Trudeau and Freeland again and again, told us that Canadian economy is burning hot, and we never had it better.
Why would BOC cut rates when everything is so amazing?

Stop it with urging a fast rate cut cycle. You all just don't want to pay more than 2% when your mortgage renews!

People shouldn't have overspent on a box. They all got suckered in by real-estate agents and greedy sellers. No one told these people to buy overpriced homes.

Thank you. This is all about these people not wanting their mortgages to renew at more reasonable interest levels. This free debt cycle is half the reason we're in this mess.

@@BnMProductions11 Right. It was abused. As a FTHB I got my rate at 5.14% last year - I will never shed a tear for people renewing who got to enjoy unimaginably low rates.

I see the rising interest rate as a very big problem, as more investors will definitely pull out more money from the Stock market. This might have worked when I was still invest-ing with a couple thousand dollars, but it is more difficult now to decide whether to pull out more than $365k from my port-folio. I know some inves-tors still make that despite the strong bear market. In wish I could pull that feat

I think the whole thing about holding stocks for long term will always apply. So I think you should get a quality broker who is able to analyze and pick stocks that will do well in the long term, else you will be in a long bear ride.

You have a very valid point, I started investing on my own and for a long time, the market was really ripping me off. I decided to hire a broker, even though I was skeptical at first, and I beat the market by more than 9%. I thought it was a fluke until it happened two years in a row, and so I’ve been sticking to investing via an analyst.

This sound interesting. I’m not really one to use pro analysts, but I guess it would not hurt to try one. My portfolio is in the red waters right now

Certainly, there are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Melissa Terri Swayne” for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
