Been decades - February 1987 - There was no Chounaird/Black Diamond cams being produced….the only SLCD were Wild Country Friends on solid stems, no cables. Metolius were making cabled TCU’s (3 Cam Unit) I remember both Pink & Red Tri•Cams from Lowe’s being very helpful.
Great video. Been wanting to hop on the 10c to the left of this for a while now. The lines on this wall look stunning. Huge congrats on your recent El Cap send dude!!!
So, that's what the upper part looks like... Nice! I've floated about on this on TR, never got past the crux. Done a few passes on Clean and Jerk nearby.
Cool looking climb. Nice job. Not an onsight though. Guaranteed you have watched videos of this and you got gear and hold beta before and during the climb. Flash.

Loving the beta breakdowns! I would love to have an even more in-depth discussion about the harder moves.
2 pieces instead of 1 is a good method. You never know when a hold will break and you need to rely on them. Great job and nice video
Very true!

There was a story about “Yabo” John Yabkonsky 3rd Clssing this in Converse Chuck Taylor’s ….. considering it was Yabo it’s more than likely true

Such a fun climb. That shallow hand before the first rail is not so great haha. Sports challenge is a great piece of rock.

Was your partner Steven a guide? I once climbed in J tree with a guide named Steven. Sick climbing btw!
Nope, he is just a great friend. Will be shown a lot in the new video coming out today.
Can I join with you
placements look very good, why do you backup everything.
peace of mind, you never know...
Always keep 2 pieces between you and the hospital
Totally agree. Wasn't sure what was coming up ahead so wanted to be ready to rip and or whip.
Beta breakdown of boulders in a gym while people are climbing would be magnificent.
lol
hahah
haha like they are climbing and I just set up a booth in the corner with commentary? You might be onto something!
Dude how bout you not make beta vids about anything… and let people figure it out themselves… fuckin do it…
