Believe it or not, I had this idea because recently, it has been raining a lot in my country, which is very rare in these months and it rained non-stop so I somehow came up with this idea for Yandere Simulator. After deep thinking and planning about this idea, I decided to make it real with a rainy week inside the game.
I think this week could work out very well with a rival like Oka, or just a random week, or maybe even a game mode where it's raining the whole game, in any case, I think it would be very cool and tried to make my own version with new features and balances. I didn't want to focus on any rival so I didn't, I wanted to explain how this week could work out, which of course could lead to new ways and strategies to eliminating your rival as there are new threats and advantages. There could be a lot more details about this week but I esentially explained the most relevant parts of this week.
As I mentioned, to balance this week a bit, some students will not carr about the rain and continue going outdoors like shiromi, who patrols the outside area of the school.

I think this is a great idea, YanDev already has a tripping animation(the removed spilling buckets animation) too, so it'll be easy to add that.
Then they would need to be able to slip on puddles too
Or the person your chasing slips then you can kill them easily.
Umbrellas are good features but isnt the raincoat useful for rainy week/day too?
I think YanDev can easily add this feature if he use a rainy day as a obstacle for the players.
Basically, it would rain in some days and in those days, all the students including Senpai and the rivals will stay inside of the school building, making harder to kill because everyone is in one place.
Also, you won't be able to kill students outside because Yan chan won't want to risk of making a mess, she'll say a line like this. "I don't think I should kill outside when it's raining. it's too risky"(That way, YanDev won't have to implement new features by adding rain in the game).
You won't be allowed to go on the roof as well, so everyone will eat lunch at the cafeteria inside, including your rival. that'll make it extra hard to kill your rival.
And as for the umbrellas, I like your idea.

People normally assume since it's raining outside you're wet lol. Maybe when the meter goes full, Ayano could get a cold and have to stay home from school, and if it happens again for X amount of times, it could be longer that she must stay home. She could also make others catch a cold if she could choose to come. (Etc.)

I really don’t think it makes sense for students to find it suspicious for you to be soaking wet, especially if they know that it's raining. They might make a comment when they see you, but they shouldn't give a reputation penalty.
Umbrellas shouldn't break every day. Even the cheapest, most low-quality umbrella should still last you through a whole week.
There shouldn't be so many types of umbrellas, because they all give very similar benefits. There should be maybe 3 or 4 different kinds, with only benefits and no drawbacks (since I'm not sure how much sense it makes). Having an entire store dedicated to umbrellas doesn't really make sense. I think umbrellas should be sold at the convenience store.
It doesn't really make sense for a school to have a Haystack dryer, since those pretty much only exist in places like public pools and waterparks.
The rain should probably sound pretty loud when outside, but muffled when indoors. I also think that a student screaming should still be heard over the rain. However, I like the idea of the range where students can hear giggles being much shorter.
Rather than having the rain wash away blood, I think it should depend on the type of material the blood is on. For example, if the blood is on a hard material like concrete or tile, the rain should just spread the blood around and in the end make it more difficult to clean up. If the blood is in grass or dirt, it should wash the blood away. This will make players be more strategic in where exactly they kill someone and be aware of where the blood with spill. Also, blood puddles should only wash away if the body has been moved away from the puddle, because otherwise it will just keep spilling more blood as it is washed away.
Rain should wash blood from your body, but not clothing. Once the clothing had been stained, it needs to be washed in an actual washing machine to get stains out. However, this means when you go to change your clothes you don't need to shower since it was only your clothing that was dirty.
Water puddles should be all different sizes, with some that are very large and will end up blocking off big sections. They should also be more blob-shaped and transparent, rather than blue. Puddles should very rarely form in grass/dirt, since it usually just soaks the water up.
Having Oka's week be the rainy week is a really good idea, since it matches the gloomy mood she gives off.
In general, I think this is a really good idea if you make some tweaks + some aesthetic changes!

There’s a reputation penalty because you’re literally soaking. It’s not deemed as suspicious like you say, but this elitist school would gossip about a weird girl running around soaked.

I recommend making the soaked water to be transparent or drip! My opinion, plain baby blue looks like paint instead of water! Also make the clothing have darker spots, just like in real life life when our shirts or pants etc get wet!

I really like that the rain is based on how well the player performs, it kind of makes me think that the rain is controlled by some higher source that is aware of ayanos doings (like the demons for example) and sort of punishing her with worse weather when she gets sloppy
Actually, the player can get benefits both if it’s raining and if it’s not, it really depends on the player skill, but in my opinion, the benefits are better when there is rain, that’s why if you perform badly during the week, the rain will stop little to none, so the player can get the full benefits of the rain 24/7

I think it can be changed a little
1. It is possible to make the puddle a bit transparent and then change the shape of the puddle to be perfect!
2. When it rains, all students will run to shelter from the rain, and they can also take umbrellas
3. It is to allow players to take a bath when they are wet in the rain
4. Let the students wonder why the player doesn't take a bath when the whole body is wet
5. Players can catch a cold because of being wet in the rain

It would be cool for Amai's week or Senpai's sister (Because they are the only rivals i can think of that arent going to be too challenging to eliminate). It could also involve a special elimination method (Electrocuting someone). Another thing to make this harder could be that the students wont go talk to you on the roof or anywhere outside. It would make the game harder which would be really nice. The teacher should bring an umbrella with her when going to investigate the blood and when she brings it it will stop the blood from getting washed away (If it didnt get washed away yet before the teacher came).
Yeah, or even take a picture before it dissolves, which can enable you to destroy the phone that took the picture before the police arrives. Those are cool ideas but I was trying to explain the main idea in general

I really like your idea but I think there should be some more pros and cons like for example:-
When you first arrive at school instead of walking everyone would be running to their classes. Since its still Osana's week, Osana's and Taro's conversations will be held brief and get continued rest indoors again. I imagine it to be as "____________Oh its seems like the rain is starting to pick up! Lets continue this conversation inside shall we senpai? " and if Ayano interrupts the convo the line could be "Oh we were just about to go inside... " and no reputation would be lost. As for Raibaru, After she watches Osana and Taro talk and talkes to Osana as well , she would rush to the girl's changing room to dry up a little which would give the player some benefits but while Raibaru is gone then again Taro and Osana's conversation will be held (1/3)
Another thing should be that a student won't investigate giggles outdoors just peek through the doors but only on one condition. If you are friends with the selected student, they would follow you outside if you asked but the timer above their head runs out faster.
When you leave your umbrella outside by accident, a student will pick it up and take it to the faculty room as they found a lost item. Now if it's a bad time (covered in blood) Ayano can't go to the faculty room all the sudden as she needs to clean up and if she doesn't come and get it again, the umbrella's water will cover some parts of the faculty room's floors so the teachers will just throw it away. Now since some students who have club activities outside (e.g. gardening club) they will now sit in the outdoor cafeteria since there is some shade there. So it will be close to impossible to dump a corpse in the sewers or other things.
I also really love how you mentioned different design variants get different benefits and I think if you buy a Wagasu (I hope I wrote it right) it will increase seduction stat but the disadvantage is since it's simply made out of paper and bamboo it will break easily. (3/3)
BONUS: If the soak meter goes up at least 4 times a week at one point Ayano will start to feel sick and won't be able to crouch and run faster. She won't be able to speed up time as she is extremely ill she can't look at a phone screen either can she drag or pick up corpses even if Physical Education is maxed. If you spend too much time out in the rain. Ayano will suddenly faint and the screen will go black and it will be written "The student council members roam around the school to see if all the students have reached class and see Ayano unconscious on the floor. One of the faculty members picked up out and took you to the infirmary room." Ayano will wake up and see the nurse in front of her. (Idea taken from mica) Ayano will receive a class pass for arriving late. Disadvantage? Ayano will miss 20 minutes of class time (time could have been used for various important stuff) Advantage? The nurse will give Ayano medicine which will make her open the cabinet where the Sedative is located (also free class pass XD)

As my thoughts, why not they wear a jacket if they're going outside, like what if it's really cold outside when it's raining. I think it's better to use a jacket unless it's spring-era. 😭 This video is amazing I like your ideas! it's would be so cool if it's something like this. I hope that this game has a full game, you know? THAT something would be so cool!
i guess they would wear jackets like on and off since the boys wear winter unfiroms and the girls wear summer, so maybe it could be like one day it’s not cold and everyone wears a summer uniform, then another day everyone wears winter one with jacket? I dont know my logic but here
in the 1980 mode yan dev created a concept for an abandoned rival idea it was supposed to be a rainy week for the rival and her elimination method was being electrocuted outside in the rain with a car battery. Wearing the rain coat during that week was not considered suspicious by the students and if you stayed in the rain for too long your clothes will get soggy and your reputation will go down if students see you in wet clothes. That's all the information I have on this abandoned rival concept so thank you and goodbye.

I love this concent sm! I also think that it would be nice having a ,,opened window" sabotage system,that will work like this:
1:There will be 1 person of each class that would water plants,put desks and chairs in their place etc.(after cleaning time).
2:On a random day,Osana would be the person.Raibaru won't be there but will be in the indoor cafeteria(or somewhere around)
3:Osana would need to take a small break and eventually fell asleep/go get a snack.
(You would need to bring a syringe to make her fall asleep)
4:Then with a screwdriver or a lockpick you would need to open the windows.
5:Push the drink/snack machine infront the door (need physical stat 2)
6:Some time after,Raibaru will try to investigate the class.You would need to befriend her,and tell her that Osana is on a sleepover with some students (prob bullies idk).
7:Leave the school.
Extra Details:
*The day will be the most intense raining day
*There can be also a ,,push a rival from the window" scheme but yall probably can imagine how it works.
*Another way to distract Raibaru is to put a magical girl wand,baseball bat or smth infront her to make her put the weapon away.
*This could work with any other rival i just made it with Osana cuz idk

Really nice, but sad to think it's probably never going to be anything aside from just a concept
YandereDev has talked about this in the past and said it's not gonna happen, because changing all NPCs' routines accordingly would be too much work. Plus, there are a significant amount of assets and small details who'd need care necessary for implementing a rainy day (specific animations for specific situations, new lines, balancement changes so the day won't be unfair to the player, etc)
It's basically a lot of work for just a week or some days in-game and in the current state of development, this is genuinely a massive feature. People in the comments are severely underestimating the complexity of this lol

I find the concept of rain in Yandere Simulator super interesting, but more than a week it could be special days between the weeks, not necessarily a whole one. It would work the same way to make it something new but not concentrated on a single part of the game. I loved it!

I think that:
1. The Umbrella shouldn't break everyday but more after a certain time of holding it. (different Umbrellas can have different durabilities)
2. You should be able to steal someones Umbrella but it should be hard enough to make it worth it just to buy one.
3. Put the hud up or left and make it fit more the games aesthetic
4: Make puddles fill up your soak meter a little even when you don't trip
5: Certain Students won't follow you outside if you ask them to such as: Easily scared people (the gloomy atmosphere gives them chills), The Bullies and other students who care a lot about their looks, any student you stole their Umbrella from. The heavier the rain is the wider the range of people not following you will be.
6. Ayano could get sick if she stays in soaked clothes for too long and would have to stay at home for a day

Overall this is a really cool concept and would like it in the game. The only issue i have would maybe be the intensity meter. I think kts overcrowding the screen and the soaked meter is alr at the limit but i think it works fine there. I think maybe when we open the menu/phone section there should be a weather app that tells us the current weather intensity without having it on screen yk? Apart from that and the puddle textures, this is a great concept well done!!
In my opinion, the rain could be in the week of muja kina, can we say that senpai gets sick and goes to the infirmary and that's how they meet?
hmm, like that could be a way of introducing muja, but I don’t think it should rain the whole week, and also more than 1 week of rain would be repetitive and boring in my opinion, I would give this week to Oka

@@velvet561 Yes you can buy it and use it the whole week, it won’t break, but I balanced it so it’s not ideal to use it in the long term, you can see the benefits it has in the weather store part
YandereDev could esaily add this to the game with a couple of mechanics, obviously some bugs will be seen easily. ( Bugs that could be seen are - Rain enters the building , It rains in the building ,
etc ! I thought of some advantages if this ever gets added to the game! Here they are !!
Advantage's Include -
♡ • Low Chance of getting spotted if you kill someone!
☆ • The screams of people will be muffled, since its raining. The scream wont be heard loudly.
♡ • You wont loose to much reputaion , since they could be fog , blocking the persons eyesight.
Disadvantage's Include
☆ • You'll loose some reputation if you're caught wet , since it would be prohibited because it would be soaking wet outside. ( You would only loose -5 points.
♡ • I liked the idea of huge beach umbrellas outside for students to hang with their buddies and breathe fresh air. It would be hard to make a student follow you , since it would be like a thunderstorm. Causing them to think you're trying to eliminate them wih your umbrella, since it has a sharp tip.
☆ • The player would trip if a student saw them commit a murder , since puddles would be created to make the player + the npc to trip. Since some are weak, they'll die immediately , on the other hand , some are very strong , and will only bleed.

I've got an idea! How about the students make a few mystery footprints when the first walk into the building or until they change their shoes. Then they have to clean the water up during cleaning time. Also I feel instead of an entire week, it coukd be 2 or 3 days in each weeks that are rainy rather than just one full week of rain for one rival. I woukdnlove if the rainy days coukd be added into yandere simulator.
Hi! This would be really cool ngl, but I'm a bit confused on when Yan-Chan is soaked, water isn't blue and it wouldn't make sense considering it wouldn't ig show that ayano was fully soaked? Plus it kinda looks like blue paint kinda spilled on her, (If that makes sense) No harm and everything but I think just like revamping that would make alot more sense! My vision is her hair is a bit darker and not in a ponytail (So the bit thats 'hiding' from the drying process in the hair tie can actually dry.) and her clothing is a little darker, making it look like shes actually soaked! No pressure though! I thought i'd tell you! Love this concept though, and I think it'd be a great addition to Yandere simulator!

I love this concept!! It would be a great way to make a certain week stand out even more compared to the rest! If one full week is too much I think a cool feature would be a weather forecast appearing throughout the game! Maybe on the Day transition menu where it goes from Monday to Friday? Kind of like in the Persona games where an icon of rain, sun or thunder would appear, it would make the transition screen less bland too. Maybe a little drawing of the forecast for the week could be included in a classroom somewhere on a board in school as a reminder or be broadcasted live as a short video from the Internet while on Ayano's computer before school?
I think another cool thing would be a weather reporter talking about the forecast on video (like they could say "at 10:00 there's likely to be zero rain until 12:00" or something like that, it would allow the player to have a heads up instead of relying on the sound effects!).
I don't like being pessimistic but this is all probably too ambitious for Yandere Simulator (or Yandere Dev I should say) to pull off correctly unfortunately - seeing as there's only one rival in the game after all these years.. Still an amazing video and concept! Great job!

I think an easy way to add this would to be a randomiser where theres a chance every week for a rainy week to happen! That way we dont have it for one specific rival but instead a chance for eveey week
i personally think there shouldnt be a new store only for one week so maybe just put the umbrellas in the convinience store cus japan's convinience stores normally sell umbrellas, specially on rainy days
2:58 I feel like instead of Ayano stayed out for too long she’d get sick and forced to stay home for a few days. Which, would cause a low reputation and depending if the rival was eliminated or not, a game over
yo what if there was a feature where you had to clean up any muddy footprints you'd make while out and about to help with your reputation, the atmosphere of the school, and/or your chances of being caught? they could also wash away in the rain, but slower than blood because mud is way thicker than water.
YandereDev should really add this!
It definitely would be very cool to see something like this, of course this video wraps the main idea of the concepts, but a real week would be more detailed

I think that rainy week should occurt when school atmosphere will reach zero. It will occurt rarely but these changes could occurt:
1. Students, instead of spending their time socialising OUTSIDE of the school, would socialise INDOORS.
2. Rival's daily scrypted events would occurt somewhere in the school(like outside of taro's class or osana's class)
3. Every student would run to the school instead of walking (only student that would be outside of school would be garden club leader, but he would probably be in the greenhouse or the shed)
4. Rooftop would be locked with a big padlock on chains (yes, ayano could use the lockpick to open the rooftop, but students wont walk on rooftop)
5. Some students would have a raincoat, others would have umbrellas, and some others would not have any. It would depend on their personality
I suggest a cutscene before this week starts which will contain Ayano watching a weather channel to know about the rain, and I recommend that the breakage of the umbrella shouldn't be unavoidable but rather a 25% chance that it might break and maybe increase it based on the intensity of the rain. and for the umbrella, I personally think that a normal house should have at least 1-2 umbrellas, so just putting them in the basement should be fine.☺
Question: why do the light music club girls look so scared? Are they afraid of thunderstorms?
I think this is an amazing idea to add to the game like the soaking system is a cool idea that I have never thought to see but when you get soaked I feel like her appearance should change more than just blue splotches like droopy hairs visible wet spots on her shirt when the meter is half full. ik this is a idea but I really think this idea should be added in the game keep up the great work 😊

I think this would best suit Oka’s week as it seems to be a very gloomy environment to match her gloomy personality. I do think puddles should just be the blood model but retextured to look like water and make them look a bit more transparent to actually make them look like water. I also think the same should be for the soaked uniform, keep the pattern of water, but instead of a blue texture make it slightly more transparent with a blue hue. Or, you could just darken the colours on the uniform and hair texture to give off an effect of being wet.
Or, kizanas. Since rain is dramatic in movie scenes and shes the drama club leader.
It'd be great if Oka's week is like this for darker atmosphere

It could be useful if you murdered someone ur clothes might get wet but atleast the blood stains will disappear which could be cool so u dont have to change ur clothes and all
I would like to see some students in their sweatshirts since they would be cold so if yanchan wants a student to stay inside, she could steal their sweatshirt or raincoat. And to know the weather intensity, yanchan could watch a weather forecast on her TV. The cooking club could give hot chocolate to students, boosting their reputation twice as much as usual, and more study points, since the rain makes students focused. Yanchan could get pneumonia too, resulting in her skipping school, this could occur if the player gets soaked too many times a week.

It would be cool too if the umbrella can be use as weapon too and it would cause suspicion for carrying a umbrella around the school and if theres blood on the umbrella she can wash it on the bathroom or at the sink. But yea i liked it and somehow i thought this is the new update

I don't think Umbrella can kill someone, it's probably just injuring a person. But somehow I had an idea: You can use Umbrella so you won't get soaked in water and not get in trouble, even in town. You can use it so some bloods that splatters will protect you when doing the fan elimination to Osana

i think that rainy week should have some other features, like:
1.Students wouldnt mind if you are soaked, if THEY are soaked.
2.When you would splash someone with water, they will run to the shower building and then run to dryer.

7.Sport club would train in the school's gym only.
8.Gardening club leader would wear a raincoat (if you kill anyone with the raincoat, you will not get splashed with blood).
9.If student dosent have a umbrella but dosent have raincoat either, they will stay indoors all the time (new personalities could be added like: Thief,they would steal umbrella or raincoat from someone else.Dolphin, they would not get soaked and will spend most of their time in the rain.

Rainy Week is perfect for Oka or Hanako. Oka because she has that gloomy aura to her while Hanako since most likely both Senpai and Hanako would stick together for most of the game especially if its raining then staying in doors, making it hard to murder her.
I think the umbrella would be a really interesting murder weapon. Some umbrellas have a metal tip at the end of them that is called the ferrule and I think it might be a really cool addition to the weapons we have in game that aren't normally seen as weapons by the other students. Students could question why you have an umbrella when its not raining and the umbrella could possibly work similarly to a katana or something. Probably not as effective though because it would mostly just leave puncture marks. You could make a puncture mark in the neck but you would probably have to have some biology skill for that and possibly some athletic skill to go along with it. That leads into another idea, it could have another feature including making the tip of the umbrella poisoned sort of like the death of Georgi Markov in 1978 where he was killed by the poison tipped umbrella. It's an idea lol.
I think the umbrella breaking is too harsh. Maybe instead of breaking the umbrella, maybe give it a set chance that it may break or a durability that differs from umbrella to umbrella? And maybe instead of an umbrella being unusable after breaking, you could repair it but the price of repairs get higher everytime? I love the concept though, keep up the good work ❤❤

I feel like it would be cool if you actually could steal a rival or a student’s umbrella. They would notice its gone later and they would search the classroom for it like they would for their phone. If they really had to go outside, they would get their clothes wet and they would go change which gives you the opportunity to kill them. Also, if you put a note in their locker, and it’s a place outside they would refuse.

i dont think your umbrella should break. umbrellas are sturdy! especially the wooden handled ones. also, they would be sold at the convenience store

It would be better if after class it was still cloudy, since then the sun would not be seen and the day would not turn yellowish, or if the day is going to be yellowish, a rainbow would be seen xd

I think its a good concept but I’m not a fan of your reputation going down just because you got wet from rain. Its not uncommon to forget an umbrella and have to go outside in the pouring rain and its not unreasonable so I don’t understand why anyone would get suspicious because of that or think less of you. Other than that, great concept.
this is a great idea but when ayano gets wet it looks weird, seeing as yan sims graphics are great when ayano gets wet she could have her bangs drooping down on her face and her ponytail is more lower, same for her skirt it droops down (not in a weird way lol)
oh and, if yanchan kills outside the blood could spread meaning if there are people near and the blood spreads far they would be like "huh whats that?" and follow the trail of blood.
since yan dev wanted to have a rainy rival but cancelled it this could be a possibility!
