I live in Cleveland and use to play guitar in a Gothic band called Taliesin Echoes. My vocalist, Theo Johnson, almost got a speaking role in this movie, playing someone who worked at the bar. At 1st he was just supposed to be an extra with no lines. His agent told him, before filming started, that they wanted him to try out for a scene where he'd respond to some question that John Travolta asked him as he was coming in the bar. So my vocalist was released from just being a background extra and made it to the second round of readings for the part before it was given to someone else, so he ended up losing both roles.
