Triple Pinch Pleating / French pleats on curtains add a very neat and elegant look.
In this video, I used the triple pinch pleat hooks on the Hilja Sheer Curtains from Ikea that gave my $20 sheers an expensive look and definitely changed the way my living room looks.
There is a hack that i use when I am using the hooks into the curtains. This hack is a life saviour when you are trying to put the prongs into the tiny pockets of the hook belt on the curtains.

You are absolutely correct, when we do pleats (3) we need more curtains than when we do pleats (1) as Ikea describes. So ,if you are doing the triple pinch pleats (3) pleats you have to buy more curtains/sheers.
