There is something very special about Jamaicans, and no one is talking about it. And it is not only in sports. That island has produced world leaders in politics, theology, science, and many others. Although it is still colonized by Great Britain, that island and its people are a gift to the world. Yet, it is totally ignored. I think that it is brazen and intentional, but dominant society (white folks) could not care less! Once I visited the Cayman Islands and the same was true there. These people are wonderful human beings, but totally enslaved and colonized! How sad!!!
One correction Al, Jamaica 🇯🇲 gained independence from Great Britain in 1962. This year we’re celebrating 60 years of independence, therefore we’re not still colonized by the British. We are still apart of the British Commonwealth, but not a colony. One love from NY.
@@johnl6838 Thanks for your opinion, but you obviously don’t understand the concept of colonization. Jamaica is mineral-rich. Who owns those minerals? You don’t! Jamaica has to answer to Great Britain for virtually everything! Quit being a fool. Jamaica is not truly independent. I have been there several times and I was disgusted by the subservient level that it’s leaders accept in order to call themselves “independent.” It sounds like you are happy with the “arrangement “ there.
You are so extremely right. Money is what holding back our youth. When I was living in Jamaica, I always admire the inner city youths, they are full of raw talent and very skillful, I wish they get the help needed.

Your commentary is awesome. Very scientific and unbiased. Love it. These girls are awesome. We are built different for sure. @@angiemills9134 I suspect England’s issue is the same that a lot of Jamaican athletes face today. They need support from the diaspora when the come to the states. “Rapid rise” of JA’can sprinting? Oh please. JA has always been producing top world class sprinters for more than 50 years- most notably, Don Quarrie in the early 70s who won gold in the 200m and silver in the 100m at the 76’ Olympics. There are many other top sprinters from JA, Merlene Ottey, Grace Jackson & others, whose careers were eclipsed by the rampant doping in track and field in the 80s and 90s. Today JA’can athletes are positioned where they should have been placed before, and that is at the TOP.
50 years? Jamaica first competed in the Olympics in 1948 when Arthur Wint won the island's first gold medal in the 400 m. In 1952 Wint again struck gold as a member of the 4x400 team. George Rhoden who was also on the 4x400 team won gold in the 100m while a third member, Herb McKinley won silver in the 200m. Wint also won a silver in the 800m. The fourth member of the 4x400 team, Leslue Laing was the only one that did not win a medal in an individual event. 1952 to 2022 is 70 years!
@@asearchie I did say “for more than 50 years” but thx for citing more examples of our sprint dominance. I was focusing on the sprinters in the 100 & 200 but you rightfully reminded me of Herb’s silver in the 200m.
@Marcus Middleton Well your comprehension of what he meant is incorrect. He said “once again”, which implies that there was a period when JA’can sprinters weren’t as dominant. This, as we know, is incorrect.
@Marcus Middleton You’d be surprised to learn how many people don’t know this. Some Americans, including this commentator, appear to believe that the JA’can sprint dominance started with Bolt 😒 And as I said at the outset, in response to the ignorant comment in the video, there’s no sudden rapid rise of JA’s sprint dominance. We’ve been dominant for a long time now.
I believe that the world of track see there suprise coming to them from out of Jamaica 🇯🇲 and this is just the beginning for 2022 going forward watch and you all shall see by the grace of the almighty God, nough nough blessings to you and and let stars begin to shine...

We are simply and explicitly blessed. Jamaica 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 Land of sprinters track and field is in our veins. God has blessed this tiny nation 🙏🏿 with athletes that are amazing win or loose mi love them all. I watch these videos over and over again. I'm following the under 20's and pray that God will continue to favor them with health as they carve out their athletic future, and humble themselves while rising to the top. Bless them all and God bless mi yard Jamaica 🇯🇲
Jamaica always brings SERIOUS talent
Just gotta love the Jamaican athletes. Always entertaining and fun to watch with a little bit of swag 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🤗🏃🏿🏃🏿♀️
Thanks for this mate, was looking eagerly out for it and it has finally come, thank's for highlighting these athletes which continue to blaze up the track. The future looks bright and I believe they have the potential to break that record again this year. We love them and wish them more success and records going forward. There potential is untapped and I love the rivalry which pushes them to go harder. We are blessed with talents and the professionalism in track and field is second to none as well as the school program. keep up the good work with these well deliberated contents.
Congrats Briana so proud of you too. You are soaring high. Cant wait fir you young girls to be on the big stage. Keep up the good work.
Tia and Tina are twins.
Really shows how powerful genetics is. 😄
I like seeing the junior athletes b/c you can see the progression in their face r through their careers! It’s so cool to see them prefect it.
What amazes me is that most of them are running with their mouth closed the entire race. It's like they're not even trying that hard and still destroying.
Why would their mouths be open???
@@Anon.G you damn well know why he say that 😂.
@@876mostvaluabletreasure2??? He horny or?
Uhm the point he's making is their breath control is on a different level.

Still colonized?!!! we celebrate 60 years of independence as a nation this year!!
@@alrobinson261 Have you not heard the latest? The English will soon be kicked out on their asses. Check out the Prime minister's speech to the prince when he was in Jamaican last month. Don't be too sorry for the Jamaicans, they are like cats, always falling on their feet. Very resilient people.
Jamaica's NSE index (National Speed Expectations) is off the charts.
Spicy Reggae. ......Sport fans......Big up your Total running production...
Congratulations to you all team Jamaica 🇯🇲 greatest 🙌 stay bless 🙏.
FINALLY you post about Jamaica's top junior female athletes. Took you long enough. They're doing amazing things and deserve as much as these Americans you always highlight who go nowhere most times
Morher of the twins congrats my dear. I am so proud of them n the way you brought them up. Blessings to you n them. Wonderful job. Tears of joy come to my eyes the way i feel so good for them. Keep up the good work girls.
Speaking of young athletes, you really should make a video about Favour Ofili who just ran 21.96 seconds in the 200 at the Tom Jones invitational, becoming the first collegiate sprinter to ever run under 22 seconds in the NCAA season, and also becoming the Nigerian record-holder.
She's not "american" so they don't consider her as worthy as over 22 sec american sprinter
@@unodos6570 😂
@UNO DOS sure TRP goes on about Newbury Park and how fast they are, when Nick Griggs who is 2 months older than the twins ran a 3:56 indoor mile making him the 2nd fastest indoor junior miler all time. But not American so 🤷♂️
She is in college. These girls are in high school.
@@Angela-qs4cz Both are still under the age of 20 though.
most senior women national team cant run under 43 second much less 42.58 wow thats amazing
👏👏👏
Also remember that these girls are just 17year olds
I've been waiting on this video since last Sunday and it's finally here hooray🙌 ... I must say y'all haven't seen nothing yet, wait until *Kerrica Hill* hit the pros with these other young ladies, it's over for everyone else competing against *Jamaica🇯🇲* facts.
I'm telling you bro, kerica is a sprinting machine just look at those legs and body physiques, and she starts very well too. It won't be normal by if all these talented young ladies transition successfully. Our trials in the future will be like the Olympics or world championship.
@@kevinwynter792 My only worry is that some of them will be tempted to eloped and represent other countries due to the scarcity of available spots on the *Jamaican* team to major championships...🤔

I love this video @TRP Truly inspirational, motivating, and captivating. I was wondering though about the individual splits in the 4x100m. Keep up the great work TRP. You truly deserve more Subs.💪👍
I really respect the time you put into your content. As a fan of the sport, I appreciate the information you provide which enables me to catch with what's going on in track and field scene. Keep it up 💯

I am so happy for my beautiful girls they make Jamaica proud
I meet them at the Penn relays, awesome girls👍🏾
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK .I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL.GOD BLESS YOU ALL🙏///...
Your commentary is awesome. Very scientific and unbiased. Love it. These girls are awesome. We are built different for sure. I remember one night I was walking with my cousins in the hills of Jamaica. We heard some Movement in the bushes and took off like a bullet. Yes fear created our speed. My cousin said yu faas eeeh man. He didn’t know that I thought that it was a ghost. Ha ha
Back to the topic these young ladies are impressive. You should do a segment on the great Daniel England who could have been the best way before bolt. And a segment on the support that Jamaican sprinters that come to the states need in order to maintain the speed. Thanks
Each time I remember Daniel England and Rudolph Mighty my eyes welled up with tears. What if?
@@angiemills9134 I suspect England’s issue is the same that a lot of Jamaican athletes face today. They need support from the diaspora when the come to the states. Right now my family is helping one athlete. When he came he didn’t even have a winter jacket. Tough to thrive when you are not fully settled into having the basics of life.
@@yawdmac Blessings! Several years ago, I tried my best too at a very promising junior athlete (female) but because of ignoble people around her, I had to stop the corresponding. Truthfully I don't know what has happened or become of her.
@@angiemills9134 yeah it goes like that sometimes. Hope she is ok. Keep doing what you can because it’s more than about track but sometimes getting out of poverty and helping other family members
My Jamaica's athlete's grow even better for the future 👌🏽🇯🇲
Yes they are going to break more record at the warld 20 both the twins and Brianna 🙏 I am so proud of my Jamaicans ladies
Serena is also every talented. Loving the twins I believe that they will go faster in 2022. May God continue to bless them especially Brihanna
You must also watch for Adeaja Hodge of the British Virgin Islands, another powerhouse athlete who dominated the under twenty sprints and the long jump to win the Austin Sealy award at Carifta 49 in Jamaica this year .
Yes! She greatly impressed me. Look forward to seeing her at Juniors later this year. If she beat us (Jamaicans) at CARIFTA she will surely make at least semi-finals on the world stage -and hopefully medal too!!
Big up my Jamaican girls 👏👏👏👏❤🙏🙏🙏🙏! You ladies killing the 👣 🛤! Afo 🍠 and dumplings, dashing and coconut 🥥 😋 run-down talking in those legs🤣🤣🤣🤣...you ladies ready for the Olympics 🥰! So proud of my people ❤ 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲👏👏👏👏🙏!
When they interviewed Tina, she said they could go faster because the batton changes weren't smooth (in her estimation)
these athletes makes me feel proud to be a jamaican and I wish the rest of jamaica can learn to do the right things. Do the right things and let's up lift jamica. what a paradise we just need love
The girls did it again jamaica all the way..🔥🔥🔥🔥⭐⭐⭐⭐🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
serious statement here people, I left Jamaica as a teenager were I had descent speed. As soon as I stepped off the airplane unto US soil, I felt the speed force left my body, seriously no joke! It's something in the air down there man! 😀. So for you sprinters coming to the USA for the first time here's what you need to do...Bring a fried or cook dumpling in your carry on and right before you step off the plane take 2 big bites and you won't be affected. If I did that I may have been the first Bolt. Don't take no chance people, bring ur dumpling!
Next world championships needs to be in Jamaica 🇯🇲
We're a blessed country 🙏 ❤
Sprinting is our national sport. From you put your mind to something and practice, any and everything becomes possible. Our runners are sacred. They don't just run for themselves, but the entire nation. Perseverance, resilience and a growth mindset
BRIANNA LYSTON IS A BEAST 💯💯🇯🇲 IN THE MAKING AND THE SISTERS TOO
“Rapid rise” of JA’can sprinting?
@Marcus Middleton he never said “new sprinters”. He said “rapid rise of JA’can sprinting once again” Listen properly 6:44-6:47 😒
All the D1 recruiters are just hanging out in the Caribbean. Love to see it. I hope these girls are at the PENN RELAYS this week.
I hope not that would be their 3rd week of racing in a row. Back to back running like that may injure them b4 the wjc in August. Besides their schools have alot of other runners that can more than take their place and still win any race.
