    mine is arriving tomorrow, thanks for helping me plan my build!

      No problem! I really love this board! Put a little piece of tape or foam or something over that hole where the extra bright led shines through. That fixes that problem. I ended up blocking that and the green/red charging led with two tiny pieces of sticky foam and I love the board even more now!

    A well indepth review of gmk67. I was interested in buying this bord and this helped making a decision. Keep up the grind👊

      Thank You 🙏 with a couple small pieces of sticky foam I was able to fix the LED problem and I really love this little keyboard it has such a nice typing feel with the mods I did to the gasket foams. Thanks for watching and commenting! It’s appreciated!

      @@TapeMod I bought this keyboard with gateron milky yellows and I’m trying to replicate that thocky creamy sound similar in the video. Do you think swapping the stock stabs with Durock stabs will make a much of a difference? I plan on doing all the mods like lubing, dielectric grease, holee-mod, bandaid etc.

    • @TapeMod
      @TapeMod  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lin6667 Don’t bother with the durocks. They honestly don’t make that much of a difference if any. At least when it comes to clip-in stabs. Do the mods! That will be enough. I’d also do tape mod, but keep it to one layer so you don’t lose the flex. And lube your milky yellows.

    thanks for the helpful video! would you recommend using everglide aqua king switches on the gmk67?

    • @TapeMod
      @TapeMod  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I personally have never tried those switches so I couldn't honestly say one way or another. Watch some reviews and if you like them I'd say go for it. The board is 5 pin so really any mechanical switch should work just fine with it.

      @_Neolidas ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TapeMod i've seen various positive reviews about them, and they are certainly excellent in my opinion. i'll most likely go for these ones unless they turn out to not complement the gmk67 (not sure how to phrase this)

    • @TapeMod
      @TapeMod  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@_Neolidas I took a quick look at them and they should be 100% compatible with the GMK67. They will work fine.

    I know this is an old video, but try plastilina clay at the bottom of the case (doesnt dry) - affects sound but also adds weight more than silicone

    • @TapeMod
      @TapeMod  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Did you try this yourself with this board? I’m curious because it’s quite shallow. Thanks for the suggestion for sure. I actually have relegated this board to use with my laptop. So in the long run the light weight ended up being a bonus. It’s still a great little board!

  • @TapeMod
    @TapeMod  ปีที่แล้ว

    It’s a very small knob, but it’s a knob no less!

    hello I'm finding a good tri mode keyboard ( I like wireless when playing that is why, I want to buy a keyboard with a dongle) which do you prefer the GMK67 or akko 3068B. (I'll mod both of them though its my first time)

    • @TapeMod
      @TapeMod  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t tried the 3068 but I have an Akko/ducky 3087 and I love that board! With the Akko your gonna get switches and key caps for not much more money. I’d also personally trust the Akko to last a bit longer. So while I do like the GMK67’s PC plate and gasket mount for a nice feel… I’d probably still say buy the Akko. It’s really fun to mod stuff so have fun!

    Great video looking at getting into keybaord building but really dont know much. Is there any way to make it heavier? I really like my alienware keybaord its super heavy and inlike that so it doesnt move around.

    • @TapeMod
      @TapeMod  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There’s a million mods to add weight… but honestly if you like a heavy board this is NOT the one for you my friend. Sorry for the slow reply BTW. Look for something with an aluminum chassis and if you want really heavy look for something with an additional weight. However the price definitely goes up as the weight does in most cases. I’m actually picking up a cheap metal bodied board on Friday and should have a video up for it by next week so maybe hit subscribe at least for that one. Cheers 🍻 THANKS for watching and commenting. It’s appreciated.

      @@TapeMod I ended up going with a wooting 60he module and the alumaze thing weights a lot for being a 60% feels great too just want some different keycaps not a big fan of the ones I have now and it's been a struggle to find some lol I've looked through all kinds of sites

    • @TapeMod

    is the tape mod on the board safe even with the battery in there?

    • @TapeMod
      @TapeMod  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If your afraid of fire obviously don’t do it… I cannot tell you it’s safe* you could use electrical tape instead of painters tape to cut down on the possibility. But proceed at your own risk… I believe I’ll be fine but I don’t leave the board unattended it’s used wirelessly with my laptop so if I’m not using it… it’s off
