I am so very sorry to hear about your sister. I am going through something similar. I lost my 22 year old baby sister March 9th. We don’t have any answers at all. My mom and another sister found her dead in her bed. It looked like she was in the process of getting dressed… The coroner has absolutely no answers and we’re still waiting on the tox screen. She didn’t have addiction issues but she did have mental health issues. Maturity wise and intellectually she was a very young teenager. She was born at 24 weeks but never had any health issues from about 12 months on. She did however struggle socially and emotionally. So now we wait to see if her new medication caused issues or heaven forbid she did decide to take her own life…but then why get dressed? Oh, it’s just a painful mess especially bc I helped raise her. So, different circumstances same excruciating pain 😢 I’m proud of you for pushing through. It’s not easy and at times doesn’t seem possible but it is. Sending you prayers and huge hugs ❤

Coroner only has an idea that it may be sleep apnea related (which was her only physical issue from her early birth but it was BAD). He can’t give us answers, just some educated guessing. Someone equated it with adult SIDS (which of course would be SADS) but it can actually happen with some folks with disabilities. They just…stop breathing. So, frustrating update but at least it wasn’t something someone had done to her. How are you doing with living life without your sissy? I think of you often and wish that no one ever had to endure this pain we share 😔
