At the risk of sounding old, it cannot be denied that they simply don't make music like this anymore. I've seen Kenny and Jim in concert several times now, and not only are they both extremely talented, but ALL of the musicians in the band are nothing less than top notch. Don't pass up any opportunity to see these guys if you ever get one!

The world's most underrated guitar virtuoso, Jim Messina. Simply perfect.

I was 9 years old when my brother gave me my 1st Loggins and Messina album. I've been in love every since. Amazing music!! Amazing musicians!! I'm in my happy place tonight!!

The Eagles may have more popularity in terms of record sales, but in the long run these two guys have so much more musican depth and worthy of taking their music as the top ten works to an island

If Kenny logins and Jim Messina aren't in the Rock and Roll hall of Fame, they both surely should be! ❤️

Jim Messina was a touch of gold for Buffalo Springfield, Poco, and Loggins and Messina.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

When I first heard your music, It was my favorite. 50 some years later still the best, so calming so peaceful...needed well absolutely. God Bless.

So, so glad I grew up in the '70s. So much of the music was just so great. This concert is proof. And I'm AMAZED at how great they sound here--just like they did in the early-mid 70s. Incredible performances. Many thanks for posting!

So often a live performance cannot begin to measure up to the studio work, especially when those comparative studio recordings are exceptional in both sound quality and performance, credited in large measure to Jim Messina. And yet here we have both qualities in a live performance to such a degree that one can even suggest these live versions of the studio songs sound as good if not better that those on the LP, and the performances are equal or better than the controlled studio work. Absolutely astounding. I just love those early albums of these two great artists, and yet here these performances belong equally well next to my studio albums. I sure hope this concert is available on DVD or Blu-ray.

Individually, these two men are artists in their own right, together they're magic. Time stops, continents cease to drift, peace abounds, anythng and everything is possible.

  • @wallisliss

Thank the Universe for the magic these two and the musicians that played with them made. Now Im 67, and its a million years since I was 18 listening to the L & M band live here in So-Cal. My State has gone evil, and I long for those more peacful times. Time trippin' sigh.

This is what separates the musicians from the wannabe's no pyrotechnics,

  • @Jeffindsm

Whoever was in charge of this recording did a good job.

  • @loribadgero1035

Prime example of why the music of the 70’s ruled the generations! Kenny Loggins’ voice, on top of the musical excellence, was simply frosting on the cake. Thank you for uploading this!!

Man, Messina is clearly the leader and cooks. A totally natural guitarist. Better with age.
