  • This video gives you an impression of how good VR is working with not so good hardware specs. The flight was made on a notebook with an i7-8750H CPU and a 1060GTX Mobile GPU.
My personal conclusion is, that VR in this sim was a mind blowing experience. For the first time I can fly the Schupfart traffic pattern on a PC like in reality.
Siming on a 2D screen is like visiting places in Google Street view: you were not there!
Siming in VR is totally different: it feels, like you have been there!
Even on my little notebook, the first couple of my VR flights engraved impressions and pictures in my mind, that I will remember forever...

Danke!

Perhaps when you switch off motion reprojection (use OpenXR) the performance will even increase a bit. And you're right flying in VR is unbeatable!

That is some serious lag no wonder why they said 1080 was the bare minimum

What is lagging? How can you know? I only know, that the camera followed the movements of my head without lag. I am aware, that the specs are worse than suggested, but the experience still was and is mind blowing. For the first time since I am PC-simming, unforgetable impressions and pictures are engraved in my mind, just as if I had done a real flight...
