    Using leftovers is not only being economically smart, but is also a great way to teach ourselves how to be creative. I normally use strips of leftovers to make backgrounds, but I like your idea better, that is, of making tiles and inking the edges. Your cards here are so pretty that anyone would think that you purposely cut up all these tiles, instead of actually thinking of a way to use leftovers. You are so clever!!

      I do try to use up scraps when I can and recycle when I don't. :) So glad you enjoyed the video. TFW!

    I usually use my scraps at the end of the season for cards for the next year. These are very cute cards.

    Cute remnant cards, Alicia! If you have not thrown away your opps piece, you can always stamp the sentiment again on scrap paper and fussy cut it out leaving a generous border around it to cover the oops part. 🎄

      I have already recycled that piece, but that is a great idea for next time. Because there WILL be a next time ;) thanks for watching and your suggestion

    I am finishing up my 5th set of cards from this sheet-load. I now have a good stack of leftovers... I see scrapbook pages in their future. Thanks for leaving your learning curve in. The struggle is real some days!

    I love the traditional colors used here and the ephemera/cutouts are darling! Your planks remind me of a quilt today, I like it. Anything smaller than 1-2 inches I usually scrap but I keep lots of scraps, when I am over whelmed by the excess I do start to clear out more generous sizes. For the most part I do use my scraps and don't have a good system for storage=manilla folder. Thank you Alicia

    Great job! I finally went through all my boxes of scraps and narrowed to a basket I can put on my table and pick from. I am not opening another pack of cards till this is dealt with. 💖💖💖🌹🤓

    Thankyou for a video showing what to do with leftovers!! I really don't like having scraps, they just pile up ( I 'recycle' mine quite quickly!)
    One thing I do do now, is try to use the scraps up inside the cards, with paper strips or fish tails, or fussy cutting some of the paper pattern out eg a flowers
    I have used big scraps to line the inside flap of an envelope too, so it matches the card.
    Thanks for your videos, I am loving trying out your sheetloads and have done about 5 in the last month since subscribing to your channell! Lots of great inspiration :)

      That is a great idea for the inside flap of envelope - I will have to give that a try. :) so glad you are enjoying SheetLoad. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Scrap cards are among my favorites to make and see come together. I do a lot of herringbone backgrounds with mine. It always amazes me that some of the "ickiest" looking paper I have looks good in something resembling a quilt. I didn't think the "overly green" card was too bad, especially since I love green, but the red was a great addition (also a favorite color). I make those stamping errors all the time. When I can I cover them with a strip of colored rhinestones or a ribbon. It cuts down on my swearing. 😉 A ribbon wouldn't have looked too good on this style, though. Nicely done! More scraps videos, please.

      I have done the herringbone, but it was years ago - I need to try that again - thanks for the reminder and for watching. :)

    One way I use my scraps is as a border strip (or sometimes a circle or other shape) on the inside of the card.
    The placement of "Season's Greetings" made what you thought was too much green work!

    • @CallMeCraftyAl
      @CallMeCraftyAl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I definitely need to work on decorating the inside more and scraps would be perfect for that. Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment. :)
