Di, be patient, wait for some months, to let this issue resolve, then take a call. It is ok that u dont go to canada also. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise., I always feel that you should consider staying in Dubai only. UK is a good change for a while, but long run for kids stay in Dubai and then go to canada only if you are sure that is for you. If i was in your place i would think of these things - 1. Firstly Canada is far away and it is cold. Northen states of América and Canada has minimum 4 months of very cold winter. Mid Nov to Mar it will be forzen, daylight will be 5-6 hrs and it will be dark, cold and frozen. it mentally impacts us, as we are used to warm weather, sunlight and not used to -25, -30 degrees temp. Adjust kar lete hai log, but its a diificult transition. 2. You will be away from our culture and our country. Dubai is easy to come here and go back easier than Canada. Emergency situation, or anywhere u want to go u will need to travel a lot. Not only is it expensive but it is cumbersome and time consuming. 1-2 days pohchte hi lag jatey hai. 3. Immigrants from war torn countries have changed the dynamic there was 5-10 yrs back, there is a lot more homelessness, crime, unemployment and class divide. be prepared for that. downtown areas in cities like Toronto, vancouver, calgary, are not safe after sundown at all. A lot of drugs, alcohol, crimes are there. 4. Agreed that citizens get lots of benefits like good school, healthcare system free, but, u need to take appointment for months even if you have a headache, to benefit the system. else UC is expensive. Till now you have lived in dubai tax free, canada u will pay nearly 40-50% tax on income at source. Be prepared for that (yes, your you tube income will get taxed too) thats why in the US a lot of yt move to texas where taxes are better. 5. Dubai has somewhat similarities and its easier to be there. Dubai has benefits of language (sab log hindi samajh ya bol hi letey hai), religion, culture and a lot of saftey, no crimes // saftey for women and girls. Mixed benefits of western connivences +eastern values. As kids grow you will notice how very important it is. In Canada and US there is no control on the kids once they go to high school. Even if you raise the kids well, and your kids are well behaved, they will face fitment issues due to peer pressure and ostracization as the culture is that, of partying, prom, drinking etc. 6. For me a game changer between Europe / Middle east & Asia is the bathroom facilities - you know what I mean right :-) even though i am just a tourist when i go there, i am miserable due to this. In any case dont take stress, the whole political issue will blow over. Will you not go to UK anymore ? I think all your stuff is in UK right , there is still time to figure out things.
