    We have cat window boxes in all our windows for the bearded dragons to look out for while we are in the room. This way they are safely elevated off the floor where they will not get stepped on and yet have a change of view for as long as we are in that room.

    My strictly indoor cats have a massive cat tree in front of a big window, a catio so that they can get outdoor sniffs, many toys and multiple beds to snuggle together in all over the house, plus I take the three year old for leashed walks outside in summer when it's warm enough for kitties (above 10°C.)

    Great video, I'm in the process of building a climbing frame in my snake room for my ball and corn, starting with 2 cat towers which I will modify, a couple of shelving units and hammocks, similar design to how you have yours. Enrichment out of the vivarium is just as important as inside. The ball has a 5 x 2 x 2 and the corn a 4 x 2 x 2 so I want to give them more to do outside of their enclosure.

    Just getting to know my babies and cluttering up their enclosures to give them something to explore (a corn and a hognose). My corn is being a challenge AFA socialization, but my hog boy is a sweetheart. We are learning together!

    I have a playpen with various enrichment items that I change up every so often. Shelving, grapevine, greenery, a ball with holes to climb through…….amd other things

    I snake-proofed an entire room and let them come out when they want. Someday the whole house will be available to them.

    All my snakes are working animals. They interact with people a lot, getting introduced to different scents an handling styles. Their current living area isn't safe for free roaming, but I'm building out a reptile room for them right now.

    at the moment i'm rotating what's in the enclosure, so far the ferret hammock with a chunk of cork is a hit. i also take the animals that aren't overly stressed by it (or a flight risk) out to the yard to experience weather. for my snake, she doesn't get ground contact. too many routes for ending up in a rabbet warren. but she does get a retired pool ladder full of hanging plants to explore.

    For my baby Brazilian rainbow boas I’ll fill huge tubs with room temp water and rocks or sticks or plastic or real foliage,
    They love the moisture and ability to hide under the leaves and be the little anacondas they were meant to be.

    I've been really wanting to set something up for my cornsnake- she was being raised as a rack breeder by her previous owner and didn't really have any enrichment or hides, and for the whole time I've had her she rarely does much other than stay in her favorite hide for days and days on end no matter how much enclosure space and enrichment I offer, which I know isn't good for her. She's much more active when she's out, and recently I had the idea that I could purchase a bird tree to let her climb on while out in my main living space. I haven't done it yet, money is tight as a grad student, but it's definitely my next big purchase! Definitely makes me miss my old job where I could've just gone out and gotten some invasive bush honeysuckle to treat and then build the bird tree myself...

    In my office I had my beardie and cal king. I took turns letting them out to just run around and be themselves all day.
    My bedroom had my blue tongue run around on the floor, traverse laundry. Books, etc. I set up a 100w UVB and hung it off a dressers and a cheap mist humidifier that came on for a minute every 15 or something. He loved it!
    My ackie gets the spare bathroom, some 1x6x5 to climb ramps and run all over. Intrigue stuff in there like boxes or paper towel roll tubs , too. A 100w power sun and companion halogen gives him 130degree spot.
    (Not all same time; only ackie now).

    We have a play tent for our ball python with many enrichment items like a wine bottle rack. She often asks to leave her enclosure at night to go into it, and we put her in and zip the tent shut for the whole night. She explores and exercises a lot in there. We want to build a custom tunnel permanently connecting her naturalistic enclosure with the snake tent, so she can go between them any time.

    I completely support this, I love the idea of adding "snakification" areas just most of my snakes are under 4' and slender (corns and hognoses). I need to figure out what it would look like in my space, to give them this freedom but still corral them in a way that I can find them again when I want to...

      Sounds like they’re too small to free roam (even in a contained area) but a large mesh playpen would probably work well. Fill full of enrichment items and you’ll be set 😊

    Hey there, i have a question about breeding, and despite googling like a mad-woman, i wasn't able to find much info on it.
    I've got a GC, Tiger male. He's 4 years old. I also bought a 100% Jampea female recently. She's also about 4 years old.
    But she's way smaller than my male, and I was wondering if it is even possible to breed these two when the female is only around half the size of the male.
    Love your videos, btw! Years ago, you got me into keeping retics. And i absolutely love them!

    • @ReachOutReptiles
      @ReachOutReptiles  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Sopimop it is possible, but probably pretty risky for the female if he gets aggressive, and very stressful for her.

    • @Sopimop
      @Sopimop 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ReachOutReptiles Okay, I may try it in the future, but only supervised. Thanks a lot for your response!

    • @ReachOutReptiles
      @ReachOutReptiles  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Sopimop no problem, good luck! If you decide against it for whatever reason, let me know. We have plenty of GC Tiger males already in Dwarf and SD, as well as others, if you want to make higher % Dwarf babies- since you have the adult female Jamp (pure breeder Jampeas are pretty rare to come by- and could be used to make some pretty sweet stuff).

      @ReachOutReptiles Sadly I'm from Germany. Otherwise, I would've bought an animal from you guys a long time ago! :)
      There's not much SD breeding going on in Germany. Generally speaking; the reptile-hype isn't as crazy here, as in the USA. But thanks so much for the help. 🙏
