People give these two new films alot of shit and while they have some serious flaws I can't deny just how powerful the scene where Kylo kills Han is. You can see the absolute heartbreak on Hans' face when he realizes his son chose The Dark-Side over his own father but the one thing you don't see is anger. When he touches Kylos face for the last time there is still love for his son and even pity because he knows he has gone to a place to dark for anyone to save him.
TheMuph agreed! not perfect but certainly better than they get credit for. and ultimately I think they'll stand the test of time and grow more beloved as the years pass, especially once episode 9 comes out and we have a complete trilogy. The Han/Ben confrontation was my favorite scene in TFA and it absolutely broke my heart. I love that Han forgave Ben in his last moments in such a simple, beautiful way. Can't imagine a better way to have done that scene and both actors were fantastic in it.
The reversed symbolism is awesome when compared to Return of The Jedi where a Son tries to save his Father and succeeds but here a Father tries to save his Son and fails.
I'm late to the commenting here, but I completely agree. I know a lot of people are very unhappy with the new films, but you can't deny there have been some amazing moments. The acting has been tremendous at times and this is one of those moments. Han's love for his son was still there even after when Kylo had just done to him. Beautiful acting by both Harrison and Adam. And then again in their scene together in the last movie.
I love this video/ song because it shows how much Ben Solo is missing those old times when he was little into a teenager. And, you can see the suffering happening in Han and Leia too❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
