DHCP Disabled Router: How to access the secondary router with DHCP off / used as Access Point?

- Did you disable your DHCP on your secondary router? And that you can not access the router at all? Well if that is the case then here is a useful tutorial video for you on how you can access your Secondary router even if the DHCP is disabled. And no you will not be required to reset the router and go through all the setup.
Regardless, if you have manually disabled the DHCH or are using the router as an Access point, then in most cases, you will not be able to access the secondary router. You will receive some errors while using the old IP address, but by doing some simple IPV4 setup you will be able to access your secondary router without doing any resetting. It will then be very easy for you to change the SSID or anything.

I have set up my 1st router LAN-1 to 2nd router WAN (only way i can have internet, primary does not have "wan" or "internet" socket). From my 2nd router I attached LAN 1 to PC. All worked fine but I heard I should disable DHCP on one of my routers, since my ISP's default /my primary router/ is complete trash... I disabled it on the primary while I allowed Secondary to do all that work. It worked fine for some time but now I've no connection no more or any way to access my Primary router's settings... Not sure if there is anything I could do...Would appreciate any help.
Not sure if we have correctly understood your issue, but try this:
1. First, check for any stickers on your router that contain the default gateway and login details. If there are no stickers, google your primary router model to find out its IP address for login purposes, along with the corresponding username and password.
2. Next, disconnect the primary router from the secondary router and remove all wires. Instead, directly connect your primary router to your PC.
3. Then, follow step 1:27 (in your case, it will not be through Wi-Fi but via a LAN connection, so you will see a different icon instead of Wi-Fi).
4. At 2:01 in the instructions, add the same default gateway that you found in step 1.
5. Go to that default gateway and use the login information from step 1. Then, you should be able to enable/disable DHCP.

Don't you want to make the ip assigned to the secondary router static so it isn't constantly changing? Maybe go back and make those final settings permanent. You maybe could have just started with ap mode. Let it get the address , make it static , then possibly set different broadcast channels for both so they don't overlap. Just an idea.
Tag the assigned Secondary Router IP address as 'Reserved' in the Primary Router DHCP table ??😅
Does not make sense what you say: You said in the IP4 properties in windows you must put in the gateway the "ip address you could access your (secondary???) router earlier" which you use x.x.0.1. But earlier you access your prim and secondary routers with x.x.100.1 and x.x.100.122😏

I found the same problem, after disable DHCP, I cannot connect to wifi at all, it keeps running and not connected. why u wanna do it?explain.dont do anything to ur main router,why are u disabling or enabling dhcp on it?just do what u want with the secondary.
