Horses, racing, pink gin, family fun, and Bluey! Family day at the York Racecourse... I think I heard someone say this is the second biggest venue in the UK, second only to Ascot. What a fantastic day... highly recommended!
We purchased a ticket right at the racecourse... easy tap-in and pay electroniccaly with applepay or credit card. Or book tickets in advance, although I trouble with overseas address. Warning: for normal race days (not family day) certain sections of seating are coat, collared shirt, pants only. Check before you go.

The last time I went to York Races, I came away with an overall loss of 2/6 (two and six ....ie. two shillings and sixpence)
..which might give you a clue to how often I go to the races.
