A very friendly word of advice …channels on here with ten / twenty times your members take the trouble to make a brief response to every comment ( not just 💛 ) it shows appreciation….like you and the content very much …just very friendly feedback..Good Luck Peter P
I understand and I normally try and reply to everyone but holding down a full-time job looking after two kids and a wife that's still ill I'm struggling to upload a video every week never mind replying to everyone's comments. But I will try my best and thanks for the advice I appreciate it. All the best 👍
My 78 year old heart goes out to you.! I can fix older vehicles which are much simpler but it seems that more modern vehicles, although perhaps more reliable, are only fit for spares if anything goes wrong, is this progress? Best regards from Ireland.
A very good and welcoming video hope that wife & family 👪 are much better 😊. Ref, the van firstly check out all the rust areas. Unfortunately it may be a scrapper but tidy it up firstly remove moss ect get it advertised as spares or repair that's all you can do
Welcome back! Lots of comments saying “get rid” - to me al depends on that underside, and how much extra needs to go back into it. The cost of Commercials at the moments is still high, so people are always looking for lower end of the market - is she’s not about to fall into two pieces, tidy her us aesthetically, VERY deep clean, and see if there’s anything you might be able to do Engine-wise would be my advice, rather than just weighing in Keep ‘em comin’ JCHK
In my opinion, mate, get what you can out of what you've got and start a fresh. Maybe start a challenge, I've seen a few doing "the road to £10k challenge." Start off with £1000 - £1500 and flip some nice, easy, quick fix, quick profit cars. I think that will help you get a good following. I hope the channel continues to grow and you make it successful while also profiting on the cars 👍🏻
If you’ve got the Audi advertised online you should put a link to that advert in the description of all of your TH-cam videos until it’s sold, someone whose watched the work you’ve done on it might actually pay you the full asking price, worth a try I reckon 👍🏴
If your fed up with it, get rid but you’ve worked wonders with other stuff so have look underneath and make a decision. I have a Fiat Qubo which is a pile of poo. I swapped my perfectly reliable, fun Citroen C1 for it and I really wish I hadn’t. I’ve finished sulking and in one afternoon of fettling I’ve nearly sorted it. 👍
Brilliant video mate!! I really hope your Wife is continuing to feel lots better 🙏 I’m so sorry it’s going to cost you so much to get the Audi’s clutch done. I really hope getting this done means you’ll sell it easy now 🙏 The transit project isn’t looking good is it?! But hey, I guess anything is possible right?! Best wishes to you, Mrs Reviving Salvage & all the family 🙏
it would be good if you could the transit everyone loves a transit and it would be good to see the underneath but i can understand you just want a clean break great vid as always
Great video mate. I've got a MK6 transit and was in much worse condition than that. Took me a year doing all the welding but i was fabricating the sills , cross members, foot wells and arches myself. Did it in the open under a car port. Cost me 4 sheets of 18 gauge steel @ 1 meter x 500cm each. Got cheap flux core mig welder to do it. Sprayed it all using £30 cheap low pressure gun from ebay and cheap 50litre compressor. Worth the work. Ive had loads of offers on the fly wanting to buy it. If you have the time i'd say do it. Van prices have rocketted in last year
doing the right thing with the clutch mate, tbh i wouldn't even mention its had a clutch the cars not done many miles 50k odd and had to replace the clutch makes it sound the cars been driven hard? also i'd polish up them exhaust tips or spray them satin black so when you take all the new pics in a nice location this should help you sell the car quick Good Luck! also fresh MOT
I weld them things all the time at least one a week , I can tell you without looking it’s rotten! But like them all it can be done , but if your looking to make the body tidy looking, it won’t be worth doing . Pretty sure engine noise is not injector related .
A bet your views have shot with this vid, I haven’t been recommended by you for a while but a van that common will always surface to me, (ps I have this van which I’ve converted to a camper) best of luck mate
Very loud knock ? Could pick and decent replacement engine for £500-800 I’ve got the same model and year loads of little bits constantly with the engine u will be easier buying replacement parts from scrappy to repair rather as trying to fix body work and doors will take more time and money than just replacing I’ve put a day van setup and carpeted the rear in the back of mine looks good once done 👍🏻
That also goes for engine parts as found out that most parts from like euro and npa etc the engine doesn’t like and was only resolved with scrappy parts 👍🏻
If don't need welding I'd clean it up as u say footboards and inner sills side steps etc all common place rebuilt the foot boards on Mrs dad's and it's only panel can't buy so had to make new one was simple ish came out stronger than factory as used 2mm steel welded seam sealed red ex's then stone chipped went for mot passed no problem as for the little Audi doing clutch good as it's clean little car give exhaust tips a good clean and polish be sold
Gave you my opinion in the clip where you explained about your wife being unwell ( regards and really hope she’s improving) ..this clip re-enforces my view “ get rid / line in the sand time”
Hi Do you need some light upgrade for your Van or other vehicles?. We're the pro auto lighting manufacturer for nearly 20 year and we're looking to do some sponsorship!
I don't need lights at the moment, and the projects i have wouldn't do your product justice, but thanks very much for the offer. Hopefully, work together in the future
I've got a 2012 Mk7 Transit, 190k miles but the bodywork is starting to get very tatty, engine is still good although it's got a small oil leak.. I'm in two minds as to what to do with that too. On one hand it's going to need a decent amount of money spending on it before the bodywork disintegrates, but on the other hand van prices are still obscene at the moment. Is it worth spending on it and keeping it for another few years or cutting the losses and getting another, which will likely be overpriced and potentially have a load more issues...?
I would just clean up the van and sell it for spares or repairs pointless to spend money to loose money just take the hit, learn from it and move on to the next project
It's a heap rubbish, you may have to pay someone to take it away. Although you might get £300 for it down the scrap yard, something you proberly should have done a year ago. You need to be much more selective on the projects you buy. Your a tryer i'll give you that lol
It's more hassle than it's worth probably get more off scap man from a year ago get rid down the road mate don't waste ya time an money and give your self a headache

good to see things working out better, clean the van up a bit and sell for spares repair and buy something easier to work on, good luck. Lee
Get the sump off to see what state the bottom end is in before you get rid.
Sounds like. Bottom end knock in the transit. Weigh it in.
My 78 year old heart goes out to you.! I can fix older vehicles which are much simpler but it seems that more modern vehicles, although perhaps more reliable, are only fit for spares if anything goes wrong, is this progress? Best regards from Ireland.
They have definitely made things harder to fix unless you own a laptop. lol thanks, buddy

That Audi sounds sweet cold start
Probably time to move the van on

It hasn't got much hope being a Scottish car it will be rotten as a pear in no time.
I would personally sell the Transit spares or repairs and put whatever money towards the clutch on the Audi S1.
I weld them things all the time at least one a week , I can tell you without looking it’s rotten! But like them all it can be done , but if your looking to make the body tidy looking, it won’t be worth doing . Pretty sure engine noise is not injector related .
Where did you buy those shelves with the mess shelves please?
Nice to see you back. I would just wash it and shift it you will be opening up a can of rusty worms.
A bet your views have shot with this vid, I haven’t been recommended by you for a while but a van that common will always surface to me, (ps I have this van which I’ve converted to a camper) best of luck mate
It's all up to you mate work on the van or don't
I had a ford sounding like that. Turned out to be slightly out of timing.
Right decision with audi,as for van tidy up & bang it on spares & repairs
Great video mate

I'd sell the engine (if it's ok), the gearbox and then the van for scrap. Should get you around £700-800 at least
Afternoon mate
More Peugeot vids pls
Gave you my opinion in the clip where you explained about your wife being unwell ( regards and really hope she’s improving) ..this clip re-enforces my view “ get rid / line in the sand time”
Too much work and time m8 I think but up to you

@@RevivingSalvage No problem mate! Hopefully could have a chance to work with you in the future, we always open to do some sponsorship with you!
I would do it up

I think you should scrap it sounds terrible. 😢
I would just clean up the van and sell it for spares or repairs pointless to spend money to loose money just take the hit, learn from it and move on to the next project
Rust ain’t the problem . That engines fooookd
I think it’s the end of the road of this
Engine knock don’t sound great
I’m looking for a cheap van though 👍🏼
I think the transit looks like far too much work for it’s worth, but saying that if you were to fix it all, it would make great content.
A very good jump starter for £13000 with 4 wheel drive.
😉
Yeah I was thinking the same thing lol
I'd out the van ASAP.. Engine sounds rotten.
sorry the van needs to go, its a scrapper in my opinion
If someone is interested in the van, the body work is the last thing they want.
Lucky it doesn't have a dmf
That probably wouldn't work either lol
Get rid of Van pal…. a headache you don’t need right now 👍
🚘👍
It's a heap rubbish, you may have to pay someone to take it away. Although you might get £300 for it down the scrap yard, something you proberly should have done a year ago. You need to be much more selective on the projects you buy. Your a tryer i'll give you that lol
Get rid mate always money pits transit, start a fresh
Sell the van as it could be a money pit !!! Good luck with selling the Audi S1
It's more hassle than it's worth probably get more off scap man from a year ago get rid down the road mate don't waste ya time an money and give your self a headache
Move the van on as is, not worth putting anything into it
Move it on not worth it mate
Give it to me
I would sell it on
Not worth it
Sell the van as it is,starts & drives.Engine doesn't sound clever & it will be a money pit for you.👍
