out the announcement- they insisted she rest so that’s a positive
the contrast between blackpink and mamamoo with the level of control they have over their music :(( im so happy my girls have such a huge say but FREE BLACKPINK
Totally agree! One thing that kept ringing true in this interview was how three Blackpink members are fluent in English, which makes it so much easier to articulate ideas and have a dynamic conversation. And yet, despite requiring a translator, it was Mamamoo who had real substance in their interview! I don't fault the Blackpink girls - they're talented and interesting too. Like you said, it comes down to the free hand Mamamoo has in creating their content, whereas it's quite restricted for Blackpink. So even when they were given the opportunity to speak freely, they had little to say. On the upside, this interview reinforced all the reasons I love Mamamoo. To see them being asked genuinely good questions that aren't some rehashed "what's your favourite American food?" "who's your celeb crush?" crap, and to see them mull it over and respond insightfully, made me so happy. I didn't even feel the hour pass.
theblueranger ummmmm the girls of black pink literally told their stories of how they got to yg. LISA LEFT HER COUNTRY WITHOUT SPEAKING KOREAN!! Why are so many ppl comparing them to black pink they are not similar. Black pink also gets so mistreated smh I’m ashamed as a multistan
@@7up139 Of course they talked about their past - it's the one thing their label can't control. But did you notice how Jennie and Rose were floundering for a response when Zach asked them about the songwriting process? That's because YG treats them like performative puppets rather than women with ideas and opinions of their own. My comment wasn't putting down one group to praise another - it was addressing the "mistreatment" you mentioned. I literally said "I don't blame the Blackpink girls for this. They're also talented and interesting." The comparison was to show how RBW is allowing Mamamoo creative freedom in the making of their music, while YG Entertainment does not afford Blackpink the same privilege. As a multi-stan, you should be ashamed of that, instead of a comment simply pointing it out. Please stop thinking the world is out to bash your faves. Have a nice day.
theblueranger you really have no idea how much hate they receive, don’t you. There’s no point in explaining. You clearly don’t want to hear any of my points anyway. Have a GREAT day!
Solar: "If we have fans overseas, we probably will consider world tour" Yes SOLAR! YOU DO HAVE FANS OVERSEA! BUT PLEASE REST BEFORE DO THE WORLD TOUR. Edit: OMG 3k likes? This is new
I love how they answer that they need to prepare a lot for a world tour. I mean, for sure they will add more performances to cater to international fans. These girls.... they know top notch fan service y'all
Such a flex when they simply replied "Yes" at 41:27 when they were asked if they wrote their own parts (story) and then put it all together in their song Yes I Am. These are artists who are actually in control of their music and fully able to incorporate their individuality in the stories they want to tell. 👏
I really appreciate the interpreter of this interview for bridging the conversation on the spot, thank you so much! And I would appreciate it even more if someone would put eng sub of what the girls is actually saying 😆 because "interpreting" only give the gist of what the girls said and not every message were succesfully transferred :") the girls have sooo many things to say, and I want everyone to understand how involved they are on every creative process of their song. Still, thank you for the interview and all the good questions, Zach!!! Edit: Just a thought, but can you open the community subtitles tab on this video so bilingual-Moomoos can add the subtitles themselves? Please consider this, thank you~
I know, I'd love to have subtitles too to let everyone understand what our girls are saying, HOWEVER I really appreciate the work of the translator. To translate, you have to think in two language simultaneously, and be able to keep track of the conversation. even if most people don't realize it, that's extremely difficult.
@@itgirlism2 -- i know~ trust me they're definitely interested. esp our yong. and maybe they're still shy about it hehe plus our girls are very expressive when they speak so it would be nice if people could also understand they're raw feelings and not just the shortened/simplified words by translators.
mamamoo 4 composers, 4 lyricists, 4 vocalists, 4 rappers, 4 performers. they started from zero and look at them now. no privilege. they literally crawling to be where they are right now im so proud of my girls💗
They came from an unknown company and had mo supporting fans from a senior group (cause they were RBW's first girl group) but look at them. Topping domestic and int'l charts, topping the brand ranks, receiving lots of Cf deals, guestings, festival gigs, entertainment gigs, awards and all. So I'am fucking proud of these girls💖 from nothing to SOMEONE who influences korean beauty standards
I love their calmness and professionalism in this whole interview. We can see they’re really here to talk more in-depth about their music and perspectives in the industry. They treat this like an actual interview instead of just an ‘entertaining US show for promotion’
it's also thanks to the nature of the questions on this program, truly well-thought and very focussed on the creative aspects rather than lame questions by mainstream hosts about their favourite food in america and so on.
Ngl, I missed the goofy side of Mamamoo while watching this, but some things just needed to be taken seriously, not to mention the language barrier making concentrate more than usual. Their answers are very insightful, and I like how the topic naver went to anything unnessesary.
Mamamoo has really begun to shine in the kpop world and I absolutely love how they aren’t afraid to go out of their comfort zone to show that special shine they have!!! Obviously they have always been AMAZING QUEENS in my eyes but I’m sooooo happy that other people around the world are starting to see that too :)
It’s 2023 outside, but I am still coming back to this interview. I love how MAMAMOO girls can easily answer all questions, explain about their artistic processes, be honest. Wonderful group with wonderful music!
If MAMAMOO perform at billboard, they will all have gosebumps. I really love many groups but I have special respect for MAMAMOO. Seriously, if they have a collab with a western, it will be a bop. When I first watched their MV, I wasn't too much impressed; I would say that I didn't even like it but then I watched their live and I was in love (if only they had the live version on spootify). I love and support many groups but BTS and MAMAMOO are my besties. Edit: I hope that Wheein will be well soon
this is gonna sound weird but with all the “baby voices” i hear girls speak in the kpop sphere, i’m really relieved to hear mature voices, especially moonbyul’s.
Nah it's not weird. That's why I'm having a hard time with kpop girl groups. Mamamoo are the one who stood out to me. Their voices are deeper, speaking and singing voice, so they don't sound like little girls and I really like that
It's not that those other girls naturally have 'baby voices', some of their voices are actually so different when they're not trying to be cute, but with younger girl groups with brighter, cuter concepts, they need to appear cheerful/cute all the time. That's why they make their voices higher and it can get really annoying but that's what they gotta do ;(
Names are for The weak everyone is mentioning black pink in this comment section. I truly understand that you guys aren’t trying to hate, but there is no reason to compare. Black pink is terribly mistreated and they really don’t deserve this
I would love to ask Moonbyul about her evolution as a singer, cos she used to just do a short rap solo every song and nothing more. Now she sings a lot more, with confidence, in her own voice both by herself and with the group! 🥰I love her so much 🥺
I'm sure it just came with more practice and teachings I mean she was originally meant to be a vocal it really just comes down to the company and who produces the song and also as they became more famous and earned more money the company began to loosen up a bit and let the girls write more and have more of a say in their music
@@eleanornicholls8991 Yeah the group needed a rapper so she got that part instead. she was sad about that for a while but lately she's breaking away from the "Just a rapper" label 😊
imo, the translation about Hwasa’s inspiration for 'Be Calm' was kinda lacking.. (definitely not a knock on the translator because it’s incredibly difficult to remember and translate so much material so quickly) Hwasa said before spring approached, she experienced separation from someone she really loved..so it made spring feel really flat, when it was a season that only appeared beautiful+bright before. (fans know that she is referring to her uncle who was like a father to her passing away due to a car accident at the end of 2017)
Yeah, I was listening and Hwasa said she lost someone before spring (a.k.a the uncle she was super close to), and that made her feel numb despite it being spring. Wish the translator had caught that, but I still appreciate her efforts. :)
The girl doesn't seem like a real interpreter, they should have hired someone who actually trained to do it. Being able to speak a language doesn't automatically make you able to translate/interpret it.
They’re the Little Mix of kpop. Slaying left and right. Very talented people. But way too underrated. Edit: btw I never meant to say they’re the kpop version of Little Mix. or maybe, should I have said mamamoo are the Little Mix of kpop/korea and vice versa, Little Mix are the mamamoo of the UK(/the west?). While, yes, both groups are vocal queens, their sound is different. They’re their own… entity? However you’d call that. Their own people. Their own group. But they are very similar in other ways, like being way too underrated outside of their home country, despite of being very talented. Both groups deserve more recognition! I hope you get what I meant… also english is not my native language, so maybe that’s why I wasn’t able to express myself clearly.
omg i totally see that - i see a similarity in jesy and hyejinnie. neither of them are the type to be swayed into thinking that their bodies aren’t beautiful because of bullying, they know they’re gorgeous no matter what anyone else says.
Why is Zach such a great host and interviewer? Like he really knows how to dig deep into the mind of people and asks meaningful questions. I’ve learned more about mamamoo just from this interview more than any variety show they appear in and get to talk about themselves. He doesn’t let language barrier get in the way. He’s good at elaborating and adding in more parts to a question to get the bigger picture of what they mean
For sure. Zach's shows always feel like talking to a friend cuz he gives so much attention to each and every of the artist and want to get to know them personally. He's a really talented interviewer.
@@xz3801 I thought it was funny because it was the most randomest thing ever, he goes from interviewing mamamoo to saying I sweat alot and *insert brand here* has helped me, buy now 😄
i didn't know anything about mamamoo but this interview is really interesting and it really shows their personality and talent. they give a very positive vibe and seem very connected as a group
To be fair, mamamoo members are very shy towards people they are not familiar with. To know their true personalities, you should watch some mmmtv on TH-cam. They are very hyperactive goof balls.
I feel completely incomplete when there's someone's missing. Get well Wheeinie I love you. Mamamoo is not Mamamoo without Kim Yongsun or Moon ByulYi or Jung Wheein or Ahn Hyejin. OT4 Hwaiting!
As a non-fan i learnt a lot of about mamamoo and their approach to music today. Really respect them. I had no idea that they wrote their own stuff and produced and composed and just, I knew they had pipes but mannnn they can write their own music too?? Wow brilliant interview from both Zach Sang for the fantastic detailed questions and for Mamamoo for being confident and owning themselves and their music
Kanza Salahuddin AFAIK Moonbyul wrote all her rap herself; by now she is credited as co-lyricist on over 50 tracks. Others might not be as prolific but all of them are creative amazeballs. Look at the Writer column here: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_songs_recorded_by_Mamamoo
I really like Zach's interviews, he really tries to get the best of the artists, tries to get into the insights of things, and put in the center the value of the people he interviews. Mamamoo, as always, talented, honest, fun to watch. I feel the ambiance was really good and they were quite confortable talking and joking together. And big plus to the translator, some questions/answers were really complexe and she could easily translate.
I actually love the translator. Because even with a group with an english speaker, sometimes they have trouble finding their words in english and articulate their thoughts (my main exemple is RM. love love love the dude, but you can tell when he's tired he has trouble answering the questions AND translating for his members). So the fact that the translator's here doing her job make mamamoo really think about their answers. Also, I found her damn fast, and as someone who doesn't understand a lick of korean, really good. Really enjoyed the video. EDIT : guys....guys...pls don't feed that hater. It's ridiculous to try and have a reasonable conversation with them. They chose to hate, and will hate all their life.
She was good for the most part but I felt a little let down by how she would only translate about 50% of each person's response. It really could have added a lot more to the conversation rather than coming off as superficial. The fans who don't speak Korean would have also loved to hear mamamoo's full thoughts.
Louise fuck the translator. This isn’t Siri. It’s a damn English interview. Speak it or walk. Fucking hour long snooze fest. Stop the Kpoop bullshit. If you can’t speak English stay home. Period
A bit unfortunate that there was a misunderstanding with the inspirational post that Hwasa "posted". Its no wonder she got confused because it was phrased in a way that implied she posted something, when what he was referring to was the fancam of her solo stage at their concert where she talked about her life.
True,, and i guess what zach saw or read on twitter, was only the phrase of what hwasa said in her solo performance. Maybe he didn't know that it was from hwasa's performance.
even if they're not talking in english, still this is one of the MOST educative interviews on the zach sang show. I mean *BOW DOWN TO THE QUEENS* including wheein
He’s probably one of the few American interviewers that I honestly love cause his questions are so insightful and about the music and not about that superficial things of gotcha questions most of these other interviewers ask
I really respect Zach as an interviewer, but I wonder if this was a last-minute booking by Mamamoo. He didn't seem to have done as much research as he normally would've, and he looked bored/awkward compared to when he was interviewing other artists. But then again, I'm sure the language barrier didn't help.
@@danieladrakecoveich8175 lol maybe it's just me then. I just watch a lot of his interviews, and this one kinda fell flat for me because his questions didn't bring out much personalities from the girls, but I guess I should chock that up to the language barrier. Ah well. :)
24:16 it was kind of disappointing that the translator wasn’t able to translate all Hwasa has said. “Even when I’m having a hard time, flowers bloom once agahn and the world becomes bright” It really struck me hard
I really like Mamamoo. This interview was so informative. Thank you! oh I should say, I like how real Mamamoo is. Like they are idols but you can tell they are a different kind of idol. They have tattoos, they can have a fun stage but they can have a mature sexy stage, etc. I just love that this is what they represent, which is very much what modern day women are.
@@kenzdomyuji8387 It's not about feeling attacked, Mamamoo takes risks with every project, and to say that others could do the same thing if they weren't from Big3 is insulting towards all the hard work they've done.
@@alexfriendarts4165 no it's not. It's a fact that you see as an insult, the bigger the company the more money the more expectations grow and the more money is important, meaning those groups are restrained in many aspects, that's what comes with the big 3.
THIS IS WHY I STAN MAMAMMOO!! They are MATURE!! They can be really goofy but never, NEVER left professionalism, even with the racist thing they did before they apologized and never did it with that intention, they are women, they are versatile, vocals on point, everything about them means artist, i don’t see mamammoo as a kpop group anymore, they are not idols, i found them to be really artist. Keep going mamammoo, you deserve the recognition and more ♥️
I can see Hwasa was the most nervous one during the interview just by looking at her body language but still she spoke eloquently & same as the other members. I still don't get why the translator didn't include Hwasa sharing about loosing someone who was dear to her & how it effect her take & view about her part as spring in the album.
I was thinking the same thing why the translator didn’t mention Hwasa loosing someone close to her. But the translator asked her if that was her personal story so I thought maybe the translator didn’t want to expose that as Hwasa said it was her personal story.
This interview is great and so calm, it fits the girls mood. In other hand I really enjoyed the questions, we get Mamamoo schedule it was kinda rushed but besides that it turned out so good. I'll wait with all my hopes up for a 2nd part if they comeback to the US so we can see Wheein speak their mind also :'') Btw, World Tour omgg!!!!! And yes most of Mamamoo's song and Hwasa's concert speech are based on self love even if she doesn't remember the video omg hahah
I think its not really her fault that she got confused at the mention of the video, they made it sound like it was something she uploaded herself, and not a fancam.
I thought the same thing. I found it sweet of her, how she paused after saying a sentence or two for the translator to remember and not have to remember a lot to translate back.
Spot on! I'm not hating, but Blackpink is overhyped and a lot of Blinks are toxic ☹️ www.quora.com/Are-Blackpink-overrated-Are-they-on-the-same-level-as-BTS-TWICE-and-EXO-or-did-they-get-more-fame-than-they-deserve/answer/Chaotic-Chaos-4?ch=3&share=8cdacf14&srid=u749NT EDIT: For all the triggered Blinks wondering why i commented this, 1) Almost every comment on this video is talking about how non-substantial Blackpink's interview was, which brought them to my mind. 2) I was shocked and actually low-key disgusted by some of the Blinks calling BP unmatchable and extraordinarily talented. Some go as far calling them better than all other K-pop groups, claiming that they have supreme quality content, which is so not true. STOP LABELING ME AS AN ANTI AND A HATER. I'M NOT.

@@riri306 I wrote what I wrote because when I was first introduced to K-pop, everyone around me and everyone on the internet just talked about how amazing Blackpink is and they were the first K-pop group that I listened to. I actually love their songs but I don't think they are 'unmatchable' or as outstanding as their reputation. They are great artists and I'm sure their music will evolve too, as time passes. I know that Mamamoo has more experience than Blackpink and that it is unfair to compare the two groups. In fact, I'm not comparing. I'm just saying that in my personal opinion, Mamamoo is better. I personally think that Blackpink still has a long way to go to reach that point when they are truly worthy of being described as unmatchable. And, I know full well that it's not BP's fault that they overshadow other K-pop groups. Hence, I blame the 'toxic' blinks who give BP undue importance and exaggerate their worth. I see praise for BP in so many comment sections but never have I ever seen praise for underrated groups like Mamamoo or Day6 on videos except for their own. I think blinks need to stop exaggerating and let other artists shine too, rather than pulling them down.
Nandini Raizada you wasted your time writing all that lol. you didn’t have to bring blackpink into this because it’s irrelevant to mamamoo. I hate kpop stans who always compare groups. all groups are equal, you don’t know anything.
If they work harder they will get it. Just a matter of time. And let people decide. If they can get more attention for the peoples(attention from their music). They will get it.
Hey Zach! You should really consider opening up community subs! Even Mamamooo now has that option so international fans can translate their videos so everyone can enjoy them. You would probably get more views too so people don't have to reuplaod your video and watch it somewhere else with subtitles. Once the subtitles are done, you can turn them off!! Please consider this! Anyways, thank you for the sweet interview and I hope the girls loved their flowers and chocolates!
I'm really glad Zach branches out as far as he does with his interviews, like I'm really glad they got a positive respectful interview from someone that was serious about their music. I feel like that's less common with the shows that they're used to.
These girls deserve to be the BTS girls of America. I said what I said. My boys came from nothing but they kept in mind their dream: being one of the most successful boys group of all time. Look at them now: THEY ARE. I’m rooting for my girls, KEEP FIGHTING MOOMOO ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
I was so curious why Hwasa & Solar made eye contact @ 32:32 but then @ 41:08 you can hear Solar's stomach grumble lol that's why Hwasa was trying not to laugh. I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure Hwasa even said "Stop. Please" to Solar @ 43:50 in korean. LMAO
Anna Pagano i know, im usually struggling to keep up with subs and dont get to appreciate the sounds of their voices and the thought they put into responses bc im seeing it immediately below them
and also actually seeing the way they interact with each other! i'm usually so caught up trying to read the subtitles that i'm not necessarily paying attention to them and so this gave me the opportunity to do so and it was quite refreshing.
It actually makes me nervous to have to wait. Maybe it's because I learned to keep up with subtitles when I was like 10 when I started watching anime and some k dramas, but it really freaks me out I also think that the subtitles are actually more accurate, since I want to get as many details as the language barrier allows me I think I prefer them more, but I understand why people may prefer the oral translation
ugh i really love zach for his hard work, people would say that "it's his job to do great at interviewing" but that's the point! he's one of A FEW and in my opinion the best interviewer out there that actually cares about the artists who take the time to go and be at radio's, for that i really appreciate zach and his team bc they know how to interview and make the artist feel happy, comfortable and loved. Also Mamamoo deserves this kind of appreciation, im glad that they had a great time in usa and had the time to do this int, hopefully we'll get to see them back in the show again next year! i love listening to what they think and it's such a shame that wheein wasn't present atm but oh well, it was an amazing interview nevertheless. Thank you zach
I’ve been watching Zach sang since I was a fan of 5H and I always loved his interviews. now that I’ve transitioned to liking kpop I’m so glad Zach is now interviewing kpop artists-Zach sang show has the best interviews
Nice job on the interview, as a 55 year old Texan, some of the things you said really rang true, I came across Mamamoo probably 6/7 months ago, the diversity of the music sucked me into this KPOP scene. The vocals these ladies put out are amazing, no one could have told me 30 years ago I would truly enjoy a KPOP that I can't understand but I feel the music so much.
it kind of breaks my heart to hear them say "if we have international fans", how much is RBW not telling them? because we've had #'s trending worldwide, streamed videos, and voted for them during award seasons.
cio AFAIK the relationship between RBW and MMM is one of the best label-artist relationships in Korea; I doubt there is an RBW conspiracy against MMM. Also they know they have international fans, especially Solar should definitely know there’s non-Korean Dragon Kings. I think it’s a mix of humility and incredulity (mixed with the fact that they don’t step out of Korea all that often, and their lack of comfort with English), not ignorance.
All i wish is to see mamamoo in a world tour, even if its not live i just want them to get recognition world wide because trey deserve it and they worked hard for it.

Can you explain to me the lightstick thing?
oStarshipo oSubso it's probably because one time in their fansign or fan meet one fan approached mamamoo(specifically wheein) and the fan was mute so they were enlightened that they have fans with disabilities. Thus, they decided to add the vibration in the light stick so that the fans can 'listen' to their music in a way as well. ❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊😊 sorry if it was long. I just wanted to share how it came to that.

But she didnt translate all compliments he told them :((
@@detergenthwachae that, unfortunately, is how it often goes with translating, esp something this long... you typically have to get the main point across and not the fine details or else things will get bogged down. especially with how fast both sides were talking in this interview. yes, it would have been nice for her to say more to the girls and translate more of what they said, but that's tough to do in a live show with a time limit. while not perfect, the translator did a good job. and was quite likely beating herself up afterwards for not having done better

LOVE OUR QUEENS
the contrast between blackpink and mamamoo with the level of control they have over their music :(( im so happy my girls have such a huge say but FREE BLACKPINK
They're also talented and interesting."
The comparison was to show how RBW is allowing Mamamoo creative freedom in the making of their music, while YG Entertainment does not afford Blackpink the same privilege. As a multi-stan, you should be ashamed of that, instead of a comment simply pointing it out. Please stop thinking the world is out to bash your faves.
Have a nice day.

I know, I'd love to have subtitles too to let everyone understand what our girls are saying, HOWEVER I really appreciate the work of the translator.

Hwasa said before spring approached, she experienced separation from someone she really loved..so it made spring feel really flat, when it was a season that only appeared beautiful+bright before.
24:16 it was kind of disappointing that the translator wasn’t able to translate all Hwasa has said. “Even when I’m having a hard time, flowers bloom once agahn and the world becomes bright” It really struck me hard
yea thank god moomoos added sbtitles cause the translator missed a lot
@@CarissaWeird moomoo's are the best!
Was thinking the same thing!! Hwasa’s view on spring was so deep and she didn’t translate that at all.
I think it was because Zach cut her off. I feel like she could've expounded on it more
I really like Mamamoo.
Choco Robba totally agreed
@@alexfriendarts4165 Why do you feel so attacked nobody came for those groups wth
Gidle SOOJIN has tattoos as well
THIS IS WHY I STAN MAMAMMOO!! Keep going mamammoo, you deserve the recognition and more ♥️
They look so comfortable. Thank you Zach for having them!
But the translator asked her if that was her personal story so I thought maybe the translator didn’t want to expose that as Hwasa said it was her personal story.
omg i clicked so fast when i saw this. they DESERVE recognition, truly one of the most talented female groups out there right now.
PERIODDDDDD
This interview is great and so calm, it fits the girls mood. In other hand I really enjoyed the questions, we get Mamamoo schedule it was kinda rushed but besides that it turned out so good. I'll wait with all my hopes up for a 2nd part if they comeback to the US so we can see Wheein speak their mind also :'')
Btw, World Tour omgg!!!!! And yes most of Mamamoo's song and Hwasa's concert speech are based on self love even if she doesn't remember the video omg hahah
I think its not really her fault that she got confused at the mention of the video, they made it sound like it was something she uploaded herself, and not a fancam.
@@exessen1684 Ahh that's why she was confused :((( bad wording it could've been a great chance for her to speak about it.
I now only realized that hwasa is well-spoken as well. She is able to express her thoughts easily ❤️
Hwasa is very considerate. She always gave her answers in parts to help the translator and Zach to understand
I thought the same thing. I found it sweet of her, how she paused after saying a sentence or two for the translator to remember and not have to remember a lot to translate back.
Honestly, mamamoo is the most talented kpop girl group right now.
There i said it.
Spot on! I'm not hating, but Blackpink is overhyped and a lot of Blinks are toxic ☹️
www.quora.com/Are-Blackpink-overrated-Are-they-on-the-same-level-as-BTS-TWICE-and-EXO-or-did-they-get-more-fame-than-they-deserve/answer/Chaotic-Chaos-4?ch=3&share=8cdacf14&srid=u749NT
EDIT: For all the triggered Blinks wondering why i commented this,
1) Almost every comment on this video is talking about how non-substantial Blackpink's interview was, which brought them to my mind.
I'M NOT.
@@nandiniraizada6400 stop it
Why bring BLACKPINK and Blink here and plz straight up come to your so called opinion cause it just shows how fake you are. If you are calling blackpink overrated then that's hate
Let me say you again BLACKPINK DESERVES WHAT THEY ARE NOW And they have nothing to do with MAMAMOO they both are amazing idols
And instead of calling others toxic, see how TOXIC you are 🙄
@@riri306 I wrote what I wrote because when I was first introduced to K-pop, everyone around me and everyone on the internet just talked about how amazing Blackpink is and they were the first K-pop group that I listened to.
@@riri306 And I wasn't hating, just stating my opinion, which I'm entitled to have.
Nandini Raizada you wasted your time writing all that lol. you didn’t have to bring blackpink into this because it’s irrelevant to mamamoo. I hate kpop stans who always compare groups. all groups are equal, you don’t know anything.
Who wants Mamamoo to be a world star band like they deserve it💜💜
That time will come.
it will come and haters gonna shut up.
If they work harder they will get it. Just a matter of time. And let people decide. If they can get more attention for the peoples(attention from their music). They will get it.
Collaboration to international artist can make their career boost 😇 I hope that international artist will offer them
@@simpleyui1965 ohh Id love to see that one day. Especially now that their popularity is skyrocketing in korea.
Exactly I'm willing to do Spanish subs so more fans can enjoy their first American interview where they touched amazing subjects.
great idea!
we need to make sure he knows about this!!
this should be top comment!
Up up up 👍👍👍
The fact their CEO is also their producer and I often see him getting so much involve in their practice.. This is how agencies should be
Thank you to the translator! You bridged this language barrier. Without your help this interview won't be possible 💙
I'm really glad Zach branches out as far as he does with his interviews, like I'm really glad they got a positive respectful interview from someone that was serious about their music. I feel like that's less common with the shows that they're used to.
The way my lung almost yeeted out of my body because I didn’t think this day would come where Mamamoo get interviewed by Zach 💀
Agree👍 And they are also great friends with each other.
Agree i wish big hit buy they're agency
They!re not the BTS girls. They’re MAMAMOO and they’re QUEENS

LMAO
Hahaha yea I noticed too I was looking for this comment haha finally
Haha yeah poor Yong 😂
Haha ikr 😂
Omg LOL 😂
Omg I had to press on the timestamp for solar's stomach growling like 10x but I still couldnt hear it, you must have ears of a dog or something 😶
It’s really calming to listen to them speak in Korean and not understanding right away because of subtitles and having to wait for the translation
Anna Pagano i know, im usually struggling to keep up with subs and dont get to appreciate the sounds of their voices and the thought they put into responses bc im seeing it immediately below them
English subs are up! ;)
and also actually seeing the way they interact with each other! i'm usually so caught up trying to read the subtitles that i'm not necessarily paying attention to them and so this gave me the opportunity to do so and it was quite refreshing.
It actually makes me nervous to have to wait. Maybe it's because I learned to keep up with subtitles when I was like 10 when I started watching anime and some k dramas, but it really freaks me out
I also think that the subtitles are actually more accurate, since I want to get as many details as the language barrier allows me I think I prefer them more, but I understand why people may prefer the oral translation
You were so spot on when you said "lessons you want your mom to teach you" I literally just kept saying YES YES YES YES. We need more hosts like you.
Seriously thank you for those who aren’t moomoos but have patiently finished this whole 1hr interview:’)
ugh i really love zach for his hard work, people would say that "it's his job to do great at interviewing" but that's the point! he's one of A FEW and in my opinion the best interviewer out there that actually cares about the artists who take the time to go and be at radio's, for that i really appreciate zach and his team bc they know how to interview and make the artist feel happy, comfortable and loved.
Nana I yoonkookmin's manager He gets paid by Ad agencies dumbass. He’s a pawn.
I’ve been watching Zach sang since I was a fan of 5H and I always loved his interviews. now that I’ve transitioned to liking kpop I’m so glad Zach is now interviewing kpop artists-Zach sang show has the best interviews
Good to hear I was not the only harmonizer :3
Yeah, i love his interviews, also the interview with camila
Hwasa is so intelligent. I wish she felt more confident in interviews & was given more opportunities to speak like she does here. It’s so refreshing
❤️❤️❤️
❤️😭
34 year old new Moomoo here and I agree 100%
I'm 30 years old Moomoos and a single mom, how cool is that?
(I mean Mamamoo of course, not me 😂)
that’s so lovely to read 💕
Alsoe when they were asked whats mamamoo different from the other kpop group... hwasa was right... if you watch them youll see BIG BIG difference...
it kind of breaks my heart to hear them say "if we have international fans", how much is RBW not telling them? because we've had #'s trending worldwide, streamed videos, and voted for them during award seasons.
cio AFAIK the relationship between RBW and MMM is one of the best label-artist relationships in Korea; I doubt there is an RBW conspiracy against MMM. Also they know they have international fans, especially Solar should definitely know there’s non-Korean Dragon Kings. I think it’s a mix of humility and incredulity (mixed with the fact that they don’t step out of Korea all that often, and their lack of comfort with English), not ignorance.
Theres barely anyone who speaks english in RBW 😭 THEY HAVE TO HIRE PEOPLE
All i wish is to see mamamoo in a world tour, even if its not live i just want them to get recognition world wide because trey deserve it and they worked hard for it.
Hwasa is in a league of her own in terms of artistry, authenticity, style, talent, sophistication, beauty. No one surpasses her from Asia, from Europe, from North America. She's a work of art.
So many interviewers can learn a lot from Zach. They should take notes. Interviewers like him are really needed.
