Can PhotoScape X be used to Tether for realtime shooting? This would be an AMAZING tool with that feature. In case it matters, I shoot with Nikon D800.
I've been using this program (Pro version) for roughly 6 months now. I'm running into an issue that you may be able to offer some advice. When saving RAW images to JPEG on my Macbook...the JPEG image is saturated with tones that I didn't want in my edit. It's quite frustrating. How can I tell my Macbook to not further "enhance" the image when saving from PhotoScape X???
I'm not sure why you are having this issue. Under each tab (with the exception of the first one, Photoscape X, you should see on the left hand side, the ability to access your pictures folder or any folder on your hard drive, as well as any external devices.
Thanks for posting. I have to agree that Photoscape X is very good at adjusting images, but am amazed and disappointed that there are no "LAYERS" or other means to keep or discard various adjustments made. What an amazing program not to be able to do that. I saw one other TH-cam tutorial where the instructor was using objects and layers in some version, but if it is available in Photoscape X version 2.5, it must be completely invisible (not even mentioned in the help menu search). Frustrating.
Meanwhile, I will just struggle along with Lightroom CC, obviously a great application but has its own downsides in terms of the consumption of time and the OFTEN very frustrating catalog and file "mess" forced upon the user; the learning curve for file handling has never been conquered by me - so complex! - yet the tools are generally easy to use.
yes it comes with ton of features with a free version. But as i try to make a time lapse video i need that feature that i mentioned before. Otherwise i need to edit each photo one by one.

I have JUST downloaded the app and had already renamed MOST of the files that I want, however, there are still about 20 that I need to rename individually, so that I know where to use them in a blog post I am writing. I couldn't seem to figure out how to rename just one file.....
Is there a way to favorite, tag, otherwise mark photos (single photo, not a whole folder) as you are looking through them? I switched to Photoscape X from Picasa and for a workflow it was very hand to be able to star photos as I go along. Or put them in an album. I can't see anyway to flag or sort a photo other than create an entirely new folder and move the file. Any tips?

under each photo in Viewer mode, there's a Check mark box, you can check that to select that photo. The rating system (like 1, 2, 3,...) is available in Pro version, I think.

clhagin Select “save” bottom right. In the dialogue window, select the “save to” option. To change the location select the 3dot icon to browse to another location. Select “save as” to save it

Under "edit" and "adjustments" you will find a bunch of adjustment tools, including one for "curves"

When i first downloaded the app, i only allowed it access to my one drive.. how do i change the preferences to now allow it to access photos too??

Yes. Relatively speaking, the app is quite affordable and comes with a ton of features! It's probably the best deal in the App Store.

If you are unable to use the batch feature with the free version, I can assure you that it does work with the Pro version.

Oh, I just figured it out.... Select the photo, right click, and choose "Rename." Thanks for all the other super helpful info! :)

Yes, under the Viewer tab, you can designate files as "favorites" by selecting the star icon
