Those eyes at the end, he stays in character and has an intensity that insane! His energy as he turned that last phrase was incredible. In the course of 3 minutes he arrested my emotions and summoned me into his world and had his way with me! Tears! This man must be a Demi-god or something. I’m changed.
If you really want enjoy a powerful performance by Luciano Pavarotti, and feel deep inside the sadness if the story, emotion, passion... You must listen to this aria: "Vesti la giubba", you can get this video with the lyrics. You'll love it. 💜

Dear Seyimi Bode, I am so happy to hear your video. You have chosen one of the best opera arias, performed by one of the greatest tenors of all time. Moreover, the orchestra was conducted by one of the best conductors in the world, Zubin Mehta. What a delight for my ears. Thank you Seyimi. (By the way, Luciano Pavarotti is my favorite tenor.)

Luvciano is definetely Italian He is singing, what is known in the Opera world, an aria. Most aria's tell stories by melody and verse. Operas are made up of arias each telling a part of thr overall theme.
Translation with explanation: Nessun dorma! Nessun dorma! Tu pure, o Principessa, nella tua fredda stanza, guardi le stelle che tremano d'amore, e di speranza! None shall sleep! None shall sleep! Not even you, oh Princess, in your cold bedroom, watching the stars that tremble with love, and with hope! Ma il mio mistero è chiuso in me; il nome mio nessun saprà! No, No! Sulla tua bocca, lo dirò quando la luce splenderà! But my secret is hidden within me; no one will know my name! No, no! On your mouth, I will say it when the light shines! Ed il mio bacio scioglierà il silenzio che ti fa mia! And my kiss will dissolve the silence that makes you mine! Just before the climactic end of the aria, a chorus of women is heard singing in the distance: Il nome suo nessun saprà, E noi dovrem, ahimè, morir, morir! No one will know his name, and we will have to, alas, die, die! Calaf, now certain of victory, sings: Dilegua, o notte! Tramontate, stelle! Tramontate, stelle! All'alba, vincerò! Vincerò! Vincerò! Vanish, o night! Fade, you stars! Fade, you stars! At dawn, I will win! I will win! I will win!
The plot of the opera. Prince Calaf visits China, and falls in love with the beautiful princess Turandot. Turandot is, however, a bit of a bitch. She doesn't want to marry, and to avoid having to do so she sets any suiter who wants to marry her three puzzles. If the suiter gets them right, she'll marry him. If the suiter gets any wrong, they are executed. Calaf successfully answers 'beats' the three puzzles - but Turandot still doesn't want to marry him, so (being a good guy) he offers her an 'escape route'. If she can discover his name by morning he will accept that he has lost, and be executed - but if she doesn't, she's got to stop complaining, and keep her side of the deal by marrying him. Turandot sends out everyone she has authority over to try and discover his name. This song is Calaf singing 'Nessun Dorma' (no-one shall sleep) because everyone is awake, trying to find his name.

Hello Mr Neil, I’m glad you enjoy this.

Turandot sends out everyone she has authority over to try and discover his name.
