I love when you add a bit more story around the climbs. I know that sounds daft but it really feels like you are along for the journey. Especially with scenery like that! Don't get me wrong, the descending is what I really tune in for, but the balance of this edit was awesome for me. A brilliant watch with a nice cuppa. Cheers Andrew 👍
Enjoy your vids very much.. I'm an Aussie and have been to Scotland twice, 2012, 2013 and truly miss Ben Nevis/Fort Bill and the many many other beautiful locations for riding and sightseeing... can't wait to get back there again one day soon.
Cheers Andy. I’m way better than I was just a few years ago, but I’m still no where near as good as many others out there. It’s all about improving on yourself👍
Enjoyed watching that whilst having breakfast, thank you. Great quality on the footage and so steady considering the trails. That forest trail at the end looked really tough, thick mud, drops and wet roots, you did well not to stack it. 🤙
Another stunner......Really liked this video.....First sections suitably rocky, and then the forest....oh yeah, that looked steeper than the camera showed, and I could feel the intensity and hear it in your voice. Keep them coming, and a big up to Piers. Riding wi a busted heid, never a guid thing.
What a Throwback! Went up there around 3 years ago on a normal bike and boy was it hard! Didn’t even make it to the top!! Definitely one to add to the bucket list for sure! Great video as always Andrew 👌🏻
Wouldn’t be quite as hard if it wasn’t for that first climb in the woods, which is very tough on the regular bike. You’ll need to get back and conquer it Archie👍
🤯. Wow awesome video and the. Colours were just amazing. This autumn is just fantastic. The ride looks amazing and well done in the woods. Those trails are brutal and you rode them well so don’t beat yourself up about it 👍.
I've walked up that path many times for a summer adventure on the rock. It's such an amazing feeling when you get past Castle Ridge and into the NF proper. I need to take my ebike!
Great to see that. We had planned to ride the trail up to the CIC hut in 2020. We had two weeks booked in the highlands in June and tickets for the Fort William World Cup downhill. Covid put an end to that! I don't think we would have ridden as much of the upper section as you did but we were going to make a day of it.
Great vid thanks! Watching this with a coffee just before I head out on my eMTB from my home in Crieff to hit some beautiful autumn trails... Cannae beat it!
Stunning mate, best season of the year in Scotland imo. Miss the summer grip already, mind! Thanks for the vids, great to be inspired and informed to try new rides so close to home.
awesome video Andrew, nice place to go and work off a hangover! Back to school looked like back to hospital to me! brutal in the mud, mountains were spectacular as usual, nice riding cheers
@@McTrailRider poor Piers, back to school looked well tough but that previous section down the hill, you got some nice flow :) smashing it with the content and riding skills mate, cheers
Great watching the riding down from the CIC Hut, some amazing scenery well shot by yourself, back to school looked brutal though 😂Well ridden and cheers!
Great vlog Andrew, you always capture the natural beauty of Scotland. You're a bit hard on yourself about riding through the wooded section, the sodden ground didn't help you much. That said, would love to see the same trails on a dry day! Cheers!
16:02 is the other one (not on TF anymore) which used to be called "gnarly day", for a reason :D Back to school is the split to the left at the very top.
Amazing bids mate so look forward to the uploads.! Love watching piers too but being hungover is awful when out the next day! Its poison our bods cant handle it! 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
I stayed in the CIC hut earlier on this year before climbing Tower Ridge. I was trying to judge whether the path was rideable all the way up so I guess you've answered that one for me, now...
Talk about rock garden left after the last ice age, beautiful foliage mountains mate better check your spooks mate, LOL love your green helmet looked everywhere cant find it, were mite i buy one? Hope not china very nice helmet
Yes, you still have earned it on ebikes.👍🏾You pedalled the bike, does not go without pedalling. No need to be apologetic/depreciative if you ride one. It is not North America, people get it😉😀
Nice to see different users of the trails enjoying it without irking each other. Not so nice seeing someone suffer, but you can't help laughing a little when it's self-imposed. Piers looks like he's old enough to know the consequences 🍻🍻 🥴🤢😅
A great day of riding doesn't need an apology for being on an ebike. They allow access and riding a normal bike doesn't, in a day and age where time is tight.
I love your other videos. not so sure I like this one. some routes are purely for those wishing to access the mountains for the love of them. I have riden, walked, scrambled and driven many interesting routes. I've walked that route from the CIC hut, socially, and on mountain rescue recoveries. I dont consider that trail a challenge which needs to be riden.
Hey been watching your videos for year's and live in scotland, but I don't get the ebike hate comments, not every one can train daily on the bike so having the ebike means you can enjoy your rides and down hill more than you would if you can't train all the time. Ohh and am not old and unfit as you seem to say that's all ebikes are for

Cheers Jamie, it’s always difficult to add the climb in and keep the video interesting. Glad it worked for you.

I’m spoilt living in such an amazing place, so many great options for biking 👌
Poor Pierce, really felt for him! Nice track.x
Thankyou Andrew that was an enjoyable View
Thanks for taking the time to watch
Mesmerising to watch as ever. I think I'm a pretty good mountain biker but I'll never be this good. Doff of the cap duly given !
Cheers Andy. I’m way better than I was just a few years ago, but I’m still no where near as good as many others out there. It’s all about improving on yourself👍

Glad you enjoyed it Scott, it was great fun up until the woods 😛

Brilliant Andrew, and a very Pro ride as always. Truly alpine autumnal track. Well done after being under weather!! x
Thanks Elena, the colours are amazing right now 😍

Such an amazing place to spend some time, makes you feel very small.
Interesting to see what’s past that bench! Did Ft Bill a few weeks back and tried some of the off piste around the North face car park, amazing!
The off piste is certainly an acquired taste
Great to see that. We had planned to ride the trail up to the CIC hut in 2020. We had two weeks booked in the highlands in June and tickets for the Fort William World Cup downhill. Hopefully you do manage up another time 👍

Haha, Piers was very rough! Back to school was not enjoyable😬

Cheers Gary, I should have just stuck to the mountain path and not the woods 😬
What a dreamland! Got to make it out there some day!!
Worth a trip 👍

The woods were just a bit of a shock after I felt I had been riding quite well before.
Yeah. When Andrew finds something difficult I know I'd be walking 🤣
Incredible how you just eat up those boulders on the first path!
The bike did most of the work to be fair
16:02 is the other one (not on TF anymore) which used to be called "gnarly day", for a reason :D Back to school is the split to the left at the very top.
I see, gnarly day seems like a more appropriate name in my opinion😜

Yep, the trail goes pretty well for the most part. Now I need to stay in the hut👍
What a place 🔥🤩🤩🤩🤩
Not bad eh
Would be great to know from the start where you are from the start / title
Talk about rock garden left after the last ice age, beautiful foliage mountains mate better check your spooks mate, LOL love your green helmet looked everywhere cant find it, were mite i buy one? Hope not china very nice helmet
Cheers dude. The helmet is a Leat enduro 4, it’s a great helmet in my opinion, the best covetable I’ve used so far.

I do love my ebike 👍
Thanks Andrew. I think its all tough ! Easy ? OK
It’s a frustrating mix of tough and easy tbh. Generally it get tougher the further up you go, with a few exceptions.
@@McTrailRider Yeah your “ usual “ rides are insane enough , steep , rocky etc
Bike wash required after the last wood section 😂
Very much so
What are the common animals found around these mountains you hit?
Deer, sheep and Eagles up in the these mountains. More animals lower down though.
What Jacket is that? Can’t find one that doesn’t make my boil.
It’s a Nukeproof, I forget the proper name. It’s breathable, but it’s also not very water proof, which is kind of important.
@@McTrailRider ahh. Thought so. Nukeproof Blackline looks similar. Big bucks tho!
Nice to see different users of the trails enjoying it without irking each other. Not so nice seeing someone suffer, but you can't help laughing a little when it's self-imposed. Piers looks like he's old enough to know the consequences 🍻🍻 🥴🤢😅
I very rarely have any problems with other trail users, quite the opposite actually, which is great 👍
Thoroughly enjoyed this , looks great fun , perhaps not with a hangover though 🤢
Being hungover definitely takes the edge of the enjoyment, thankfully I’m not much of a drinker, so very rarely experience it.
A great day of riding doesn't need an apology for being on an ebike. They allow access and riding a normal bike doesn't, in a day and age where time is tight.

Each to their own. There’s better trail out there, but this one gives you the big mountain feel for relatively low effort.

I think your getting me confused with someone else. I agree with you, and I certainly don’t think they are only for old or unfit people.
Heading up that way soon! Do you have an email address i can contact you on? Got a few Qs 😎
