Thanks George for your reply. Here in Guyana cane sugar is the biggest agri export earner. The sugar industry for very many decades used to use crawler type machines to prepare the ridge and furrow beds to plant sugar cane. And it was a success. Now they are using wheeled tractors. And the job is not done good.Anyways, all the best in your farming endeavours.Cheers from Guyana.
Nice video hade a question why not use a bigger tractor like a john deere 9520 or case steiger tractor the guys around here that still plow use bigger tractors like that I live in usa ohio and the man that farms my grandparents I help when needed we usually wait till ground is frozen and or dryer I get the some fields only way to dry them but even I have limits I know people rag on your fastrac but they are nice most guys around here are big dairy farmers or custom silage guys and either use them to haul silage Wagons or manure spreaders . Anyway keep up good videos
Thankyou adogman, That is currently the biggest tractor we posses, i would love to have used a big JD or steiger if we had one, but in general much smaller kit is used than you have over there as we haven't got as much room. In 2012 when this was taken it was an exceptionally wet year and there didn't appear that there was going to be any let up in the weather. Thank you for your comments.
I have watched several videos the last couple of days with people plowing. I have to ask why everyone seems to be plowing in such wet ground? Why not wait till it dries up some more?
not giving you stick because i know that fastracs are a real good tractor and me driving deere's maybe doesnt appeal to you. But all i'm saying is fastracs aren't really the best for ploughing but if that's all you've got and you either do a lot of road-work or moving from field to field over long distances they are ideal. just my opinion, too light on the back!

I quite agree Jason.
What exactly is it then, i believe the stubble has been buried.
Its a 6.7L Cummins rated at 230 HP
That they are 7485D. I'm not sure many people agree with us though lol.
If we had one i would definitely have been using it, there wouldn't have been any wheelslip then!
Hi, This is near Sandy in Bedfordshire.
I love the sound of tht Cummins George
That headland took some moving!
why are you plowing such wet ground?
Fastrac's aren't for everyone thats for sure, but they suit our business very well

How long have been into ploughing?
What engine is fitted in this tractor?
Never tried or can't drive them. That's their problem. Swap JD, Massey or whatever for a fazza. Comfy to drive and british built.
The best tractor in my opinion best for contractor's
Track marshall conditions, nice sounding machine tho
That's some sticky tough land.fastrac sounds nice not the tractor for me tho

when they wait land has dried faster if you know what I mean :)
Love the sound
Should have tried a Marshall track type tractor
Aye she was a bit wet and a bit heavy !
I thought JCB fastrac's had a weak gearbox
She does sound pretty tasty.
About the only good thing about this video is the cummins engine sound
nice engine note
George he probably dosent know what ploughing is he probably dose direct drilling
Wouldn't have that tractor anywhere near my fields. Too much slip compacting the soil.
Proper way to farm
old ones are shit at it haha 8250 is quite good new wheel design
