- I've said it before and I'll say it again. You need to face your fears and step out of your comfort zone to succeed and be happy + healthy. So this week I jumped into a cockpit of a plane, played with scorpions, and looked super silly on the golf course.
I hope you guys can tell I'm super nervous throughout this video because I am truly afraid of all of these tasks. I also have to give a huge thank you to the folks at Kissimmee Florida for organizing all of these amazing activities for me and letting me conquer my fears all in one weekend!!! I put links down below for all of the activists you saw in this video so you too can reap the benefits of stepping outside of your comfort zone.

My boy, Koda, who was my best snake, helped so many people overcome their fear of snakes. He truly was the best boy and was just so curious and friendly. I was so happy to see how comfortable you were starting to get with that Burmese.
4:20 I've heard this advice related to social anxiety too. That people are afraid of a negative experience or leaving a negative impression, but mostly that's just in your head and a way to start to deal with that is something simple like asking a stranger for directions or trying to attend a group related to something that interests you like a hiking group, softball, kitting, book club, etc.

I realize that I simply accepted the fact that Dr. Mike knows how to fly a plane- no questions asked.
Very inspiring 💕 sometimes I try getting out of my comfort zones but sometimes I tend to stay in them but it’s nice seeing you go out of your comfort zone and doing new things or things you wouldn’t usually do it makes me or even any person happy because it’s letting people know it’s okay to try

This was an awesome video to see! And I agree, the pandemic taught me about feeling comfortable for too long causing problems. I’ve felt so comfortable not leaving my own home for school that when we occasionally had in person school, I would get panicked because of the fear of being outside of my home and something possibly going wrong. It’s awful

My fear of heights has a mind of its own. One day I can stand on a ridiculously tall building just fine, another day I can't even ride a ferris wheel. That fear is one I actually do face by riding roller coasters or ziplines or standing on a platform with a glass floor looking down a cliff. The waiting is usually the worst part but most days I do something like this it feels great. I bet Mike was quite anxious before he was in the air but once you're there it's okay. On a different note I could never touch a spider. I know they're harmless and non-poisonous where I live but no thank you! That is a fear I am fine with having and not ever facing.

Honestly the groin kicking goat, alpaca, Chilean tarantula and scorpion were the cutest.
I have so many phobias...fear of heights, fear of close rooms, hydrophobia, fear of caterpillars, fear of insects, snake, fear of hanging around with strangers and so on.....I don't know when do I can overcome these...it restricted my happiness around a little space😔

I recently discovered Doctor Mike and have fallen down a Doctor Mike TH-cam rabbit hole lol, and I admire him being able to do this, but id draw the line at the snake, I have no idea why I'm so scared of them as in NZ we don't have them, but I'm good without them lol. My fears I am working on right now are a little more simple, having been unwell with lupus and fibromyalgia all of my adult life, at 37 I am finally studying for my psychology diploma ( very scared of failing and not being good enough or smart enough) and I am hoping to be able to use this and some health coach courses to help others who have health issues like mine and try to help them navigate the journey a bit easier. going to take time but I'm up for the challenge, maybe after that ill work on some other fears haha

Literally the only difference is that the poison is used specifically for attack and venom for defence. Doesn't say anything about potency and mean much if you provoke a defensive reaction.
@@karolnowak6423 No man, the difference is in method of delivery. Poison requires that you touch or ingest it, like with poison dart frogs, and also that is why you say food poisoning for example. Venom requires that you are bitten or stung, as with snakes, scorpions, bees... By the way, venom can be both attack and defense mechanism because it can be used to kill or incapacitate prey, or as a defense against predators. Poison is primarily defense mechanism, sometimes not even that, because animal or plant is not producing it to harm anybody, simply you are intolerant of some substance and thus it's poison to you.
In chile we called them araña pollito = chic spider
Tarantulas like that one, have the same kind of "venom" we have in our stomachs. Spiders are actually venomous, tarantulas not really. Its more of a stomach acid. Its not to kill there prey. Its to digest there prey outside of them so they can pretty much drink there prey. I feel like i have enough experience, currently owning 12 tarantulas and two spiders.

yes yes yes to the message of this video. my personal experience: when i was 15 i was anxious and honestly probably mildly depressed, and i thought my parents were gonna make everything even worse by wanting me to get a job (i started working in a restaurant), but i did it, and of course this is not the whole story, but i got so much better. i didn't really e n j o y the work, but i guess it just did a lot for my brain (that short term stress that mike was talking about) and improved my social skills and made me more confident and so much more

Tbh my fear is something that I'll have to overcome no matter what, and, it sounds stupid considering that everyone with a vagina has to go through this, but it's actually getting a pelvic exam and a pap smear.
I was sexually assaulted in high school, so being vulnerable in that way is very difficult for me, and for good reason, but I've finally found an absolute saint of a nurse practitioner and I feel like I can really open up to her and place my trust in her and her staff.
My last OBGYN was so rude and pushy and actually told me that I should starve myself to lose weight (which, btw, is not what you say to someone who has had an eating disorder and a history of major depression).
I'm going to face this fear for the good of my health, and then I'll hopefully realize that it wasn't so terrible at all.
Still, can't wait for Yona to release their speculum redesign (featuring 3 blades, single-handed operation, and surgical grade silicone over steel which can be put into an autoclave) and for it to take off, because that could really take a lot of the fear out of a visit, not to mention the current speculum was created by a mass-murderer and hasn't been updated in nearly 200 years.
