Judith getting HIV really shows how malignant and intentionally evil Harley was because no way he didn't know that he was positive. He is self-destructive and like Judith said, he seemingly has mommy issues. To me, it feels like he's taking all his hatred and issues towards his mother out on the women he dates. Because it's not like he really wanted Judith, he just wanted to feel the rush of power that comes with destroying her and bringing her down to his level.

Started watching CinePals around December and the dynamic between you two is perfection! Michael is sassily discerning and always sees through characters and their BS very quickly, whereas Jabby leans more empathetic and connects with the emotional lives of the characters, making sense of the human-ness of their stories even when we want to throttle them. Always love to hear what your take is. Your POVs are so entertaining and I always look forward to these. Great work!
I think we aren’t supposed to fully be on Judith’s team. BUT 100% Lance getting out the shower with the shirt off was for the ladies. Lance Gross was the Tyler Perry movie/show “heart throb” at the time.
We just gotta keep tuesdays for Tyler Perry hahaha. So much content. From the plays now and then I highly recommend his shows next. Especially “Have and have nots” eventually.
They don't want JUST Tyler Perry ya'll are lowkey limiting them with our movies we have so much more than dysfunctional families and Tyler Perry films lol
The reason why Judith didn't get herself out of the situation with Harley is because she was tired of being the good girl & wanted the excitement. Note her continuous references to her strict Christian upbringing. Also the reason Judith had to go so indepth telling her story and the HIV diagnosis is because so many times we have light and heavy warnings about situations that scare us away from the wrong path. But the scare or "ah huh" only last momentarily. Maybe this young lady in Judith office needed to be walked down the path of what her life could turn into and how that man will move on without her. In essence, she needed more than an 80/20 speech for effective change.
I believe the older Judith is being played by Jurnee's older sister in real life. Jurnee and all her siblings had a show on ABC in th early 90s. Also, her brother is the infamous Jusse Smollett who played on Empire and ruined his own acting career!
Jurnee’s only sister’s name is Jazz, and that’s not her. It was great casting though. Idk why she didn’t play the older Judith when they used the same man to play the husband.🤷🏾♀️
I never clicked so fast. Michael with the facial hair 😂 Oh my lol it actually looks good on you brother. He's been daddy but now he's officially daddy hahahahaha glad to see my favorite duo is back to review one of the best Tyler Perry movies.
I think showing her husband (lance gross) in that manner drove home the point further that she really wasn’t missing anything because her husband was just as attractive but she was distracted by how alluring the next guy was. And it shows how we can be so blinded by toxicity that we over look the grass in our own yard.
Michael after watching this move, buys flowers for his wife, set thirteen reminders of his wife birthday, still forgets their anniversary, has existential crisis🤣
Bringing comedic moments to dramas is one of this dynamic duos super power because the way I holler at some of the observations & commentary... truly a joy!

Great work!
Sassily?
Boomerang
What’s Love Got to do with it
The Five Heartbeats
Good Deeds
I think we aren’t supposed to fully be on Judith’s team. BUT 100% Lance getting out the shower with the shirt off was for the ladies. Lance Gross was the Tyler Perry movie/show “heart throb” at the time.
Ripped, wet and/or oily men is a Tyler Perry production staple
👀
Winston Jerome - The Boondocks 😎
We just gotta keep tuesdays for Tyler Perry hahaha. So much content. From the plays now and then I highly recommend his shows next. Especially “Have and have nots” eventually.
That show was soooo JUICCYYY
This need to be the last Tyler Perry movie cause they got a lot of plays to catch up on but they'll have to start from the beginning
They don't want JUST Tyler Perry ya'll are lowkey limiting them with our movies we have so much more than dysfunctional families and Tyler Perry films lol
Please do more than TP I can't take it! 😂
There are a bunch of really good black films not made by TP. Boomerang, New Jack City, Brown Sugar, The Wood… the list goes on and on!!!
59:25 yes it was a play before the movie
I look forward to these every Tuesday!!
Oh wow
Jurnee’s only sister’s name is Jazz, and that’s not her. It was great casting though. Idk why she didn’t play the older Judith when they used the same man to play the husband.🤷🏾♀️
Jurnee Smollet is such a great actress you guys should watch other movies she played in.
19:39 "but my body, my body is telling me yeeeeeeees!"😂😂😂🔥
Is that the jazz song from Diary of a Mad Black Woman?😂
@@naledit_official 😂 I said I never heard that rendition of R. Kelly’s song before
Love how Jaby fixed what was wrong. Now that’s real film criticism.
Now y’all should watch Marriage Counselor: The Play!
Yep
I never clicked so fast. Michael with the facial hair 😂 Oh my lol it actually looks good on you brother. He's been daddy but now he's officially daddy hahahahaha glad to see my favorite duo is back to review one of the best Tyler Perry movies.
Ok, now we're getting into the goofy Tyler Perry movies. Its hit or miss from here.😂😂
It's been a miss since they reacted to Boo lol. I hate the newer Tyler Perry movies, especially A Madea Christmas.
New culpa and divorce in the black are complete misses 😂
I think showing her husband (lance gross) in that manner drove home the point further that she really wasn’t missing anything because her husband was just as attractive but she was distracted by how alluring the next guy was. And it shows how we can be so blinded by toxicity that we over look the grass in our own yard.
This has got to be their funniest commentary BY FAR 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yaaay!!! So Glad you guys are back ❤❤ 😁😁 this made my night !! 😊
This is insane.I literally just said yesterday, " I hope they do temptation tomorrow!" OH MY GOSH ❤😂
The play version is PHENOMENAL
They need to start showing the plays
Michael after watching this move, buys flowers for his wife, set thirteen reminders of his wife birthday, still forgets their anniversary, has existential crisis🤣
Bringing comedic moments to dramas is one of this dynamic duos super power because the way I holler at some of the observations & commentary... truly a joy!
Eve’s bayou is a good next step for a journee smollett journey. The beard on Michael looks great!
Woot woot! My favorite duo back in action & my 2025 can officially start. Congrats on the new baby, Michael!❤
I was waiting for this one lol. This was a really good movie. I'm still amazed that Judith is played by two different people. The older woman looks so much like her.
FINALLY, in my opinion, THE best Tyler Perry film
MICHAEL!!! I actually screamed. Hope your baby and your wife are perfect 🤍
I love this movie let’s goooooo
This line was such a wtf moment and his reaction cracks me up 😂 54:04
Finally!!! I recommend this so many times! Love y’all from 🇳🇬
yessss thank you for posting this videooooo !!!!! I requested this a couple weeks ago and I’m so freaking excited. This is one of (in my opinion) his better films, it feels so much more real than Acrimony or the other TP films !!!! 🙂↕️ yessss yall are my fav duo on CinePals!!!!! thanks thanks thanks for doing this one!
OH MY FREAKING GOSH!!! I’ve wanted you guys to react to movie!! I watched this when I was in middle school and it scarred me for life lol😭 I will never cheat but this just solidified that I will NEVERRR cheat💀
Jurnee Smollett was a crush of mine growing up. Her acting is phenomenal. Loved her since Eve's Bayou
The play is a musical and they actually stick pretty close to the movie compared to others, there are some changes, but I promise you'll love the play its hilarious
The way I RAN to the play button 🙌🏾
"Get the guitar”😂
Our duo is back and Gosh Michael I love how quick you caught on to Harley's game. Kinda loved that this was the movie return for you guys, because this caused alot of debate. Would love to see you guys watch Devils Wears Prada. I do hope you guys get to some other classics like Brown Sugar (i feel like jaby will laugh at that one), What's Love got to do with it and Waiting to Exhale.
Another great Jurnee Smollet movie is called Eve's Bayou. Think black family drama with a touch of voodoo and horror. Its set in my home state of Louisiana and I love showing people that movie. Jurnee has been a strong actor since she was a kid.
And thank you for pointing out that Harley and Judith’s first sexual encounter wasn’t fully consensual. I feel like a lot of people completely overlook that aspect when they watch this movie.
I opened youtube on my phone thinking I might watch a quick short video or two... saw this on my homepage and had to open up my laptop
I don’t even look at the what you’re reacting to anymore 😭 I just CLICK if I see you both!
I love how you guys immediately catch on to all the icks and analyzing the performances with each character.
