I noticed that version v2 is also another implementation. Plastic is different from the previous version (even if it is black). Black keys are also matt. The display is different (brighter). I saw both versions in the store and found that the new one is better quality.

The one I got yesterday doesn't sound any better than mt Yamaha P155's on board speakers. Guess I need to figure out how to spend more money to get a sound that even close. Studio monitors & headphones wasn't even close. That can't be out of the box sound without a s/load of high end audio equipment helping to make the sale.
No, not really. You can edit them (reverb etc.) but not create new ones. The great thing about layers is that you can mix piano with drums or other sounds and create completely new combinations.

Thanks a lot for the demo. How would you compare the MX ii to the Juno DS and the Kross 2 (if you had the chance to play it already) as far as acoustic pianos, epianos / wurlitzers are concerned?
Acoustic piano isn't a strength of the Kross to begin with, so then it is a toss up between the Juno and MX for that. Some folks like one better over the other, it varies from one person to the next. Kross has the edge in EPs. MX only has the edge in DX7 EP, I think. I think that the MX sounds a bit more natural for acoustic piano, but lower fidelity than the Juno. They are all very different beasts beyond their sounds, though. Yamaha's P-125 has them all completely beat at acoustic piano and EPs if just the sounds are your main concern. Otherwise, one is a real standalone composer's keyboard/workstation (Kross), two are great general performance 'boards (Juno and Kross), then the MX's advantage is Cubase integration, seemingly.

Of course. You can connect another keyboard with Midi and play it through it.

I change nothing! It´s the pure Sound, taken in the Line-In of my Videocamera...
