Seider is for real, watched every game this season so far, he's already so comfortable. Time to enter the Seider/Raymond era.

Big Frame, physical, skilled, nice shot and can skate "amazing footwork for a big guy". Yeah he is the real deal. The only thing I see is the dangerous pass here and there but he will grow out of that.

@@faunbudweis If I'd have read that in the first half of the season, I'd have said....."he's good but lets not get carried away and lets not put that kind of pressure on him". As of now I 100% agree with your statement. He's doing it in the NHL, he's doing it at the World's. He's doing it, and even though he's different to Lidstrom, there is no doubt he is of the same calibre. And he's still only 21. He entered the NHL at 20 and looked super comfortable. Thats what blows my mind. You can find another Lidstrom if you look hard enough and if you are lucky enough with the timing, but another Lidstrom who is a 20 year old and already looks like a completed player? Nah, thats impossible. Isn't it? Apparently not. Oh, and he also played the entire season, every damn game like an ironman. Same with Raymond. No wonder Rayzor needed a break from the World Championships, but Seider just went there to the World's and kept on rocking like it was no effort. I cant believe how lucky we are.

The way Seider plays reminds me a lot of McAvoy. When McAvoy first came into the league, he had a very similar poise and confidence. Just an undeniably effective defenseman who plays like a veteran. Super calm in his own zone, a stick that disrupts any play in the vicinity, can join the rush, great breakout pass, decent shot and will throw a big hit when the time calls for it. Scary to think that Moritz is 4'" taller and probably a bit faster than Charlie. Red Wings fans should be elated.

He so much fun to watch. He has some real skill on the blue line. Nothing like watching a defenseman at work.
It is such a thing of beauty when done perfectly. Even though I am a die hard Bruins fan I really enjoyed watching
Larry Robinson play. He was 6'4" and 225 which was big for the 70s but he was an incredible athlete. He could
skate, pass, score.hit and if need be drop the gloves with anybody just ask the animal The Hammer Schultz who
was known as one of the best fighters in hockey history. Larry took good care of him. Hopefully we can start seeing
more and more great defenseman like there were 30,40 years ago and even 50 years ago.

60+ years following pro hockey, best ever D-man I saw play, in person, was Bobby Orr. Young Seider has some fine skills, which he can hone & improve to All-Star status; impressive perception/ read of the ice is top notch for 20 yr. old, looking forward to his ascension to Norris trophy winner; BUT some weak areas of his game will eventually be revealed, and one which I noted was a lack of explosive speed to the puck when committing (or attempting to alleviate a teammate's) gaff or watching that great pass he just made instead of keeping his "glide" up; he's gonna get heavier & stronger and maintaining momentum rather than having to power up every change of possession will keep him that Norris every year. Another "adjustment" is laying on unnecessary hits; eventually refs will see he hits just after puck is gone and leaves his feet ever so slightly; enough bitchin' by league team reps (with video evidence) will get his game toned down; as he plays more his stick skills/ moves will become known, even predictable to opposing forwards so the more he can improve his skating, the more valuable he is at what the game really showcases: fast, instinctual positioning for passes and rushes to advance the attack & backcheck/stifle offensive attacks. Detroit on the rise making hockey worth watching again as I head into my 80's, Habs fan since 9yrs. old but Mr. Howe & that era's collection of original six always in my heart. My 2 cents D(

gotta appreciate such incredibly detailed analysis!
And gotta give back the hockey love the opposite way from a Wings fan growing up in the 70's, ALL our pro sports franchises were so Dismal,
and to see the ridiculously dominant in every phase Canadians of that era was something else.
pretty sure i still have my Guy LaFleur hockey stick.
Always wondered what happened to their coach after he left Montreal, Scotty something or other...

You deserve more recognition for sure, always superb editing and it’s evident these videos take a lot of effort to produce, keep it up man.
Trevor Zegras or Mat Barzal could be two awesome players to look at also, both players that I feel do so much more in the game than what their point totals show.

Seider was supposed to have gone somewhere around 25th overall. Nearly every ranking had him down there, 15th at best. Detroit taking him at 6th was a shocker, even to him. Even then, some fans were defending this pick.
It aged well. He could have gone first or second in hindsight.

He definitely will play that long, you can tell. The guy is super professional and will take care of himself and guys who take care of themselves and live right go on for years.. No stupid boozing or clubbing for this guy, he is destined to be a RW legend and I think he knows it and embraces the sacrifices. He will be an A in short order and it will not surprise me in the least if he takes over the C after Larkin is done..

This I agree with. I was so dissapointed with the reaction that so called bloggers/youtuber streamers gave to this pick. Some of them were devastated and had no compunction about showing it live on youtube for the world to see. I still laugh at them to this day. You can find their reactions to the pick on youtube still, it's funny to watch, but disconcerting that they don't trust Yzerman AT ALL and it showed in that moment. They talk the talk (#InYzermanWeTrust) but they dont walk the walk (#Seider!?! What are you DOING Stevie??? NOooo!!! omgz omfggz #WastedPick etc etc). So it was like, yhea.....welcome to Detroit Mortiz this is how much we want you - we were disgusted you got picked.
Now they cant get enough of him Losers. I wish these guys would have the grace not to broadcast their lack of trust or their lack of post-draft class (now they pretend they are his biggest fans and cant stop raving about him in their streams......idiots).
