    Wow! That is too cool! Answers a lot of questions as to why you keep getting pecked over and over when crappie fishing. Dry those filets, coat in olive oil, season filets, coat in toasted panko crumbs and bake for a "healthy" version.

      I think it is another tool, we all thought the Alabama rig was the end all, be all to bass fishing and fishing is still just as good as it ever was. You still have to figure out how to make them bite. I was amazed at how many fish looked at the bait and never bit.

    • @The_Garmin_Guru

  • @bassinwithbuck4955
    @bassinwithbuck4955 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Here is my take on it. If you are fishing for suspended fish it is unbelievable and can be a HUGE asset. The negative is I find myself staring at the screen and less time casting if I don't see active fish moving. If fish are holding close to the bottom it is my believe that using your side imaging/down scan to identify high percentage areas while keeping a bait wet is still the best move. Don't get sucked into a trap of thinking there aren't bass down there just because you don't see them on the live screen. Keeping a bait in the water is still the best way to go.

    Am I alone in thinking electronics are ruining fishing. Fishing used to be about understanding fish, to find and catch them. Now all it comes down to is how well you can use a fish finder. If I want to play video games I will do it at home. When I'm on the lake I want to enjoy being on the lake and enjoying the outdoors. No stare at an overpriced LED screen. Just my opinion.

    What chance do the fish have? You see them , their size , and how they react . This is not much sport !! Now anyone can catch fish . Technology has replace knowledge and skill. Video game fishing. To much advantage to the fisherman, hope the tournament officials offset this with limiting line size to even the playing field . It be hard to catch fish in brush pile if you could only use 6 lb test. Think the are lure shy now , just imagine every boat with these units.

    I think sonar technology has gone too far and it's going to impact our fisheries. A lot of big bass are going to end up on people's walls with this technology taking out our big fish genetics. I loved the paper maps and triangulation days before GPS. When you had to work to find the sweet spots that everyone wasn't pounding on.
