- Tyson ‘TenZ’ Ngo is arguably the best Valorant player alive.
But TenZ wasn’t always the dominant force he is today. Before being heralded as a god of Valorant, TenZ was a failed Counter Strike prodigy.
He had all the raw talent and ability to become a star in that esport, but when his big break finally arrived, he just didn’t materialize into the generational talent fans were expecting.
Suddenly the words choker, overhyped and overrated began to attach themselves to TenZ.
And to some, It looked like he might not be as talented as his potential had suggested.
But just on the horizon was a second chance at greatness, one TenZ couldn’t afford to squander. Valorant.

Tenz didn’t fail us, we failed Tenz. Instead of supporting him, we ran him with bad expectations knowing he was a new insane player to the pro scenes expecting so much out of one person.
Tenz was literally to lazy to practice in CS. He only succeded in a game against other failures.
No. When he was still a cs pro he's knownfor blaming anything else from his teammates to his mouse, from the meta to his resolution. He also spent most of his time playing bot maps for clips instead of playing the actual game. He got called out by quite a few pros like stewie and astralis players.

You've got to give it to Shaz or whoever decided his role in Sentinels. They didn't force Sinatraa's role onto him but rather changed their game to match Tenz's style.

@@solomon1453 Dawg , if you play in names like FAZE and cloud , you will get stressed , Faze, tribe and c9 have not gone all out in the Valo pro scene yet but very soon they will and then the competition will get even more tough. Valo is fairly young and it's only time when people will surpass Tenz , the process of surpassing is always there

@@solomon1453 That is true , but not in the world of eSports , although there are many teams with good friendship , most of the teams are arranged by big sponsors like Intel and Razor so you are not to choose , and bad for tenz that he didn't fit well with the team , which makes him a bad eSports player cause eSports is much more than just being good at the game , it's about team understanding and compromises , even now in valo everyone has to change for his play style and ne never changes for anyone else which is a bad teammate. A great player is always versatile

csgo meta is hard to keep up its stressing even at semi pro level its a hassle, its very competitive, way less RNG aspect and most importantly it very team dependent while Valorant doesn't falls in any of this category, its a clone of CSGO with some new champion mechanics adapted from diff games I feel like Valorant is a mixture of alot of eSports Titles and most of the player base are casual scrubs unlike CSGO where most of the casual player bases are gone and only the veterans and pros are left still sticking to the game

BrokenKraken valorant is rng unlike csgo like no spray pattern random bullets so its more inconsistent thats any team can beat each other
I feel like when tenz signed with c9 he was under a lot of pressure against big names and was hella nervous. He went down a spiral hole with his mental and seeing c9's history they prob didnt not help at all. When valorant came in, he just played the game and didnt worry about competing or doing well so he popped off. mental is everything huh

As mentioned in the video, the main issue on c9 was more the attitude issues and playstyle clash. He didn't want to be a part of the system they had in mind, and it appears he would argue with them a lot (something he took pride in for some reason). This (along with the ridiculous price tag c9 had on him) led to him being blacklisted from most teams. His mentality was a huge part of his early career struggles.

Watching TenZ fail at cs was heartbreaking but valorant was the turn around. Not everyone gets this kind of opportunity but I’m glad TenZ did. Sentinels will win champs for sure.

I loved it when Tenz was fighting against Dapr in CS, and now he’s playing with him in Val
I know this is late. Maybe a year late. But this has been my favourite video ever since it has came out. The editing was amazing and everything about this video is perfect. TenZ is an amazing player and i will always think about him to be the best in the world. Watching them lose over and over again is heartbreaking to see, but 2023 i expect great things. Not to get hopes high up, but i think they have all the potential to become the team they once were.

I have 1 inconsistent round and im already tilted
i have a horrible habit (ironically so does TenZ and a ton of other people) where if i miss one shot where i didnt flick hard enough ill just change my sens and fuck my muscle memory up
i dont think ive had a consistent sens since probably early 2018 in any game
Truuee it truly is frustrating. There are times that Im playing good, my aim is on point and so is my decision making and everything but there are also times that Im playing like a newbie
That's a part of the learning process though. There's no reason to get angry, mistakes and losses are where improvement is happening
That's a part of improving though, just like when it's your day, there will come a day where it's just not your day, for example one time I bottom fragged a game so hard and couldn't move on for a quite a bit, I decided to move on and practice the mistakes I hard at that time, inconsistent gameplay is a part of improvement, just learn from your mistakes and keep growing in order to prevent that from happening

TBH he always got his cracked aim on his side all along. Through all this ups and downs that guy keept practicing in aim lab for countless hours and just because beast. When you have that one strongest ability no matter if you fail at the start you will undoubtedly succeed later. And this guy is just unbelievable with it.
this is a really inspirational story of tenz. this shows true relisiency. This shows that you don't fail when you get knocked down. You fail when you don't get back up. Everyone should never give up on their dreams even if you fail, because failing is part of success. Truly a great story shown.

Tenz had to throw himself into Valorant, nobody wanted him on their team in csgo.There were clips of Astralis talking shit about him because he can't perform on the big stage
I think he would have become a god also in CS: GO. The aim mechanic works the same in both games, unlike the spray. However, TenZ dominated the Spray and tapped and heated to a level as high as it does in the Valorant, it's a matter of watching their CS GO warm-up videos so that your aim explodes your head. This kid has a gifted hand for shooters, and due to his age he was not valued as highly as he should have been in CS: GO, but without a doubt, he too would have come to dominate the competitive CSGO scene. This dude is insane bro
@@Natch819 Another thing to factor in is NA csgo is a joke and that you either have to be the very best or be jumping from stack to stack in lower tier 3 teams. Tenz no doubt was one the best aimers in na csgo, but he was thrown into tier 1 cs too early. Some people thrive in being thrown into the deep end straight away like Stewie2k, but others like tenz need more experience. Also too much pressure does take a toll on some people.
@@Natch819 no chance. Saw him play in cloud 9, not only was he toxic to his igl, he didn’t perform at all. In fact players like daps often outfragged him.
@@thawtayza1892 there was a segment of the video explaining that the reason he argued so much and didn’t perform as well as he could have was due to conflicting strategies and play styles that weren’t willing to change because of tenz. While it could’ve worked for the c9 team, it didn’t work for tenz at all and there was nothing he could do about it except argue and wait to be benched. It’s a good thing he did though or else he may have not accepted the sentinels invitation or even had an interest in valorant since he would’ve been focusing on his csgo career
