    Well, uh, so far in my homestead I’ve put a chair down on top of a carpet.
    I’m waiting for inspiration before I do any more.

    Wow, I am impressed by the creativity you and many others have shown in building up the homestead. I envy your boldness and creativity. I would have liked to see a more complete view of the structure from the outside.

    I never thought you can make something so massive in your homestead. Great job!

      Thank you. The chonky building blocks available kinda steered us into building massive buildings, but it's awesome, it gives us a large platform for jumping puzzles.

    This is absolutely amazing and inspiring, great job! I will say that after seeing how much gold it has cost you that creating housing items should be cheaper. There are a large number of players that don't have the gold to do housing, and such a roadblock would be fine IF gold wasn't necessary for every other aspect of Guild Wars 2. If currency is necessary, then it should be "housing" currency, not gold. In addition, Wizard101 has a housing system where anyone can visit other peoples' houses (if the owner wishes), and houses can be rated/ranked and these ratings can accrue rewards for the owner, and that would be great to show off houses like yours. You have spent a lot of time and effort on this, and people should be able to go check it out anytime. When I played Wizard101 I always enjoyed seeing people stop in to my house to check things out as I was crafting at stations or whatever.

      True. Kinda wished players can stumble into the home and play with the jumping puzzle. The decorations can be lower for players if they only decorate the home and also not buy materials from black market. Still doable. most players actually do have the mats already sitting in their material storage.

    For those of us who haven't done much decorating in our own homesteads yet, can you share your thoughts about how expensive in materials it is to craft so many items?

    • @windowpane
      @windowpane  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It gets pretty expensive. like the cost of each item usually comes up to few golds worth in items per item. Simple big chunky walls that i used for the building, each piece costs about 1gold, the golden railings are about a gold a piece, The decorations you fill the place with like a pot of plant, chairs, tables, all costs about 1-10g or more.
      First week I think I spent about 4-500g excluding my own mats. Then once you get the base down, I guess you only craft things you need every week but it all adds up

    • @traveling.down.the.road56
      @traveling.down.the.road56 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@windowpane Wow! I thought it was going to be expensive, but those numbers are even higher than I thought they would be. I have only crafted items that I had mats for to see what they would look like, so I haven’t really started to craft a lot of things for building things yet. There’s a few things that need account bound materials to craft them, so I think that will increase the number of players returning to specific areas and maps to collect them.

    • @windowpane
      @windowpane  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@traveling.down.the.road56 You won't really notice it if you continue using your own materials. :) less heartache that way. But if you start calculating market price for the mats, it's a bit high right now.
      Edit: actually i was looking at the high price you have to pay if you exceed the weekly limit exchange and you buy more wood, fiber and metal from the station (black market) If you just wait every week to exchange, it won't be as pricey. So, don't buy from black market.

      @@traveling.down.the.road56 I have used from times my own mats from average pvp chest rewards and daily full homesteads clearing.
      Aside that for like making 100 of these pillars I made, I paid only 8-10 gold more.
      So no it isn't that high. There are certain pieces which can be 1 gold each but you don't mass make too much like that. Average good looking piece costs like 30-50 silver. This is aside the few rarer piece mats which can cost 30 gold+, which you don't need to make because enough alternatives

    Amazing! I am in awe of your skills. Do you know what the name of the painting is you have in the home portion of your maze? I have only found two paintings so far. The Divinity's Reach painting and the Priory painting. I can't wait to see what you do with new homestead items coming in the future. :D

    • @windowpane
      @windowpane  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That would be, a day in Kryta.
      There are only 3 paintings so far, if you bought the recipe book from the heart merchant.
      A day in Kryta, streets of Divinity's reach, and the Heart of the priory. Hope there will be more coming soon, I want my Logan painting. LOL

      @@windowpane Thanks for the info. I must have missed it. Though I have checked all the vendor books and they say I have the recipes. Will redo them all again to see if I can find the one I missed. Can't wait for more videos or your homestead adventures. :)

    • @windowpane
      @windowpane  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rowinnplays The painting came from the same recipe as the other two paintings you found. But maybe, see if you have upgraded all your masteries, cause the kryta painting is journeyman's level and divinity and priory are Apprentice level.
      Also, I am working on a restaurant :) and due to max cap at 1000 which I have already reached, I have gutted all the grass and covered my land in snow just so I have a bit more to work on a restaurant. My main building isn't fully decorated. Waiting for more decorations and, fingers crossed, cap raised.
