Here are all the Traductions of the messages on the wall and mostly are quotes from different peoples or books, I love you videos, keep up the good work 👏
Thankyou 👍👋😀bisous
It sounds like someone was taking notes for a poem or something. It’s a mystery
Thank you for this 🫶🏼
Wow, beautiful. Thank you 🙏🥰❤
Wow , great efforts explaining .. thanks😊
Hi from France ... In that room are a lot of french poetries.... "La fourmi et la cigale" voltaire etc.... What a crazy place... Stay safe everyone X love your videos. All the photos were all so "French" and well kept .. could of been hanging "Saucisson" to go with the 🍷 wine ... It's such a older traditional french house... Thank you for being so respectful xx
I was thinking they were poems! They certainly sound like it, and the way that they are written too!
@@Snubbullcraft yes for sure ... The names of the poet's were written underneath. The Google translate wasn't very good... But yes what a wonderful place ... Thank you for writing back x
Being a French speaker, knowing that pretty much all the writing on the walls are parts /sentences from books and known people, it is so funny to see you guys trying to understand and making scary stories about what happened to the people in this house 😅 There's nothing really negative in those quotes..
What do they say?
not in the quotes, but something bad dids happen
@@ahmedalfetlawi3777 someone (WeAreQueens) translated the whole thing in the comments already 😉
That's what I was thinking as I was listening to them 🤣 I'm not fluent by any means but my mom is and I've learned enough that I'm sitting here going "man this sounds a lot like poetry and quotes but I'm not 100%"
on the walls to be re-upholstered on the sunny trees on my obstinate 50 years I earid your name: laferte meaning thats what is says

Hi Josh 😊😊
ON THE WALLS IN KETAPISSER, ON THE SUNNY TREES ON MY OBSTINE 50 YEARS, I write your name: Laferté
HOW OLD IS THIS VIDEO? LOOKS COUPLE OF YEARS OLD.
Saw this already
🤣🤣🤣 Welp I can delete my earlier comments. My absolute apologies Josh, you do your homework and I've been following long enough to know that 💜💜
One of the quotes means “here, i don’t feel the loneliness who knows? Maybe I’m not really alone.” It gave me chills when I looked it up.
This one really hit me in the feels. It's amazing to see these places in France, being used to American explorations where everything is looted and often destroyed. Thank you for doing what you do and respecting the gift that it is to walk through someone's life after they've gone. Incredible.
I thought the same everything is still untouched very hard to find/see, especially in the u.s. people are quick to destroy abandoned places. Sad.
It's literally a time capsule!
@@tiffanysmith3210 I know! I think it's so amazing
Wouldn’t it be cool if someone could turn it into something special. Like a community center or a garden house for people to get together and make wonderful memories together. I feel this place has so much potential.
Honestly, I had my daughter go over a few of the writings on the wall. She's a French major. I couldn't wait for her to get a peek. There really wasn't anything creepy about what she was able to decider but a few sentences that seemed to express more loneliness or sadness .
(Shrugs) Thought I'd share my thoughts and findings. I will say that this particular house was absolutely exquisite !👌
Thanks for sharing, guys
Have a blessed day!
Amazing video Josh Dave and Seth what a beautiful place l believe the poor person who was locked in that room due to mental illness for protection not punishment as they need a quiet environment to rest it's very sad this has happened but many need to be taken away to get help and support the place is amazing love the tower ♥️👀🤗👍🇦🇺
This place is a mystery honestly the vibe I got was someone was suffering after a loss
i personally dont know whats going on with seth but WE NEED HIM BACK! thank u for including him in this video, tell him we miss him.
Hi from France guys !
Whoa I can tell you that some old people are still living in houses like these today, it's common here in our old villages.
The quotes are from famous poets. Nothing alarming, we learned them in school.
Thanks guys to be respectful, this place remind me my childhood with my grandma, those old stuff, the atmosphere.. I can almost smell those walls 😁
It is such a beautiful place. It would be so lovely to restore. I love the older homes. In the US, homes are made quickly and without the love and attention to details like they once were. ❤
OMGoodness Josh !! AMAZING VIDEO !! Thank you for showing us all of the photos of the house before, very BEAUTIFUL Home !! Love ❤️ from Homestead , Florida
Wish old photos were kept somewhere like a museum etc. so everyone could look at them and they don't just sit there and rot, they were important to those people, memories of life lived. So sad to see them just laying around. :(
Josh's hobby is the best hobby/side job out there right now. He is the most blessed person out here doing amazing things at times we are in right now. This world is going through it's changes as we speak, while Josh is discovering old history & uncovering new ones. I love Josh's channel even more. 🎀💙💚🎀😣
Ok, you can now wake up from your fantasy wet dream.
@@thestars386 Sorry my comment was a bit much. Sorry. But seriously, with all the bullshit happening in the world these days, I'd rather do a hobby like this right now.
The second message says "You have to believe, certainly believe in yourself."
It's my birthday today so happy to watch another amazing video ' you never disappoint!! Such beauty awesome video Josh. Thanks for sharing with us all
Coming from the UK and sending much love. Thank you for exploring the places some of us can only dream of going. I live vicariously through your travels and look forward to following you on your next adventure ❤ Another stunning find.
Hey Josh I wanted to let you know that somebody else actually did this house and did translate a lot of the dialect in the information Urban explorers actually went ahead and checked it out and they did a beautiful video on it I think you should go back and check them out about this house. There are translations as well. Love your videos keep on the right track!!!
What's the name of the people that did the other video? I'd like to check it out, this one was interesting.
Yea what's the link to that video 📹
Which channel?
he literally said Urban Explorers
@@saruzek Nothing came up when I searched Urban Explorers.
Hi Josh, so sad that she lived the rest of her life in an asylum, some great finds though in the house itself with the photographs and the baby carriage, they are all literally snapshots of a persons life. I loved that tower, it was awesome you got to see it, I bet the view was stunning back in the day when the house was built. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💞
This is what attracted me to your channel years ago Josh! I love the ghost hunting, but I don't usually seek that out specifically. Exploring abandoned places; I do seek these videos. Another great video! 👍👍Thank you! Thank you!👍👍👻🖤💙🖤💙☠🖤💙🖤💙👻
My native language is french. 6m20; Here, I don't feel the solitude. Maybe I am not REALLY alone? 6m26: We must believe, sure, believe in ourself. 6m31 On the walls to re-wallpaped, on the sunny trees, on my pigheaded 50 years, I write your name: 6m42; To the gregarious holiday, I prefer my familiar terrace. With or without sunscreen! It's a strenght of character thing, would have said La Bruyère.
Hope that gives you a better idea of what it's about. and at 6m52 it's from or inspired from a well known traditional tale.
My way of saying thanks for the videos 😀
Could really get the full affect with your mic Josh even on my phone could hear the sound moving left and right. Bet those magazines were worth money. Dope video thanks for sharing man.
LOVE seeing the three of you guys together! My top favorite TH-camrs actually probably the first I started watching back in 2016! Thank you for another great video!
this is insane like something you see out of a movie, the house and the quotes on the walls the history of this place is interesting and captivating. Thats why I love these videos they always tell stories just through exploration.
Thank you so much. Another beautiful Explorer. I appreciate all your hard work so incredibly much. You're simply the best at this. A million thank yous
What a beautiful building. Just so sad that it has been left to decay, taking all those memories by and secret history with it. At least you managed to capture and preserve the foundations before they become inhospitable.
the one that translated to "Here I don't feel loneliness, who knows maybe I'm not really sad, or not really alone" got me
Missed you, boys! So happy to share my Sundays with you. 🥰
What a wonderful house, I think she kept alone cause of her disorder and felt better alone but missed her family, she didnt want to shame her family but they cared and loved her and came to get her, with her disorder she kept her house neat she wrote her thoughts as if not to forget her life to let others know who she was thinking thoughts of many who lived in her head, I hope she found peace and got the help she needed, thanks for the adventures
Such a beautiful place!!The wallpapers, the secret closet doors, vintage radio 😍.. The tower is beautiful. Such an interesting and kinda tragic history in such a beautiful house. Great explore as always!
I think the word you're searching for is a "disappointments room." that's where they would lock up people with a learning disability, birth defect, or mental illness back in the day. There was a movie about it, but the real history of it was even much grimmer and nefarious than even the movie.
How sad to name it that.
Well done narrating on the history Josh
Josh, you are so inspiring keep up the great work I enjoy watching.. a fan, Kimberly
Josh you have amazing videos enjoy amazing places you go to keep up the hard work and I share your video with my husband stay safe and stay strong.
Dude your thought process of old photos before and after and the stories of how they lived long ago. We are on the same page I love it!! I always wonder how it would be to live long ago, 1800 to early 1900s per se. Idk life just seemed so easy going, and people in photos always seemed so happy.
As long as you don´t get to see the well from a bottom-view 😬 Oh how lovely to see a summeradventure! This is an amazing find guys!
The attention to detail and the respect you show to these stunning place is top notch
I think the lock being on the inside of the child bed closet room thing.. is to keep the "crazy" person out.. because when someone is going through psychosis due to Schizophrenia.. they might not sleep and they might be running around the house all through the night..
So maybe in order to protect a child who may also be living there.. maybe they had that special closet bed put in...especially since it seems to lock from the inside.
I immediately fell in love with this incredible house , hopefully someone will fully restore it
Such a great video love finding places like this!!
One of the quotes says "I am not in solitude. Why? Because I am never truly alone" 🥺
Another one says "around 6 o'clock in the morning the sky looks almost pink, almost red, almost blue amongst the brown. And the horizon is inevitable, and is an impressionist moment"
It seems that the quotes are nothing spooky, but exactly what a philosopher would write on their walls...if a philosopher was to write on their walls.
I loved and cracked up laughing at the comment "As a dad, you would never lock your child up in a small enclosed space like that...." at 20.19 mark.
Well, I wish my parents had thought like you....
Made my Sunday to see another video from you Josh. Be safe and careful. Love your videos and content Josh❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I could see a locked room, also, to protect someone who sleepwalked. It would give them the space to get up if needed, but protect them from leaving the home.
Being special ed myself I always wonder why we're always treated differently from normal people. We may be different but we deserve to be treated like everyone else. I have epilepsy along with a learning disability which makes me a slow learner than everyone else. I don't like being treated differently because I'm just like everyone else but I'm just sick. I just like saying I'm sick instead of saying I'm special ed or I have learning disabilities with a seizure disorder. I told my friend who I've been friends with for 20 years now that I hate being sick and that I wish I was just like everyone else. I wish everyone learned about us special ed kids and adults because we have feelings too and we hate being disrespected
You are a wonderful human ♥️
Omg, I love using the trees on steep hills or vertical walls to get somewhere lol.
Flowers on the tower, hahaha. It's wild wine 🙂 These are different verses by different people on the walls. "Il faut croire, certes, croire en soi" means: "Of course you have to believe in yourself" and it was written on that wall by F. Giroud. She was Minister of Culture in France and died in 2003. Then Paul Eluard, La Fontaine. All different lyricists. So if you guys are in France come by my timbered house from 1790 in Germany and check out my spirits here.
Always so happy to see a new video from you thanks for all the epic contents you go to the most epic places keep up the good work much love and respect to you be safe
I literally laughed out loud reading the door..
BUT! My favorite is just left of the green writing.
"Si Faut Croire, Certes, Croire En Soi."
- F. GiROUD
"If you have to believe, of course, Believe in yourself."
- F. GiROUD
Edit: The book at 26:40 has a cost range depending on state its in is anything between $10-$50 and yes its literally just a normal book about Mushrooms...
I was about to bed when suddenly your notification came and I lost my sleep. Now I feel like I'm not going to sleep at night, because I'm sitting here watching such a wonderful video of your. Your vlog makes my day. Always awesome. 👍🥰🥰😇😇😇😊😊🙂💖💖💗🥰🥰😇😇👍👍👍
I know he said that as a dad, you would never do that, but I don’t think he realizes back then a lot was different. Most young people do not realize just how different parenting was. It’s changed drastically even in the last 20 years. Things that people say are horrible now is the best parents knew to do at that time. I woman back then could have very well been the size of a teenager these days. You have to take everything in perspective. Times are way different.
This is amazing, Exploring is an art form and the photos you can capture when you explore just tell stories!
I've been on a binge of Josh's videos. I was looking at all the words written with my poor high school French skills and they all seem to be either quotes or excerpts from books... Nothing dark and grim like you guys were thinking. The LA FONTAINE version 2001 almost seems like something from a childrens book or something... says something along the lines of an ant asking a cicada if they still have their nose stuck in a book and the cicada telling the ant that it should learn to read since it will be of help. Nonetheless, great video guys
I think that the bed in the closet is actually a way to extend the space for guests. You close the door and it's a dining room, you open it and bam, spare bedroom. Since the closet has 2 doors, it's really common for one of them to have a lock up top to secure it. You close one door, lock it up (literally up, could also have something down) then close the other, never thought it's something European 😅
Great video as always and new merch looks great thank you
Hey Josh, how many more vids do have in the vaults from previous travels? A few things:
• LOCKED DOOR - The woman could have been Paranoid Schizophrenic. Maybe that's why she might have been locking herself in that room. The locks were interior not exterior.
• BOOTS - The boots may not have belonged to a child. Just because they are small, they may belong to the female who just had small feet. I wear a size 6.
• HYPOTHESIS - You guys are basing all of your assumptions on one pair of boots. You need to look at all of the evidence.
• PICTURE - The female in the school picture looked like the picture of the female who lived there.
Ok, stay safe and take care. 😇
Wow cool merch! Love the tarot death jumper love the colours josh done well ☮️✌️💙
Omg this was like a movie segment! Great job! Glad all of you (including Seth) ventured out to explore this Blair Witch project like home. Freaky abandonment.
3:39 Josh, the hat on the couch was the one that lady had in her hand in the picture.
The plants outside make the yard very pretty
Also I love your guy's videos
Love your France explores!
Love your channel, your videos are the best... Watching your channel from the beginning...Hello from Serbia...
Absolutely love your content Josh!!
The turret with the stone wall and wood roofong! Gold!!! Loved it 🤩
Awesome video, thank you for sharing.
Love the spooky vibes! Keep up the good work
I used to watch your videos years ago Josh. I just recently discovered your page again. I understand that the haunted videos get views , but not every upload has to be demonic. I used to love your more informative, positive videos. Now it seems like every thumbnail is either a pentagram or upside down cross. It’s hard to come back to that ..
with the before and after pictures made my heart ache knowing that was once a beautiful backyard the well right there is just overgrown
✨ In Pittsburgh my great grandmother in the 40’s locked and hid her son in the house because of him being special needs. My mom can remember coloring with him when he was older. He passed away in his 30’s 😢
Love your videos Josh u have inspired so many keep it up bro 🙌
Hi Josh what a lovely find it was awesome you said that just when I was writing the word .
Very Beautiful place thanks for sharing Josh safe travels 🤙🏻🚶🏻🏚️
Soo Amazing 🎉🎉🎉 Wish I could travel to....but I really love your videos... you've taken me to places I never thought I'd GO💕💕😇🤟🙌😘👋
Your merch is amazing 😍
as someone who understands french I was laughing when you guys thought the paint on the wall was something bad, just quotes from books etc.
Hey josh hope you're well bro
Cool exploring josh all the best seth 🇬🇧✌️
Bros of Decay did this house a few years ago, and i love it still..
You probably won't read this but Josh, I know you dont take things, but have you ever come across something that you didn't want to get destroyed by people or the environment that you couldn't leave behind? I would really struggle with that being a person who loves antiques and just cool stuff, lol.
I suspect that may be part of the reason he started to record, although maybe a small part. so you can see them time and time again but don't have to take them, and instead let them rest where they belong
Great stuff Great channel ❣️ 👏
Bro what!? I love abandoned places. This video hit home too hard for me. I feel a family connection in a weird way. I have ancestors in Europe. On my moms side tho. In my ancestry I am European. And i hope we can explore abandoned places together!!
That’s a awesome windbreaker jacket, love the hoodie, you should sign your name signature on them all, love ya Josh from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦. Love your videos
This content keeps me going 🙌🏻
As someone who is becoming fluent in french, its nothing all that creepy, just mostly poems:))
Ok before I even watch this I have to say that this thumbnail is amazing!
I’m not ganna lie I didn’t notice Seth for the longest time 😂 but love the vid josh
You need to explore with Chase Borden, & Seth. The three of you go to Lizzie Borden's House for an epic explore.
Nice josh, ❤
There is one in Spanish that reads "A Quien Madruga Dios Lo Ayuda" which means in English, "Those who wake up early God helps" that's the only quote on the walls that was in Spanish. Hope this helps.
Love the new merch!
Great video ❤
Damn I'd be one of the ones locked away 😱
I love your passion for what you do and the video
What doesn’t make sense is the paint on the walls are peeling and all the words seem new.
💯
Did I miss, no clear picture of the house outside.. Very curious with the tower.. Still, Great video..
Thought this seemed familiar, I watched it on Dan's channel exploring with fighter's age's ago, How you only now uploading it?
**MMMM snail food**** hahhaha Gotta love ya Josh xx ((id love this to be PINNED to the top ))
This would be a photographers dream find!🔥🔥
The fifth one: "So, still the nose in books?" asked the ant to the cicada, "Not at all, I painted the whole summer perched on the escabeanu! -You are done become reasonable -Certainly. But you, learn to read, believe me, it can always be useful... ...
