  • Please disregard the dramatic music. It’s how I felt when I sailed into camp one.

This was nice! There appeared to be more variety than I saw in your vid of a different year.

It’s a Bolger folding schooner. Here is a link to another video of it taking out a friend of mine at about the 11 minute mark. th-cam.com/video/dIx4wDsTPGc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cuQ_OCpXYj82M5xN

I would love to have more info on the sailboat at 3:11! So beautifull...

Not sure if this is exactly correct but I believe the gentleman said it was a Canadian coast guard vessel that he converted to a sailboat. All of the rigging was very traditional. The boat was absolutely beautiful.

Wow, a huge variety of designs in the fleet!
Is that a Bolger Folding Schooner you panned by! Please, please see if you can catch it on video under full sail.

What kind of boat is that at 2:21? BTW, I love the music!

The owner told me what it was but I can’t remember there were so many boats there. Maybe one of the club members can let us know. I think it’s the same boat that’s in the thumbnail.

That boat at 2:21 is mine, homebuilt lug yawl. I call her Howdy. No plans, i just winged it in 2014. Mainsail is exact sail plan of the clc faering cruiser. Mostly strip built, kevlar inside, a layer of plascore material, and glass outside. Ive only just seen this video, not sure how i missed it. My dad and i came down to TX this year. Weather was great, wind direction sucked. Same as my first 200 in 2019!

@@WMichaelDeJonge thanks! She pass a 20' test, but lots of blobs of epoxy and additions and rework etc. Had lots of fun on the build. Wife and sailed a piece of the maine island trail, and around the North Channel of Lake Huron, Apostle Islands a few years ago. With an old 29er dagger board and a well cut sail she does beat to windward quite well. Dad and I did a horizon job on the hobie TI fleet this year

@@blaircowan8586 20’ finish job is good enough for me, just as long as I’m sailing. It sounds like maybe you should pretty up the stern to give the AI’s something nice to look at! Haha!
