- I watched Greenock Morton take on Arbroath at Cappielow Park in the Scottish Championship!
A huge thanks to Greenock Morton Football Club for showing me around their fantastic stadium pre-match. I got to chat to the new owners group, MCT and even interviewed club legend Andy Ritchie.
Dick Campbell's Arbroath are flying in the Championship this season and it was a tight game with lots of goals and drama!

Lovely vlog. The Scottish stadia tours are brilliant. These people deserve respect. They're not plastic glory hunters like a lots fans of the Prem top teams. These people have real identity, loyality and local patriotism.

@@winegums3211 I actually see the younger fans increasing here in Ireland . They just love the craic , the flares , and the banter and you won’t get that at commercial football ! Hopefully people are waking up to real football
So good to see Andy Ritchie after all these years. Remember reading so much about him in "Shoot" magzine in the late 70s.
Love that ground. I saw Paul Pogba's brother play for Partick Thistle there, the day before Pogba played for France in the Euros final. Greetings from a Gillingham fan

Really glad you left with the impression of GMFC that you have Sam, as I’d said in another message Cappielow is a special place, for so many. A proper football ground. I’ve been going for over 40 years like Brian in the video, our parents before us, and now our own kids.
Pity we didn’t get to speak to you, my little girl was looking forward to telling you about her footballing exploits for Morton Girls. Yesterday was her first game at Cappielow. She loved it.

Brilliant! Greenock Morton, or just Morton like they were called back in the day, have always caught my interest. Perhaps because no less than 16 Danish footballers have played for them. I hope good times are waiting ahead for them.

I had a Panini sticker album in 78/79 and Morton were in the top division with The Dons,Gers and Celtic.

Yeah, video longer than usual, but just as enjoyable to watch. Been to Cappielow many times as a Thistle fan. Andy Ritchie.... the name still strikes fear into my heart, given some of his goals against us back in those days! He deserves his legend status among Morton fans.
What a beautiful location. That is speaking as a person living between The Solway Firth and Lakeland. I have got to get up there. Got to combine fishing with football trip.

The poles of uncertainty are much hated by tv crews here when they used to film highlights from the main stand, "we could of showed it was a soft award, but there it is, the cappielow pillar." is one I remember from watching old highlights lol.

Your videos are def getting longer, but probably because you are geting better known and more clubs are pleased to see you and allow more access to promote them in the positive light that you always do - plus the young'uns love getting on your channel and having you in their mob on the terraces !!

This is lovely stuff. Great to see so much enthusiasm and genuine interest in what is a great club at a ground that reminds you why you fell in love with football in the first place. Well done for focusing on the fan takeover and interviewing the absolute legend that is Andy Ritchie (former scout at the Villa and a great storyteller to boot). Come on Ye Ton!

Been to Morton games with my granda cos he lives in Greenock. Don't get to go to games in Scotland much now cos I'm in my final year at uni in Newcastle but Celtic are my team and I I always liked Morton cos I've been to a lot of games

Lived in Scotland my whole life and although I have been to a lot of grounds you never get to really know that club....keep smashing it! Have a wee look into the famous Hutchie Vale from Edinburgh where I coach sometime!

Never been to Morton’s ground but went to see the set of Waterloo road and got a photo outside it the only memory if got of being in greenock
