    We couple planning to move to other cities like Victoria or Vancouver from Montreal. We don't have jobs in hand. Can you please suggest how can we deal with this situation.
    The reason we want to move is for job opportunities, climate and for Indian communities or socialization

    • @rajatvindu
      @rajatvindu  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey… if you are planning to move to the West coast, definitely Vancouver and Victoria are the best options. These cities have many job opportunities and have better climate than rest of the Canada.
      Victoria, being the capital city of British Columbia has many government offices and hence, many jobs in the BC ministry. I will suggest you to check their website as not always all jobs they have are posted on LinkedIn. On the other hand, Vancouver, being a bigger and more global city, has many job opportunities in the private sector. If you really want to move this side, you can definitely start with some small roles and grow gradually in your career.
      Talking about the Indian community, Victoria definitely has that but the scale is comparatively smaller to Vancouver.
      Thanks

    Hi mam
    I am from india but i fear of Canada's winter since delhi winter is sometimes intolerable for me.
    Can you please tell that do all big companies have offices in Victoria?
    And how's the weather in summer?

    • @rajatvindu
      @rajatvindu  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not all big companies have offices in Victoria. However, work from home facilities will always be available. Vancouver is also a good option for you. Victoria’s winter is not bad compared to Delhi, as there are appliances to cope with Winter.
      I am also a winter hater but I am liking it here. So, don’t worry about winter.

    Hey, I just wanted to know is the renting is as expensive as they show in the websites or is it just a facade???
    I am asking this question coz I am moving to Victoria next year, UVic to be precise.
    So I am just gathering the basic information.

    • @rajatvindu
      @rajatvindu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the question. I can answer you more aptly if I could know which websites you are actually looking. I have been using Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, Kijiji and UsedVictoria and have rarely encountered wrong information.
      Being said that, you have to be more careful while place hunting because the information depends on the person who posts it. It will be no surprise that some people will be there just to trick you. I hope this answers your question.

    • @rajatvindu
      @rajatvindu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the question. Students can choose to do part time inside the university or outside the university. Many students choose to work outside at places such as McDonalds, Walmart, Tim Hortons, Subway or any other retail store.
      You can work up to 20 hours per week while classes are in session. During schedule breaks, you are allowed to work more than 20 hours.
