I could see passion in her eyes, she was hurt when the birds were hurt, and she was happy when she saw people coming together to clean up the environment. That`s the passion and attitude we need in people to fight plastic pollution. A true love for Mother Nature, when we love her, we can`t hurt her

I am in tears over here. It really makes you consider your own buying of plastic. We have to do something about this

Has nothing to do with you buying it, it's how waste management companies are disposing of it. We still have 3rd world S'holes dumping and piping all their waste in to their local rivers and a lot of it flushes in to the oceans.

I will do everything in my living power to ensure people around the world are changing their mindset to plastic & waste management. I will not allow my world to suffer & meet its demise by our foolish actions. I ask anyone who see's this fantastic documentary to share this & educate as many people as possible. A lot of people in America have no clue how much garbage is actually in the oceans. If we dont change our ways we will all be goners within a very short time.

Trillions of sea animals have already cruelly died their lives as of humans missconduct. Everyone who is bathing in the sea is adding plastic thru sun cream! Additionally those who litter the beaches….

This plastic thing- I just need to look in our public garbage room!!! People are terrible at recycling and the plastic is usually thrown away with the food waste.
I'm not sure if they are just stupid or if they just don't give a fuss.

Nobody allowed to post links on TH-cam of course but I just watched a study where they tested almost every kind of seafood 'harvested' from the ocean imaginable. 100% of the samples tested had plastic in their bodies. All of them. They were hard pressed to find any creature that didn't.
We're definitely eating it too, microplastics are in our system now and we don't know what the long term effects are.

What we see now in the oceans is coming from earthquakes and tsunami's all over the world, especially in Japan. Houses were destroyed with all in it, it was dragged by the water into the ocean during the big seaquake near to Indonesia, Thailand and struck also India, SriLanka and even Afrika, ca. 250.000 people lost their lives.

So, so sad seeing what plastic is doing to the environment. What makes matters worse is the amount of it. I wonder if we can reverse this problem or is it a run away train. Is there a solution to what seems to be an out of control dilemma?

    • @koosvanpetten5567
      @koosvanpetten5567 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

For every problem there is a solution. First: STOP with milk in cartons or plastic cans. Second: STOP with producing plastic bags for yr groceries and bring yr own textile bag with you to the store. Third: STOP throwing away all kind of garbage out of yr car on the street as you visited Macdonalds for example, it would be better to boycot that store, because this food is not good for yr health at all.

because i have needs and i know people act like im just one person i can't make a difference but i try to do what i can i recycle as much as possible

I was born in 1958 and we didn't have this problem because most homes had incinerators in the basement. You would load in anything that could be burned, turn a dial and walk away. Within 15 seconds the burners kick in and for one hour everything was burned into a handful of ashes. But, then the EPA complained about the air quality, the gas company made people disconect their incinerators. After my parents died I modified my incinerator to run off of bottled propane and went right on using it especially for burning plastics!

Although plastics are creating one of the biggest problems globally, there is however an underlying fact that we cannot stop its usage.
You see it has become part of our daily lives.
    It's in technology/supermarkets / Industries.
Maybe zoning can be explored to assist with this problem. - If Governmental bodies can legislate policies for NO PLASTICS ZONES - it can contribute in its minimization to a certain degree,
e.g. Beaches - where plastics can endanger the aquatic lives in the oceans.
Establishing these zones together with the incursion of a fixed penalty/fine at an exorbitant fee can assist.
But this will take a lot of funding via the setting up of CCTV close circuit cameras/manpower and the likes.
The establishment of strong /vibrant environmental management agencies with sub offices in various counties/zones/states manned by dedicated/responsible individuals who mean business can turn it around to a certain extent.
Frequent patrolling by said individuals can get the message across.
Ramping up of public education. Into the dangers of plastics as well as recycling.
Just how they implemented driving a vehicle without a seatbelt is a traffic violation with a fine imposed, same MOO - method of operation for plastics can be applied.

When I was a child, we went shopping with shopping nets. We had our milk jug filled at the milk shop. All the produce was weighed and we packed it into our nets. Cucumbers and cabbage, herrings and eels were weighed out of barrels and put into paper bags. then came the plastic bag. for us back then, collectibles. When I see the unhealthy and superfluous crap in the supermarkets today and notice again and again that 90% of the goods are edible but unhealthy, then I see the packaging that is increasingly colorful, prettier and more elaborate. We pay for the packaging that we don't want or need. Follow the money - oil industry to packing corporations to food manufacturers. Many supermarkets removed the packing tables and garbage containers so that customers do not leave the packaging in the store. but in Germany it is still possible.

Like a fool, I wash my plastic bags while my neighbors pour out enough garbage in 7 days to easily fill a 45 gallon rolling trashcan. How can you deal with that consumptive mindset. I told them in restaurant no straw and they asked me why? WHY? Consumptive mindset!!

This is exactly why our God, Jehovah promises at Revelation 11:18 that he’s going to,”bring to ruin those ruining the earth.”
He gave us humans a perfect, beautiful earth and due to man made greed we have gradually filled his gift with our garbage.
Jeremiah 10:23 tells us “ it’s not up to man even to direct their footsteps.”
Man will never be able to undo the damage but Gods Kingdom government will .(Psalms 146:3-5).

I 100% disagree with this video..., is very clear that the reason of many plastic in the sea it's because they're not recyclable they don't make money so people don't want to gather them.,
It cost too much to recycle so why is it made.... Human is not the the maker of the plastic is the problem..,.
Only 6% of our plastic are recyclable yes and yet they still pass the triangle symbol for recycling which is misleading........
This is a bad show that do not speak properly about the problem......
This is a sugar coating that constantly blames the consumer while the consumer is not inform of the plastic products

    • @jpazvene
      @jpazvene ปีที่แล้ว

Plastic is only made for one condition and it's only to be sold ...... There are only 6% of the plastics are recyclable the rest are not due to cause volume because it can only be recycled in a lab so the amount of money goes to staggering.....
