    This is great, I didn't know you could freeze it for use later. I'm getting my first batch of tilapia in a few days and got my duckweed to raise!

    Is it necessary to have slow moving water for growing duckweed ,or in another word can i grow duck weed in microcosm (stagnant water)

      I grew duckweed in a dishpan. I harvest it every few days for my goldfish. My experience suggests that natural sunlight is best. The duckweed did not like my grow led lamp, so I moved the dishpan to my backyard, and it grew really well.

    Hello si l5ra
    Does this plant need to pump oxygen into the tank to grow.?

      what ?

    • @watcherworld5873
      @watcherworld5873 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      No. The duckweed floats, so it gets all the carbon dioxide during the day and all the oxygen during the night straight from the air.

    Is the Duckweed another name of the Azolla or something else

    • @stevenwicks6451
      @stevenwicks6451 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe they are different. Duckweed is lemna species. Azolla is a different species, and is nitrogen fixing (I dont think duckweed is nitrogen fixing).
