Eye On The Anthracite Region - April 2021 - Kowalonek's Kielbasy Shop - Shenandoah, PA

Kowalonek's Kielbasy Shop in Shenandoah is celebrating it's 110th year of serving the people of the Anthracite Region. It's a popular place all year but the holiday season really has this business running like a fine oiled machine. Kowalonek's is now 4th generation owned and operated. They offer all the classic kielbasy favorites that have become part of this region's traditions but they also keep everyone's taste buds watering with some new menu items. Dr. Connors stopped by after seeing his patients at Pottsville Eye Specialists to experience Kowalonek's for the first time.

My family The Lawnick's live 2 doors from this newish building forever and still live in the double house. My Aunt Sophie and Uncles all lived in this town... kovalonicks didn't use to be here as i remember, My stepdad Cieslukowski owned a bar called The "What Knot" back then in the late 70's and i remember going down to the house/shop/basement for kielbasa... Seeing the newish building is nice...they use to just do it out of a house ❤️✌️
