Hello, this videos still makes me cry... By the I also watched your Filipino Rock covers, how about original rock or rap metal bands in the Philippines like Greyhoundz, Slapshock, Queso, wolfgang, Franco, urbandub etc. can you also feature them to your video please and watch their music videos especially their original english songs. 😊Thank you! 💗
the 2 commercials are connected. Date and Parangal (tribute in english). The kid on "Date" is the one who is in "Parangal". He grew up raised by a single mom because his dad passed away in "Date". This is his tribute for them (Parangal). Also a tribute to all hard working mothers and children who understands the hardships of their parents and strive to be a good student.
That fast food made a lot of real memories for a lot of people. That's why these commercials are relatable. I could even say it's already part of Filipino Culture.
@@leonidesjocsoncasibo7872it actually translates to "Oh my God" or "My God" which people do say but they try to avoid because its using Lord's name in vain. But America right now is divided in two. Its because Filipinos are emotional people. When you touch there hearts with good emotions they loved it. That is why balled songs are so Big in Philippines.
Hey guys i was here in my work suddenly tearing while laughing then my coworkers asked me of what happened, i said that the jollibee commercial makes my tear come out again but then this 2 people watching the jollibee commercials makes me laugh at the same time. It's crazy! 😂
Jollibee is not just a fast food chain for every filipino families, its part of our culture being so family oriented. Because as far as i can remember we celebrate every important events in our lives like birthdays and graduations at Jollibee. We love ❤️ you guys.
I remember when Jollibee started the very first series of these commercials (i'm kinda revealing my age here lol), Jollibee set up boxes where you can drop letters about your life stories in a box at every branch and they pick from there 💛
i love how moved you are with these Jollibee commercials. Thank you for appreciating Filipino values in each, too. God bless you both for being true in your thoughts about Filipino spirit. Respects to both of you for loving what we have. God bless you Waleska and Efra!
hits different now that im watching this and that my father just passed away 2 years ago... the loneliness for my father all swept in 😥.. hidlaw nako sa imo pa ... I LOVE YOU ❤️ Edit: and its also nov1 ... damn
Now you have to eat at Jollibee and try the fried chicken. There are several stores in the UK - London, Leicester, Liverpool, Leeds, Reading, Newcastle, Cardiff, Nottingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh. You're welcome. Enjoy
So thered jollibee in.... London, Leicester, Liverpool, Leeds, Reading, Newcastle, Cardiff, Nottingham, Glasgow, and Edinburgh in UK ...growing up with jollibee I always have it every time we go out even now every time I go home I only eat jollibee this is how big they are I think most of the people jollibee is part of thier childhood memories.. and about the true story I'm, not sure, but I think people sent their life story to jollibee. That's why jollibee got this bunkers story every year and a lot of people waiting for this mini teleserye, haha. BTW, enjoy your reactions. I watched it how many times.
🇵🇭 The sauce is Jollibee Chickenjoy's 🍗 gravy. It's just that we Filipinos love to dip our fries 🍟 in either the gravy (if you like to it the fries with a sauce that's salty and/or savor/meaty/umami) and/or also in the sundae or sundae twirl or in the Coke float's ice cream (if you like to eat the fries as sweet and treat the fries as dessert or dessert-like), or even in or together with other Jolly food items or meals that we can dip our fries in or eat our fries with.
Susmaryosep = Hesus Maria Jose..in the translation yes, it can mean 'Oh My God', or a feeling of incredulousness over something; The phrase 'Oh My God' for a more accurate translation is actually 'Diyos Ko Po'
🇵🇭 Wale and Efra, the word is just "kuwento" in Filipino and in formal Tagalog (or "kwento" in Tagalog and in informal Filipino) and not "kuwentong" nor "kwentong". "Kuwento" or "kwento" are variants of each other that only differ in their spelling and formality, with the former being more used in contexts where and when Filipino and formal Tagalog are being used, and the latter being more used in contexts where and when Tagalog and informal Filipino are being used. The ' -ng' suffix is just a grammatical connector that connects the word "kuwento" or "kwento" with the word "Jollibee" as a word that describes (Jollibee) and a word that is being described (kuwento/kwento) in the phrase or title (aka as the adjective and the noun of the phrase or title, respectively). Both variants are derived from the Spanish word "cuento" (story) and have the same general meaning as the Spanish word, but they are only phonetically spelled or respelled locally or indigenously using the historical, traditional and former national and co-official, localized or indigenized, Latin or Roman script-based/alphabet-based alphabet (Abakada/Abakada alphabet/Tagalog alphabet/Tagalog-based Filipino alphabet/Pilipino alphabet) for the Tagalog language as the basis and also for the former national and co-official language of the Philippines based on the Tagalog language in 1940, which was lastly named or renamed as Pilipino or the Pilipino language in 1959, before it was completely, nationally, officially, constitutionally and institutionally reconceptualized, replaced and renamed into or as Filipino or the current Filipino language in 1973 and in 1987, which on the other hand is broader and more urban or urbanized, modern or modernized, contemporary, multilingual-based, multiculture-based, multi-ethnicity-based, multinationality-based, internationalized or globalized, inclusive, accepting, dynamic, adaptive, adoptive, mixed and intellectualized than Tagalog, and is standard or standardized, codified, formalized, made national or nationalized and nationwide, and then made official for the Philippine national government, its branches, agencies and for other Philippine national institutions, for official communications within and by and from the Philippine national government and other Philippine national institutions, for national and international Philippine, Filipino and Philippine-based mass media, entertainment and communications, and for Philippine, Filipino and Philippine-based education and academe. Although the national and co-official language of the Philippines have changed into Filipino and with its expanded and more inclusive alphabet and its letters, such as already having and including the letter Cc, to properly, sensitively, inclusively and easily spell and adopt foreign loanwords and non-Tagalog, non-Tagalog-derived and non-Tagalog-based words from the other languages of the Philippines, the spelling for "kuwento" and/or "kwento" weren't changed back to its original Spanish word and spelling "cuento", because "kuwento" and/or "kwento" with their spellings are already part of the corpus or body of the national lingua franca or the national common language of the Philippines (the Filipino language) and its corpus or body of words and vocabulary or its lexicons, lexis, lemmas and/or lexemes, because they're uneasy for most Filipinos (especially older Filipinos) to unlearn and also to learn or relearn how to respell them back to or as only the original Spanish word and spelling "cuento", and because its spelling variants of "kuwento" and "kwento" are now more Filipino, more nationwide, and more nationally well-known, popular, easily recognized and well understood as Filipino words by most Filipinos more than the word and spelling "cuento", which is Spanish, Spanish-based or more Spanish-based (and which is what is the official, formal, and/or standard or standardized and codified spelling in Chavacano/Chabacano, especially in the Zamboanga or Zamboangueño variety). 👋🏼😄🇵🇭 Buenas o hola, saludos y buenos dias desde aqui na un barrio o barangay na Costa Este, Segundo Distrito o Distrito Dos, na Ciudad de Zamboanga, aqui na Filipinas!
I came to this channel way back (5-6 years ago) when KZ pop up in this channel.. Same time when kwentong Jollibee was a hype.. This is a long overdue.. 😊❤
This is why Jollibee is so special for Filipinos. It's more than just a homegrown fast food chain. It has a part in our lives, our celebrations of victories, comfort when we needed it, nostalgia of childhood. Jollibee is a culture beneath those chicken grease 😂 Now imagine the countless Filipino workers overseas seeing Jollibee in the country they're in. The flood of homesickness will really get to them. It's a symbol of home.
Lol how come you didn't realize that the first video and the second video is just a one story, but you just watched the part 2 first and then the part 1😂😂😂and also the 3rd video is the part 2 of the very first Jollibee commercial you've watched 😂most of Jollibee commercial has two parts pay attention with that 😅
If you're tired of Jollibee ones, I would recommend Vicks' "Learning to love - Touch of care", Johnson&johnson's "Your touch is enough", and Globe's Silent Christmas one. If you need a break from crying, I'd recommend FITA Academy's "Using math to get over your X" :P
22:39 the grandpa said, "Susmaryosep." shortened for "Hesus, Maria, Josep," or "Jesus, Mary and Joseph", equivalent to OMG or "oh my god". Mostly older folks or those from older generations use those expression today.
You are watching them backwards, they made the commercials in several parts… like they created 3 different commercials and the following year they released its sequels… you watch the kid graduated (sequel) before watching the kid dated his mom (1st part)…
Jollibee - the most sadistic bee in the world. Don’t bee deceived by all the smiling and dancing they do. They’ll hand you a bucket of chicken, then they would proceed with crushing you and making you cry with their commercials. LOL
Never a single of Jollibee commercial that I didn't cry. I was in college (10 years ago) when these Jollibee commercials were a hit. We were actually waiting for every Jollibee commercial to be televised or available on any flatform to watch, and as always, shattered our hearts into pieces and made a mess out of our emotions LOL 😂 Now, I'm rewatching it together with both of you , and I am laughing and crying at the same time especially the last one with grandpa. I was literally a mess but I was laughing so hard at the same time coz we had the same reaction. 😅😂 I actually did pause your video on the grandpa part and was contemplating if I would continue because I was crying already. It was so funny when Efra fast forward then skipped the commercial coz I was also thinking the same thing. HAHAHA
The song 'To Love Again' was also the OST of a movie of the same title starring Sharon Cuneta and the late Miguel Rodriguez. It's a beautiful song to be honest.
The choke hold "Choice" had on me back then my gosh!!!! I remember crying my eyes out repeating the climax part because of the song and wiping my tears everytime until the skin around my eyes were raw....
First, with the beautiful wedding music aside, all the songs used are from the '80s and '90s. I forgot what year it was but Jollibee came up with its Valentine trilogy that are said to be based on true stories: VOW, DATE, CRUSH. They went viral. So I guess, Jollibee decided to make the prequel/sequel PERFECT PAIR and PARANGAL, which, if you watched after DATE, you'd realize is a sequel, too. I recommend that you compare (off-cam) the narrations and scenes of VOW and PERFECT PAIR. As for "new" ones, I suggest HOMECOMING (a must now, I think), my fave CHECKLIST (ONE TRUE PAIR), and AMOR. There are more, but these are the best ones I've seen so far.
The 1st commercial is connected to the 2nd commercial. The kid graduated dedicated to the mothers sacrifice from the 1st commercial "Date". Bcoz the father died already ❤❤❤
Waleska and Efra, happy to watch every reaction you made us proud as Filipino Now please count EL GAMMA PENUMBRA one of the greatest talent of Filipino
I have been watching your channel for a long time and I think this is my favorite so far. I was laughing then crying then laughing again. You two are hilarious! Also, no matter how many times I’ve seen these commercials, I STILL cry! lol. You guys are awesome! Please do more reactions to the Jollibee commercials! There are so many good ones!
The expression "Susmaryosep" (O my God) in the beginning actually is a shortened jesus, maria and joseph pertaining to the holy family...a fav expression among filipinos
24:43 ohmygosh guyssss I can't stop laughing!! HAHAHAHA "2x speed, f*ck u you win"😂😂😂 I was crying+laughing from the commercial and from you both guys. Hahahaha
Have you noticed. The two commercials are connected. Date and Parangal (a homage in English). The child on "Date" is the one in "Parangal". He grew up with a single mother after his father died in "Date". This is his dedication to them (Parangal). Also, this is a dedication to all hardworking mothers and children who recognize their parents' struggles and aspire to be successful students.
I was waiting for this!!! ❤❤ i kept giggling everytime efra was like raging! 🤣🤣🤣 we hope Efra wasn't too traumatized by the Jollibee Commercials.. hehehe.. Jollibee loves you Efra and Waleska.. 🥰🥰🥰
That's just how we Filipinos are. Jollibee has been part of our childhood. One American commented "why cry over chicken?". It's simple, many events in our lives involved Jollibee. Memories we cherish. I do not mean to mock the others like mc Donald's, Popeyes,KFC etc, but I think they need to be creative in a way that doesn't destroy the image of its competitors; it just so happened that Jollibee commercials are made by a culture that is warm, loving, sincere, passionate etc. That probably explains why, inspire of our country being a third world nation, doesn't have terrible things happening like mass shootings in the US. The way these commercials are made reflect the Filipino soul.
This is relatable to every Filipino it’s how they pay tribute to their parents, recognizing very mother’s hardship not just for their children but for the whole family.. no wonder ANAK and MAPA became national anthems 😅
These special series commercials are actually true stories. They are not far fetched and are relatable to many because most filipinos i believe has a jollibee story of its own. Its not a fast food chain, its literally part of our culture at this point. Like most of us would probably argue they have a memorybof celebrating birthdays, anniversaries or graduations at Jollibee whether with family, friends or special someone's or it doesn't even have to be a huge celebration, it could also be the family sundays where we eat together after church or the after exams hangout with friends
repeatedly watched waleska and efras reaction in "the choice" that was fun.. guys watch their faces again when they were shocked! i love this channnnnnel!!!!!!
Wassaup joe!! Mexican from filipinas, filipinos are very emotional people, filipinos adoptan cuaquier cultura o tradicion as long there is food, y por eso tambien toman ventaja de ellos that is sad but true.
Vanya Castor sang this track 17:27 entitled "To Love Again". She had a performance of it live at the Wish Bus. The song was composed by Odette Quesada and Sharon Cuneta was the original singer (released in 1982). Dingdong Avanzado had a rendition of it that was released in 1997.

Your comments touch all the ofw missing a lot in their country Philippines and the chaos of the government in the moment .
Yeah. Sayang they missed that. Waleska got the other one, thou.
Chaos in the government of Duterte who killed thousands of Filipinos so he can look good to his bloodthirsty supporters.@@zennyjemoto8618

'Date' came first before 'Parangal' those were the same mother and son. Those commercials done years apart.
The soundtrack used in 'The Choice' Jollibee commeecial is entitled 'To Love Again' composed by Odette Quesada, and initially sung by Sharon Cuneta.
they have reacted to it , Waleska said she is not sure from whom did she heard it. it was their reaction to Dingdong Avanzado
Yes they reacted to Odette very early on, when she sang this on the WishBus

I love it whenever they try to read and speak in Tagalog. ❤ They're so adorable. ❤

Efra: Let’s celebrate with new 2pcs deal 😂😂😂😂😂😂.
The 1st commercial is connected to the 2nd commercial. The kid graduated dedicated to the mothers sacrifice from the 1st commercial "Date". Bcoz the father died already ❤❤❤
I think “tribute” was the sequel to “date”
Waleska and Efra, happy to watch every reaction you made us proud as Filipino
Now please count EL GAMMA PENUMBRA one of the greatest talent of Filipino
Well not only Fastfood have storytelling commercials but also Coke, Internet provider, and even laundry soaps😅
So happy to see you guys starting from reacting to SB19 up to today speaking in tagalog now 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I was crying and laughing at Efra.😅😅😅
I have been watching your channel for a long time and I think this is my favorite so far. I was laughing then crying then laughing again. You two are hilarious! Also, no matter how many times I’ve seen these commercials, I STILL cry! lol.
You guys are awesome! Please do more reactions to the Jollibee commercials! There are so many good ones!
This is the moment that i am waiting for. Hahhaahhaha. Efra is so funny. Lols.
25:14 Iyak-tawa , Crying and Laughter JOLLYBEE's mind fuck 🤣🤣🤣
Yup! I can't do one or the other. I gotta do both😭🤣
The expression "Susmaryosep" (O my God) in the beginning actually is a shortened jesus, maria and joseph pertaining to the holy family...a fav expression among filipinos
Atlaaaaaaaaast. I'm a silent fan for both of you guys 😂🫶 Now, I can rest in peace 🩷😂
Just keep smiling watching you guys.
i am crying and laughing with you😂😂😂🥹🥹🥹
💗💗💗 love the both of you, the good vibes thing.
OMG. They also watched PERFECT PAIRS before the VOW huhuhu. Who suggested that sequence to you guysss.
EDIT.
They already watch the VOW before
@4:29 it is the prequel of the "parangal" you just watched a while ago, you can understand the mother's situation once you're done watching it.
THAT'S WHY JOLLIBEE SELLS THE MOST COMMERCIALS ROCKS AHAAHAHH
24:43 ohmygosh guyssss I can't stop laughing!! HAHAHAHA "2x speed, f*ck u you win"😂😂😂 I was crying+laughing from the commercial and from you both guys. Hahahaha
this got to be one of the funniest but at the same time, "realest" reaction i saw for JB commercials! lol!
You both were sooo genuine!!...you two makes me emotional too
The musical score in the CHOICE commercial is an instrumental version of an OPM "To Love Again"
HAHAHA.. was literally crying and laughing at the same time with your reactions. Let's all look forward for this year's Kwentong Jollibee
It seems your amazed by the vocals on the “choice” commercial, she did it on Wish Bus. Her name is Vanya Castor title of the song is To love Again
I suggest you watch the prequel of that particular commercial guys. Its a tear jerker too
I really love this two reactions ever since before❤❤❤
That's just how we Filipinos are.
These ads has been ages ago and I still cried when I see these again from here.
You're just really amazingly funny! I love watching your videos!😍
I love watching you both. You’re reactions are the best and legit😂❤👍🏻
Been waiting for years for you guys to react to this.... Thank you.
repeatedly watched waleska and efras reaction in "the choice" that was fun.. guys watch their faces again when they were shocked! i love this channnnnnel!!!!!!
I cant stop laughing watching Waleska has cheesy face reaction hahahahah and Efra side comments HAHAHAHAHAHA
Wassaup joe!! Mexican from filipinas, filipinos are very emotional people, filipinos adoptan cuaquier cultura o tradicion as long there is food, y por eso tambien toman ventaja de ellos that is sad but true.
I had been waiting for you to react with these commercials!! Damn!! Your reactions are just so fun to watch! 😂
I enjoyed watching ur reactions guys.... do more :D
You guys are so funny. I love your reactions. Very authentic and not forced.
