    I dont buy online period. Local dealers only. Cash only. When you're with the "Mad Max" crowd, you don't want any electronic record that the government can use to tell you are sitting on a pile of silver/gold.

    Goldmart.com is a good site. Prices are the cheapest that I've found. Buy 1 or a thousand. What ever you want. Also Westminster mint. Good prices and a great variety. Rounds, bars, 1/10 ounce to 100 ounce and more. Fractional silver is a great idea for bartering if things get bad. Extra premium of course per coin. If silver goes to $200 or $400 an ounce the premium you pay today will matter very little. No one knows what silver will do, but I'm buying to fight inflation not to get rich. Look at it this way, James Turk said you could buy a tank of gas in the 50's for two silver dollars. Those same two silver dollars will still buy a tank of gas today. This is why you should buy silver. PROTECTION.

      Yes.
      i have learned a lot in the short time :P that i have been stacking but nonetheless I will share with you some takeaways.
      1. 40% coins are cool, but not that cool
      2. bullion over junk silver ( I stack for ounces ).
      3. WATCH THE MARKET, Buy at appropriate times, sometimes saving your months silver purchases for the next month is worth it.
      4.Lastly. Ensure your silver is stored good enough, as in airtights, etc.

    started buying silver last summer up to 200 oz's , broken down mostly 1 oz rds,1/10,1/4 and 1/2 oz rds. I have also bought about 80 oz of copper rounds and bars. also have started coin roll hunting have found 23 ,40% half dolls so far.and have collected 200+ rolls of pre 1983 pennies.I know that the pennies can't be melted now but the copper in them may be worth the effort in the future.And in the very ieast I have a couple 100 bucks of coins.

    • @Mike.L.
      @Mike.L. 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +john doe The copper bullion is a total scam IMHO. They are WAY too expensive! The ONLY copper I collect are the pre-82's, (and the copper 82) cents, as they can be had at face value. That's very cheap copper. I have just over 60 lbs. of them. I used to go through rolls and fish them out. Now I just collect them from the change I get. Melting them would be a mistake even when it becomes legal. I say that for the same reason I believe melting 90% silver coins is a mistake. That destroys their recognizability. Also they are pre-weighed and are essentially all alike in that respect. They will be perfect for small purchases or for making change.

    • @johndoe-zk1yu
      @johndoe-zk1yu 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      as far as the copper,what i bought ,was I looked the way they looked so the price in thay case was ok. but holding on to pre 83 pennies is as you said"cheap copper".I get $25 sealed boxes and search them(i have time to kill)and have just over 100 pounds so far.The silver coins are better as they are,when the shtf they will be easy to use.

    • @Mike.L.
      @Mike.L. 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Way to go on the roll hunting! 100 pounds is great! I would have had about 150 lbs, but when I was up to 90 lbs., I traded my copper pennies for silver, so I had to start again. I have a strong position in silver, so I'll just keep the good ones I find in change from here on. Having time to kill, though, you can't go wrong with stacking cheap copper! :)

    @sam raven Finally someone who knows value. A lot of people buy silver hoping to make money. Silver shouldn't be looked at as an invest but rather security for your wealth. If silver ever went up to $30/oz again I would not sell.

    Hey Josh,
    I'm just starting out and have a few .999 1 oz bars and rounds but I was wondering if I should just stack some basic silver dollars like Morgans as they are 90% silver and I can pick them up for around $23 after taxes at a local Pawn shop. The shipping kills me at APMEX since I only can buy a few at a time so not having that $10 charge would keep me closer to spot price.
    Any thoughts on that?
    Thanks!

    • @JoshSilverStacker
      @JoshSilverStacker  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      hey man how goes it? yes some websites out there have a great variety of products and little to no shipping charges. Shipping is a HUGE factor in the Physical silver trade ! jmbullion might sound great to you. check it out! Also morgans are great, but they arnt exactly 100% silver etc etc. if you like morgans and you want to collect them , then i see nothing wrong with it, and at 23$ thats a decent price for them

    • @endlessadventure541
      @endlessadventure541 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Morgans are 72% silver, by the way. they have a lot of intrinsic value for the amount of silver they contain, however.

    • @SwollenDawgnutz
      @SwollenDawgnutz 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Jonathan C. 72% you might want to double check that. All of the Morgans I owe are 90%

    • @silverstacker999
      @silverstacker999 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jonathan C. I think you are getting your number base on the fact that 1 Morgan dollar contains .715 ozt (accounting for circulation, they were minted with a smidge more) And you were assuming that a morgan weighs one ounce? But that is just the actual silver weight in the coin not counting the extra 10 percent of copper, and what not.

    The only reason you should get rid of your current stack of miscelaneous silver, is to swap into current year silver pandas, these will have the best premiums in time compared to most silver coins out there. Sure price is slightly higher initially but percentage gains will be far more.

    The painful reality, unrecognized by most is this - it is far easier
    to position and hedge into extremes in CTFC-COT reporting than
    endlessly whine about the “Criminal” rigging taking place. It has been
    the layup trade of the past five years and counting. Hedging downside
    risk is a simply matter - there are a number of ways to accomplish this
    and yet rarely, if ever, is it discussed.
    There is nothing you or I can do about the actions within the stateside paper circus - other than accept delivery and offset our physical holdings with a pair.Hedge Funds had been near record long Silver until the 18th of April. Of late
    they have been thinning their positions - slowly.
    There has been no rush for the exits as Price has declined and yet Ag is down $1.50+ in
    relatively short order.
    The 200 DSMA was violated on April 25th with low volume.
    We can expect a further reduction in Longs this reporting period.Silver is vulnerable to further price declines, Gold should be saddling up for the same over the coming weeks as we enter the Month of May.
    For Sellers to be able to buy back their positions (Cover) - Volumes must
    increase dramatically as their remains stronger hands engaged on the
    Long Side.
    Consider what will be required to break their positions.
    On the opposing side of the trade - Physical delivery has been increasing, so much so it has exceeded delivery limits by 106%.
    I am watching Gold - the level has been set to 1236 - from there we
    simply watch the rules of the road. They will be followed regardless of
    the unending dramas purported by the Precious Metals Media Mafia.
    The usual suspects should be obvious by now.
    We are approaching resolution into August. A long hot summer for the
    metals lay ahead. Wild volatility and a great many surprises along the
    way will stub out the remaining embers of speculative whimsy and hope.
    This is precisely what is required to begin the next Bull Market in Precious Metals.If you are unable to offset your Long, hold your nose and wait for
    opportunity to accumulate. You make your money when you buy and collect
    when you sell.
    Selling your gains will be tempting along the way, people’s needs are very different when it comes to collecting. I suspect a great many will sell far too soon.
    It’s how it has played itself out time and again.

    New to this. What is the benefit of holding physical silver as oppose to an ETF or Futures contract?

      @themicmac88 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ron B. Watch my latest video's specially the 1 called "Why I'm buying Lunar Series Coins over Silver Eagles" I talk about the true facts of Silver. Good luck on your Precious Metal investment.

    • @knlazar08
      @knlazar08 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The benefit is that you only own something that you actually HAVE. If you buy into GLD, SLV, shares both senior and junior, futures contract, etc., all you are buying is the PROMISE from someone else that they will give you that item at some future date. IOWs, an IOU. And what good is that IOU if the issuer goes under? Have you ever tried to get a warranty honored after the company goes bankrupt? Have you ever tried to cash out an IOU after the issuer has died, or went insolvent? Promises are only worth what the issuer of that promise wishes them to be. That means that the value of the IOU that you hold, is only worth what HE wants it to be, at any given time. And that includes ZERO.
      On the other hand, physical metal that you have in your hand is always worth whatever you can sell it for, and never owes anything to anyone. In the trade, that is called" "no counterparty risk". The counterparty risk is that whoever made you that promise might not be around to fulfill it due to previous obligations to others, as well as to you. That is the risk that is inherent to any IOUs, or promises to pay up later.

    Silver stacking should only be done with an eye for the long term and it's not for the nervous. I have about half my savings going into a 401(k) and 1/4 in cash, and 1/4 in silver. I don't give a good rat's behind if it goes to $3. I'll simply buy more. There is no way it'll become as worthless as the GM preferred I had that shit the bed and is worth nothing today. If it's my heirs that see the major rise in its value, that's okay too. I love the stuff. I buy a certain amount every month and it grows at a steady pace.
    Oh, yeah...I think your title for this video is a cheap shit way to get viewers and I'll not look at anything else you put out.

    For the average investor NOW is the time to buy, prices are lower than they have been, the dollar is being devalued daily, and the economy is unstable at best. If you are a short term investor and like risk then yes wait to buy silver. 90% of the move occurs in the last 10% of the time. You can invest in more opportune situations that will make you more in the long run but the risk of loosing out is higher. For long term/prepper investments then buy NOW.

    honestly I'm losing faith in silver. look if you want to make any substantial cash IF it sky rocketed again which it might, you would need major weight to reap any real benefits. I'm talking 1000+ ounces, but with that initial investment of 20k, you could put it down on a rental property and quickly, and much more certainly reap benefits, especially today in this buyers market, I'm finding already rented condos and apartments for sale already occupied at 40-60k, atleast you can finance that comfortably, without to much worry

    Any time I have bought silver it has been between 14 and 17 dolloars . So I don't see what I could lose. And some of us don't stack for profit. I stack as insurance for a failing dollar. Also if you put money in the bank you are garenteed to lose value from inflation. The whole concept of the dollar only exists because of precious metals. Do your homework nay-sayers!

    I like people who put a hundred or more dollars into there 401k every month. They don't actually own anything physical. These same persons trust there investor to do all of the work and pick what stock they should buy. They don't monitor it and just trust that some day the stock they bought will be higher.
    Stocks win, stocks fall, that is life. Silver and gold go up and they do down. Silver & gold ARE stocks but with more benefits and lower risk. Plus you actually OWN something. I hope others DONT buy this way the prices stay low ans stock plentiful, its been very hard to find silver in my area.
