lol Not that anyone cares, but I had to clarify that it seemed pretty clear that Merry was truly injured and passed out when Pippin was telling the Uruk-hai he needed medicine. The only reason Merry told Pip it was 'all an act' was because Pippin was innocent and terrified. He didn't want to put even more fear in his younger cousin's mind so he acted stronger than he was. That's part of what makes that scene so endearing. Pippin always believes in whatever Merry tells him and you see the relief on his face as Merry tells him, "See? Fooled you too." 🥺

The internet is kind of a terrible source for lotr trivia cause lots is distorted by the movies slightly changing things.
Déagol is not Sméagols brother, it just says friend. Theres much less in the book but I like it as much as the movie.
In chapter 2 (the shadow of the past) of book 1 of fellowship it says:
“He had a friend called Déagol, of similar sort, sharper-eyed but not so quick and strong.”
Its a total of one page and ends with them verbally fighting then “…and he caught Déagol by the throat and and strangled him, because the gold looked so bright and beautiful. Then he put the ring on his finger.”
Brutal!
In the Animated LOTR movie in 1978, Anthony Daniels aka C3PO plays Legolas!
The riddle at the end was the best part of the show. I figured out the answer in a few seconds but it was hilarious to see them working it out 😂

Legolas in the BBC Dramatization was played by David Collings who played Bob Cratchit in Scrooge (1970) and Aragorn was played by Robert Stephens who is the father of Toby Stephens (Black Sails)

Regarding the Genius thing. We often confuse 'being excellent' and being a 'genius'. Federer is a genius, Djokovic is excellent. The school system breeds excellent students but often discourages those that have the potential for geniuses, unless the geniuses can navigate the school system well.

Dom and Bills, I just want to say that I love that you're willing to discuss these conspiracies and be open to other opinions outside your own. In a world where people are increasingly unable to state their opinion without being destroyed by peers, I think it's great that you're so open-minded. In reality, nobody knows everything for sure. I think it shows how intelligent the two of you are.
Anthony Daniels played Legolas in the Ralph Bakshi animated feature of Lord of the Rings. Also in that film, John Hurt was Aragorn, among others. Annette Crosbie was Galadriel in that film, too. In the BBC radio dramatisation, Robert Stephens was Aragorn, Bill Nighy was Sam. Oh, & Richard O'Callaghan was Merry, with John McAndrew as Pippin.
In the broadcast of LOTR, with Ian Holme as Frodo. Aragorn was by Robert Steven’s. And Bill Nighy was Sam and Legolas was by David Connels,, I go to sleep to it near every night.😊

I’ve found that all the questions they ask are normally really easy
I just wish they would have someone proof read them or maybe let a fan make the quiz because they always have so many errors and not even good options for answers. I just read them last couple weeks again and someone says the thing about gandalf on a white oliphant but its definitely not outside moria. Cause its after he falls otherwise why would frodo wish that.
I think sam says something in two towers when they are near to meeting faramir.
@@TheEwmoon I'm afraid Sam has never said anything about white oliphaunts being ridden by Gandalf in any of the books. But I did find the passage where Johnny got his clue. It's not outside Moria but outside the Black Gates of Mordor. After Sam recites the poem to Gollum, Frodo laughs and then says the quote.

About Tim Curry movies. Please look up - Oscar! This is a hugely underrated amazing satire comedy which is a surprise as Sylvester Stallone in a comedic role . Tim Curry in this movie as Dr Poole. An Elecutioner trying to teach Stallone how to speak properly. Oscar is hilarious from start to finish.

I had a friend who was absolutely adamant 9/11 never happened and that the planes were hollow-grams that never existed. Thankfully i no longer speak to that person. P/S gollum and deagol were cousins not brothers
I had a coworker who said the same and it was unbearable... he'd go off about it and there was just no escaping the conversation. I would call the restaurant we worked at from my cell phone and have pretend conversations/make fake orders just to get out of talking to him about it. And it was all conspiracies all the time... it was rough. I left that place and lost touch and can't imagine what the last few years were like for him.
