Hi Renee! I’m from Wisconsin!! That pin is Bucky Badger (Buckingham Ulysses Badger) the Mascot of our University of Wisconsin system. He has been around since the early-mid 20th century. First cartoon 1930’s, first sweater 1940’s Good $10 on eBay... sweet!!!
Great video Renee, love that it was a bit longer today, as it’s so enjoyable watching you pick and review. Loved the 1806 book and the scrap book with the aviation pictures and comics. Thank you so much for keeping us entertained throughout our exile!! 🇬🇧
I can see you in a pair of plaid stirrup pants, a green pullover sweater with a white Peter Pan collar showing and that British pin on the sweater. Super cute Christmas look. 😊❤️
You had some awesome things to look through. Love the old books, that costume was nice. Mary Poppins doll great find. The book box was a awesome price. Great video. ~ Texas
Puff the Magic Dragon brings back so many sweet memories! My son played the record over and over and over. A little too much then but it brings a smile now.
You found so many wonderful things. The box of books was a great find at that price. Ohhh and Mary Poppins, such an adorable doll. Stay safe and God Bless
What GREAT Finds !!! The Vintage Halloween Skirt & Cape are To Die For !!! Plus the box of old books are a real find!! The Sing-A-Rhyme Book inside pictures are So bright and colorful !! Even the books in sad shape are great to sell to people making scrap books! The scrapbook that was mostly about planes is also really nice, who knows what may be hidden in it. Also, Love Mary Poppins!! What a day you had!!!! THANKS for Making My Day !!!
I have a set of those deer, the white, my mom bought them for my kids 20 plus years ago. They are nice and white too. Rare, they are usually dirty. Enjoyed all the finds!
It is really difficult to walk away without doing a “happy dance” when what you want is a low price. Hard to keep a straight face lol I wish our flea markets would open up soon. :( hi from England
Oh the little kids books I love them , some of the larger books could be framed and put in a nursery or small child’s room . The beautiful illustrations and artwork are so charming ! Have a great day ! 🏖
@11:56 It's Bucky Badger! He is the mascot for UM football. You realize that not only is WI famous for its cheese (and the Packers) but we have tons of animals to see. Especially up north by Lake Superior. Moose. Yep moose O,o !!! Plus Caribou(imported)Geese, mountain lions, bobcats, ducks of every kind., deer, wolves, black bears, wild turkeys and Bucky plus his cousins. Old junk, lots of antiques and stuff. It's closer than Yellow Stone with very different scenery but fun too. There, another place to visit with lots of stuff to see and do. Or buy.:)
Scrapbooking was big in the 50s/60s. I remember being gifted blank ones as a child, sure I gave them for birthdays too. Witch costume looked familiar stylewise. There used to be a bugs bunny one that was very disappointing, the mask didn't look much like Bugs, and the cheap onesie part of it just was gray and had his name stamped on it. Kind of funny, might be worth a lot now. Mr Banks was very good, kind of heartbreaking though. Such a beautiful doll. Thanks for your videos, I enjoy them a lot.
I was absolutely drooling over the children's books! The ones that break apart or only have the covers left you can sell to folks like myself that make them into hardback blank journals with binding machines.
Oh my goodness. I teach a class in the history of children's literature and - will stalk your ETSY shop to see what becomes available. That was a great deal on the book of children's books. I am interested in the Jack and Jill magazines!
Chris-ABQ Hi Renee! 😊...what a great haul! Sooo many fun finds...Love the reindeer trio!! 🥰...Mary Poppins doll...box-o-books!! So many goodies! Great video!! 😉
Some great finds! Check out the 5 Little Peppers and How They Grew novel. It was originally published in 1880 in a magazine. The novel followed shortly after. The novel was wifdly used as a reading book for grades 6-8 and later movies were made. A delightful, inspiring story that was the first in a series, and is considered a children's classic to many. Might not be worth anything but worth checking for collectors.
What a great tour at the flea market Renee! If I could get my hand on the Racing Car magazine that would be awesome. The box with the children's books was a pretty lovely find. And you found some Halloween for your collection. Loved the episode.
Hi happy Blessed day ❣️ awesome day at the flea market 👍 my favorite is the vintage witch costume and Mary Poppins thanks for sharing 🌈 God bless and happy summer 🙌🌷😍🎼
Oh how I envy you all wearing hoodies and trying to keep warm.....we are really feeling it with almost 100 degree temps these days. It looks like a lot of fun!! ❤️
Hello Renee. I know you had to of almost fainted when he sad $2.00 for the Halloween costume. Wow it's in fabulous shape . I love old books kids books are so much brighter in color when there older. I want to go to goodwill and Habitat for humanity now that it's opened back up maybe this weekend. What a day at the flea market.📷📜📙💕💖💖💕💯💯💯🌺🌺💯💯💯💯🎥💖💖💖
Looked like a good flea market, thanks for taking us along! The Halloween outfit it great! Looks to be in excellent condition and I think a minor miracle that it still had its hood. I would have grabbed that snake skin wallet in a heartbeat The car books were a good buy, kind of surprised that the seller didn’t ask more. Look through them for any photos of Jungle Pam , they sell good. She was a ....uhmm...very healthy young girl that was part of the crew for the drag racer Jungle Jim. They raced in the north east. Dr Seuss did advertising work before being a children author , his adds for Flit bug spray are not to rare and are neat. Some would be considered racist today and I think they go for a premium.
I do regret not buying the wallet. The feel of it was so nice and I kept second-guessing myself on whether or not. I'm sure if I would have bundled it with my other items, the price wouldn't have changed much.
Lovely to have a longer video! Great finds and loved the Halloween costume (1950s?) and kids books. Can you show us that great old book dated 1806? Very interested in it x
Always enjoy your treasure hunts, but i think I like the trash bags the best, grab and go . You always find something. Be safe out there, until next time.
Here are three easy and free ways to check if an item is sterling silver or not. First, use a large magnet. If it is magnetic, not silver. Also get a piece that you know is sterling silver and something that looks like silver but is not. Smell each piece. Sterling silver should have little to no scent. If it smells acrid, then it is not sterling silver. Lastly, silver has the highest thermal conductivity rate of any known metal-it conducts heat extremely fast. You can use this knowledge to determine if your item is made from silver. Fill a bowl with several ice cubes and an inch of water. Place your silver item and a similarly sized non-silver item into the ice water. The silver item should become cold to the touch in approximately 10 seconds. The non-silver item will not feel as cold at this time. At one time I always had chemicals around to test for silver, but they corrode even through their plastic containers and I didn't like that.
Somewhere I have that 5 Little Peppers book. I have a trunk full of books that mom gave me years ago. I havent been in it but am so glad she gave to me when she did. I have an encyclopedia she also gave me..the colors are vivid. My books were well kept. Mom told me I was always very careful with my books and made my friends put exactly where they came from after they looked at them she said each book had it's place and you didnt dare put it so where else. I was very adamant about that. Isnt that funny? Lol. Thanks for sharing.💜💜
Love the books and the gem stone pendants. The Halloween costume is cute. The scrap book looks the most valuable. 1938 before WWII. Even had Hitler's picture in there. Anyone who collects war memorabilia would love that.
Great books. Enjoy going to fleas with you. Ours around here are all inside, nice, because it covers all seasons. Sometimes the merchandise is the same things each time you go. You seem to get different products each week.
I hate to disagree, but that scrapbook from 1938 was probably your best find. Flight historians and enthusiasts will probably bid that treasure trove way up, if you list it on Ebay. Both my older brothers had model planes from the early forties and continued that interest all their lives. Just a wonderful find, I think!
Hi 😊 I think those smalls that you were thinking about using as pendants are called fobs and they go on the end of a pocket watch chain. I’m not sure but look them up just in case. Some of them are worth money
That alarm sounds like a giant cricket! I see three insulators...would have taken those from Taco. That little vase is a neat piece...probably had a cap lid. Looks Asian. Mary Poppins has a bit of a Japanese look. I have a couple of 1927-8 78 records saluting "Lucky Lindy". Nice finds.
I would say your flea markets are in full swing now. Lots of diggers and divers! Your kids books looks like there were some good early chromolithography pieces in there. That has to be your best Halloween find yet! Now to find the paper mache and candy containers. It will happen.
LOL you passed up on the moose hehehe I don't blame yah every mail video seems like everyone mails you a moose of some thing right?? Any ways loved that 24.00 vase so beautiful you have awesome taste!!!
Hey kiddo GREAT finds there. I have a LIFE magazine from November 1971 in GREAT shape with a somewhat historical cover. Is it old enough for you? If so I'll send it ok as I have two copies. ( the cover will have to be a surprise ) How was your tea? Be well.
Until September?! Sorry about that. At least you have rummage sales to make up for it. I think rummage sales here are pretty much all cancelled, perhaps in the fall (hopefully!).
I'm curious how your gonna feel and do when you have to go back to the office? Maybe your company will allow everyone to work from home!!! Love the flea market video's.

Yes enjoyed it I believe the witch costume is early 70s I had one when I was a child
The music sheet books had beautiful and visually appealing art work 🕊🙏🕊🙏🕊🙏🕊
As I say many times, the colors on that piece were still so vivid and beautiful! Even after all of these years, the colors retain their prettiness.
That costume on the doll is the original on the first mary Poppins dolls
I love Mary Poppins too. And all the recent movies.
I loved reading "Five Little Peppers" as a kid. There is a whole series of them.
Hi from Wisconsin 🌻 You found some awesome items at great prices. I love the box of books & Halloween costume. Thanks for the video. ✌

I lived in Madison a few months for a job, and I loved it!
“Bucky the Badger” pin. Lived in West Allis and Appleton through 8th grade.

I see the 7 Mile Fair (flea market south of Milwaukee) is still going strong; I remember that as my “first” flea market visit in the mid 1960’s.

I love the scrapbook. My mother had one with all kinds of greeting cards from when she was a child (she was born in 1918) Wish I had it now.
Those books would look nice displayed on a bookshelf in your house.
Wish we had a flea market like that nearby!
I really like flea markets

Our Flea Market is closed until September but, I do manage to find some Rummage Sales and been finding some great treasures.
Until September?! Sorry about that. At least you have rummage sales to make up for it. I think rummage sales here are pretty much all cancelled, perhaps in the fall (hopefully!).
I totally loved that scrap book!!
I'm curious how your gonna feel and do when you have to go back to the office? Maybe your company will allow everyone to work from home!!! Love the flea market video's.
So far we are still able to work from home if we choose. I'm wondering what they will think when I finally quit! Haha
Paper and Moose Stick with it as long as you can. If you can continue to work from home & trash pick it's a win. Tough out there without benefits ✌🏻
